Our range of Signature triple glazed units are constructed using hand-cut bevels and beautifully textured glass pieces, which are assembled using traditional stained glass methods into zinc or brass cames.

The decorative glass is then encapsulated between two pieces of tempered safety glass to give excellent thermal and sound insulation with the added benefit of an easy to clean, smooth surface.

Beaumont

A new addition to our range for 2019, the Beaumont, is a very traditionally designed glass reminiscent of designs used in the Victorian period. Using a combination of vibrant coloured glasses against a background of softly rippled glass, finished off with blackened cames, this design is ideal for doors in period properties.

This stunning contemporary design incorporates clear, textured and subtle grey glass in a striking design, where light beautifully refracts and reflects off the bevelled edges. The glass choices provide high levels of privacy whilst still allowing light to flood into your home. The design is manufactured using high gloss, black chrome cameing.

A decorative glass first! Combining hand-made fused glass tiles within a traditional manufactured zinc art unit, Modena combines heritage and modernity beautifully. Letters & Numbers

We now offer a custom house number and/or name as a combination of clear and etched glass. This service is available on a range of standard glass sizes and for custom sized sidelights, doorlites or toplites.

As all custom numbers and names vary in length, font sizes will change dependant on the number of characters used. Customers should be aware that a general rule of thumb is that every 1” (25mm) of letter height provides 10ft (3metres) of readability with best impact.

Where possible we recommend numbers and lettering (except street names on sidelights) with a minimum of 150mm in height which will make them easily readable from 60ft (18metres) distance.

To calculate the size of the lettering we use the following ratio as standard:

Width of the glass (mm), minus 100mm, divided by the number of characters including spaces.

As all numbers/letters are custom manufactured returns cannot be accepted so please check with your supplier or our sales office before ordering if you have any questions.

Our range of Crystal Art designs are manufactured using a highly advanced, multi-patented technology, that allows us to create incredibly detailed bevelled effect designs that would be impossible with traditional glass decoration techniques.

The advanced resin system we use to create these stunning range of designs, provide functionality as well as decoration, with sound insulation and breakthrough resistance properties that are unsurpassed.

The French range ‘oozes’ class with its elegant shape, beautiful curves and light refractive qualities and is rightfully one of our most popular options. The Half Glazed Arch design also comes with the option of a coloured border which makes a dramatic statement in any home.

A classic vintage. The Elderton, having been part of our range for the past decade, has stood the test of time. With an elegant bevelled cluster at its centre enhanced by multiple glass textures, the Elderton will create prisms of light that will make your entranceway sparkle and glisten.

Named after the designer’s favourite guitar, the Gibson exudes quality and style. With the complex yet delicate bevelled detail contrasting against the textured background, the Gibson range creates a stunning combination that will glisten as light reflects and refracts through it.

Sophisticated, contemporary design incorporating various glass textures with clear ‘came’ lines. Havana is a twist on lineal Art Deco period style, that is appealing and provides insulated units with excellent acoustic values.

With its soft satin finish, Difuso at first looks clear, but it actually diffuses the light beautifully, creating a very obscure glass when viewed from just a short distance from the door. Unlike standard Satin, it does not have a ‘white’ finish.

Modern composite doors are a combination of great looks and high performance, with strength, low maintenance and, probably most important of all, superb energy efficiency.

The energy performance of the door is achieved by a combination of the latest technologies, which includes the glazing elements. With Energy+, we offer a range of decorative glass that will achieve some of the lowest U-values in the industry and will significantly enhance the overall thermal performance of the doorset. This is achieved by the use of Pilkington K, low emmesivity glass and filling the airspace with Argon to reduce the heat loss through the glazed area.

All our units come with warm edge spacer as standard to reduce heat loss at the edges of the glass.

We offer Energy+ as an option on the whole range of glass and provide it as standard on our Signature ranges

Since 1st October 2015, Approved Document Q in England has set security requirements for new dwellings in England. The equivilant standard in Scotland is Building Standard 4.13. The approved document sets out reasonable standards for doors and windows to resist physical attack by a casual or opportunist burglar.

A door that has been tested to meet the security requirements of PAS 24 is required to meet ADQ. This standard requires the use of glass which achieves a minimum of class P1A when tested to EN356.

Toughened glass does not achieve this standard nor does the commonly used 6.4mm laminated glass.

Our Security Plus optional glass which features two panes of 3mm float glass and a 0.76mm pvb interlayer, achieves BS EN 356 Class P2A – one class higher than P1A.

In this catalogue, the glass options are all designed for a 44 thick door slab. However, with the introduction to the UK market of thicker doors up to 70mm thick, there is an increasing demand for thicker insulated glass units. We offer our ‘As You Want It’ service on a large proportion of the range and you can specify:

> Standard or Low E ‘Energy Plus’ Glass

> Toughened or Laminated ‘Security Plus’ Glass

Custom Sidelights

A N D T O P L I G H T S

We are pleased to be able offer an unrivalled service for manufacturing custom sidelites and toplites to match many of our most popular decorative glass designs. All our sidelites are manufactured using 4mm toughened glass as standard but can be upgraded to Security+ with the use of 6.8mm laminated glass.

