CREEPY KOOKY FAMILY MUSICAL IS COMING
THE ADDAMS FAMILY musical, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family is coming to the Brolga Theatre next month. Based on the television series made in the 1960s, this original story revolves around every father's nightmare; his daughter, Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn't upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Maryborough Players are proud to present another fabulous and entertaining musical to be performed at the Brolga Theatre on Friday 9th September at 7.30 pm and Saturday 10th September at 2.00 pm and 7.30 pm. With an exciting host of cast and crew lead by Director Tim Holstein, Vocal/Music Director Cherie Treloar and
Choreographer Kaitlyn Spalding. There will be familiar faces you will recognise in the cast and other cast members who are 'treading the boards' for the first time.
said being a part of the show was incredibly fun, “We get to play with classic incredibly recognisable characters and flavour them to suit a contemporary humour, and it is impossibly fun and funny.” He said audiences could expect to see familiar characters but a couple years on from any of the films and series. “Wednesday is now 18 and exploring relationships, Pugsley is trying find his place in the world as an everexhausting
new teenager, and Gomez and Morticia's relationship is as strong steadfast as ever... or is it?” “The show is incredibly comedic. It's definitely a macabre-leaning dark comedy with family-first and 'love conquers all' as it's central themes.” “There're plenty of highquality dancing utilising the professional choreography of Kaitlyn Spalding and incredible singing and rich harmonies due to the guidance of Musical/ Vocal director Cherie Treloar.” We have a main cast of heavily experienced actors and performers from the Fraser Coast region, and a few up and comers with extraordinary potential. Tickets can be purchased at the Brolga box office or visit brogla.ourfrasercoast.com.au.
