CD98G040 Clean around the sediment bowl, then remove the bowl from the filter element, unscrewing it by hand.

STEP 3

CD98G040 Clean any dirt from the pre-filter head. Install the new filter element, complete with its bowl. Make sure it is correctly oriented by aligning the vertical mark with the bleed screw. Insert the filter element, pushing it gently upwards. Turn the knurled ring until it clicks.

STEP 5

CD98G040 Remove the drain screw and its seal supplied with the new element. Check the condition of the sediment bowl seal, change it if necessary, apply a thin film of oil to the seal, then install the sediment bowl on the new filter element, tightening it by hand.