Signature Ranges

These are manufactured at our manufacturing plant using exactly the same glass textures and bevelled shapes that are used in the main glass design - no copy compromises. Lead time for Signature custom designs is 6 weeks from design approval.

Etch Art and Fusion Designs

With our own manufacturing facility in the UK we can create custom glass sizes for all our Etch and Fusion Art ranges. We would recommend that main door glass and sidelites are ordered at the same time to ensure consistency of colour/texture in sandblast or glass colour.

Crystal Art

Due to the manufacturing process involved in creating our Crystal Art range it is not possible to have custom sidelites or toplites.

The design and ordering process:

1. Send us your sizes and design choice

2. Our sales office will calculate the price based on size and complexity and give current lead times.

3. If main door has already been installed we will require certain datum point information to ensure an accurate line through from main door glass. If the main door has not yet been manufactured we can calculate this for you but will require information from your door prepper/manufacturer about sizing and trim of the sash.

4. Our design team will then send a design proposal for approval and sign off

5. Once the unit is manufactured we can deliver to any UK address, whether it be the door manufacturer or the installation site.

Guarantees, Warranties and Technical Performance

Insulated Glass Quality

All our units are manufactured to the rigorous demands of EN1279, the European Standard for Insulated Glass, and gas filled units have also passed the 1279pt 3 testing for gas retention. We are also accredited to ASTM 2190 under the Insulated Glass Certification scheme for North America. All our insulated glass units are manufactured using warm edge spacer technology to reduce thermal transfer at the perimeter of the units and come with a 10 year warranty.

Safety Glass Standards

Toughened glass is tested and certified to EN12150 and laminated glass to EN14449 standards. We only supply laminated glass units with 0.78mm interlayer which means it is P2A compliant and suitable for use in Secured by Design doorsets.

Signature Art Range

Our range of Signature Art products are manufactured by traditional methods with individually hand cut glass surrounded by Brass or lead came and the decorative leaf is then encapsulated between 2 layers of safety glass (either tempered/toughened glass or 6.4mm laminated glass). The glass has been tested to EN12150 and EN14449 as applicable and the overall sealed unit to the EN1279 standard. As these items are manufactured using traditional art glass small seeds or blemishes in the glass are not deemed to be a fault and actually add to the products traditional look. The products are manufactured to exacting standards to reduce the amount of rattle that can occur when a door is slammed. All products are designed to ensure they pass our 50,000 slam test without breaking.

Etch and Fusion Art Range

The Etch and Fusion Art range is manufactured either at our own facility or via a network of approved UK insulated glass manufacturers. These double glazed units are manufactured to EN1279 and the glass conforms to EN12150 or EN14449 for impact safety. Our Fusion Art designs are a combination of etched effect glass and hand made fused glass elements that are bonded using high performance UV adhesives. The decorative leaf is normally the outer pane of an insulated glass unit. In the manufacture of fused glass small bubbles do occur and are part of the beauty of the product, therefore small imperfections are not deemed as faults.

Crystal Art Range

The range of Crystal Art units are manufactured using technology unique to us and are guaranteed not to crack, yellow or delaminate for a period of 10 years. The manufacturing methods for Crystal Art use liquid resin systems so occasional small air bubbles are inevitable and add to the appeal of the product. Our products have been independently tested in accelerated UV testing chambers with no noticeable change to the product after 10,000 hours.

Overlay Art Range

The Overlay Art range is manufactured either at our own facility or via a network of approved UK insulated glass manufacturers. These double glazed units are manufactured to EN1279 and the glass conforms to EN12150 or EN14449 for impact safety. All the materials used in the manufacture of the Overlay Art ranges are manufactured by RegaLead. The decorative design is on the outer pane of the insulated glass unit and we therefore recommend that Antique or Brass coloured electroplated leads are used as they are more weather resistant. These lead finishes should only be cleaned with warm soapy water and the use of strong solvent based cleaners is not recommended. The coloured films used in the designs are manufactured using high quality polyesters and UV stable inks and are guaranteed not to fade more that 10% from their original colour over the 10 year warranty period.

Resin Art Range

The Resin Art range is manufactured either at our own facility or by a network of approved UK insulated glass manufacturers. The outline resins are applied using computer controller machinery manufactured by our own CadRam division to ensure an accurate plot of the design. The colours are applied later by hand and small imperfections can occur in the paint which should not be deemed as a fault. The technology used is manufactured and supplied by CadRam and the materials have been extensively tested for weathering performance and durability on the outer pane of an insulated glass unit. The colours are guaranteed not to fade more that 10% from their original colour over the 10 year warranty period.

Door Blinds and Shades

The range of Door Blinds are constructed as 26mm units and can only be used with the glazing cassette supplied. The blind and shade systems are magnetically controlled and fitted inside the cavity of a certified toughened glass insulated glass unit. The products are guaranteed against discolouration and mechanical failure for 10 years for the blinds and 5 years for the shades. The products are rigorously tested and in the laboratory are operated through 10,000 cycles to ensure years of reliable operation.
