Hermann Sons Life App launches on May 1! The Hermann Sons Life Mobile App will launch May 1. The Mobile App will allow our members all across Texas to keep up to date with the latest information from the Home Office, Camp and the Dance program. The Mobile App will be available from Google Play and the Apple App Store. There are three distinct sections – referred to as locations – the Home Office, Camp and Dance. Members will need the registration code HSLH20 in order to create their Home Office account. The registration code for Camp and Dance will be emailed to parents of campers and dancers. Turn to Page 9 for a tutorial on how to download the Mobile App. The Home Office section will include the latest news of interest to members, a
comprehensive calendar of events, a complete list of contacts for the staff and agents, lots of photos from events and community service initiatives and much more. Parents will be able to see lots and lots of photos while their campers are actually at Camp and can send them one-way emails. The Mobile App also will allow the Camp staff to communicate quickly with parents about the latest news from Comfort. Dance parents will be able to keep up-to-date on class schedules, information from teachers and recitals. Get ready to download the first ever Hermann Sons Life Mobile App and stay in touch about everything that is happening with your Hermann Sons Life family.
Pandemic continues to impact Hermann Sons Life SAN ANTONIO – The COVID-19 pandemic continues to change the way of life for Hermann Sons Life members and lodges. Lodges did not meet in April because of the guidelines banning gatherings of 10 or more people. While some lodges have taken a wait and see approach to the May meetings, some have already cancelled their scheduled gatherings. Now more than ever we need to be reaching out in our communities and putting into action our “We Strengthen Community” way of life. While lodges can’t meet to approve donations and other forms of giving, individual members can and are doing their best to make a difference.
For example, at least one member, Cherry Lee from Siemering Lodge, has been making masks and donating them to those in need. One lodge, Louise Schuetze Lodge, has made a donation to the San Antonio Food Bank. Let us know what you have been doing so we can share it with other members.
HOME OFFICE The Home Office remains open during normal business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday). However, the office is closed to the public except for deliveries and by appointment. The staff is working on a rotating schedule. Every department is staffed every day of the week but not all employees will be working at the Home Office every day. Some employees will be working from home. The staff can be reached by phone at 210-226-9261 or 800-234-4124.
