KS3 Trip to The Playhouse Open Morning And Evenings The Hewett Academy will be holding an Open Evening for prospective Year 7 students on Thursday 1st October from 7:00pm until 9:00pm. Parents and students will be able to tour the school, meet our staff and students and come see what makes The Hewett such a unique place to learn. If you would like to visit the school whilst in session, we will also be

holding Open Mornings, details of which will follow. Parents will be able to meet with key members of staff, have a tour of the school and attend a question and answer session with the Headteacher, members of the Leadership Team , Heads of Houses and Fiona Richardson who is the Principals PA.

On Tuesday 15th September a coach full of Key Stage 3 students went to The Playhouse Theatre to watch a performance of 'Edward the Learned Pig' by the Krazy Kat Theatre Company, which is a short and curly tale of itinerant circus folk and a Pig who taught himself to read and is based upon an unpublished poem by Edward Gorey. We witnessed a crazy performance of circus life, a sign language spectacular and a breath stopping silk trapeze artist. Students were thoroughly mesmerised!

Netball and Korfball Club

Some Year 7 girls have attended and are amazing! Miss Lawrence thinks they have a good netballing year ahead of them!
