All the components for the building you choose are delivered to your address and include everything you need for installation, down to the glue for the roof and all screws and fixings.

Bespoke Garden Rooms

We are specialists in bespoke garden buildings. If you have a design that requires curved walls, a glass ceiling or an apex roof we can accommodate your design. If you need multiple rooms for different uses or kitchens and/or bathrooms fitting we can do that too. Just get in touch .

Construction Materials

Keep your Garden Studio warm or cool all year round

Steel Frame Floor

With a steel frame construction, the floors of our Garden Studios are engineered to sit clear of the ground, allowing air to circulate and removing any risk of rising damp. The sub-floor structures are fire-resistant, strong, and vermin-proof, providing a safe and secure foundation for your garden room. The steel framed floor offers added durability, weather resistance, and adjustable feet for leveling, along with excellent insulation properties and a chipboard flooring. This makes it a superior base to a timber-based floor, with less warp and smoother operation of doors

Walls

Heritage Garden Studios engineer the walls from premium materials for a superior finish. Our highly efficient thermal insulation prevents extremes of temperature.

Our Garden Room walls are made up from 7 layers including rigid celotex insulation, vapour barriers and breather membrame.

Celotex boards are a top choice for insulation due to their superior thermal, acoustic, and fire performance, as well as their high reflectivity of over 90% of radiant energy, outperforming traditional insulation This creates a sturdy and durable structure that is protected against moisture and the elements. construction method results in a high-quality garden room wall suitable for year-round use.

Internal Wall Finish

We finish internal walls to a bare OSB finish. Some customers like this natural finish, however we can also plaster or install wall boards give a luxury and homely feel. Skirting boards are provided in wood effect or white finish.

Enhance the functionality of your garden room with our overhang and canopy options. The overhang can be placed on the front and/or left and right sides of your building, and we offer two different size options to accommodate your needs.

In addition, you can also add a canopy to either the left or right side of your garden room. This feature can include an open or closed wall, depending on your preference. All of our canopies come with decking to provide a sturdy and reliable foundation. All our doors allow you to open your studio to the outdoors, bringing you a bright, open, and spacious studio atmosphere. Our range of doors has been specially developed to supply a choice of entrance and a light solution for our Garden Studio range

Whether you want to open space using our multi-panelled bi-folding doors, a sliding door, the New Wave doors, or our stylish patio doors we have the perfect solution for you.

And, with high-security glazing, secure locking mechanisms, and an unrivalled colour range to choose from, each door can be tailored to meet your own precise requirements.

Because all our doors are designed to supply both strength and durability, this ensures a structurally sound solution that requires minimal maintenance and delivers outstanding performance over a lifetime of use.

In addition, all our doors carry a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty for peace of mind.

Garden Studio Windows

Every Garden studio comes with one or more A rated double glazed windows, the same specification that is used for houses. It is easy to change window shape, style and function in our configurator allowing you to see which Garden Studio window suits your building style and your budget.

Window Material

Window styles are available in both uPVC and Aluminium. uPVC is the cheaper choice, where Aluminium windows offer a much more stylish and slimmer profile but are also more expensive.

Crittall windows are now very much ontrend and for that reason, we have also included these as part of your Garden Studio configuration.

Customise to suit your needs

All the window types are available with either a top opening pane, full opening pane or do not open. They also come in a choice of colours and with a choice of handles.

Interior Design

Every Garden Studio is finished to the highest standard.

Our Garden Studio interiors are ready to move into and come with ceiling down-lights, double flush fit electric sockets, a 1.5kw heater, insulated walls and ceiling, and a choice of insulated floor finishes.

However, the service does not stop there, we also offer many added extras such as underfloor heating, partition walls, communications units, Indoor bars, home office, gym units, and even the kitchen sink!

Garden Studio Interior Packs

To make life easy we have several packs available for a home bar, gym, or office. Because every studio is different the price of

these is dependent on the Garden studio that you select.

Therefore, whether it’s an interior for a home bar, a gymnasium, an outdoor kitchen, or something entirely different, we can design and build a bespoke garden studio interior suited to your needs.

Each of our studios is supplied with internal lights as well as External Up / Down-lighters on either side of the main doors.

Get Connected

The final touches to create your own home from home.

Internet & Telephone Connection

We can install a direct internet connection between your home router and Garden Studio via an armoured Cat6 cable. This is hard wired to an Ethernet socket, which will allow you to use a VoIP phone*. Alternatively, you can opt for a home plug solution, which creates a network using the electrical connection between your home and Garden Studio.

External Electrical Connection

During the first survey, we will assess your property for the availability of existing power, the power demands needed for your Garden Studio and the distance of your Garden Studio to your home power source. We will then supply a quote for an electrician to carry out this work. You can supply your own electrician.

Plumbing

If you would like a washroom, kitchenette or any other facility that needs a plumbed water and waste connection, we would be delighted to help.

We will liaise with your plumber of choice to ensure they are comfortable carrying out all plumbing work needed to and from the building.

Getting Started

7 Simple steps to your perfect Garden Studio.

1. Arrange a FREE design consultation: One of our trained design consultants will visit your site or carry out a design consultation with you. They will assess the suitability of your plot, measure up and provide you with a full and comprehensive quotation and garden building design.

2. Get online and use the 3D configurator on our websites: Choose your desired style, size, exterior, interior and electrical options and send it to us for a free, no obligation quotation. Visit our website to get started.

3. Book an installation date:

You can place a refundable £500 deposit* to guarantee your installation date. You can then decide on your building style and choices safe in the knowledge that your installation date is assured.

* Refundable up to 6 weeks prior to your chosen installation date

5. Delivery:

Your Garden Studio will be delivered to you by one of our trucks and installed by our highly trained and efficient team. What’s more, delivery is FREE if you live within 30 miles of our factory in Doncaster.

4. Finalise your design: 6 weeks prior to your installation date your building will go into production. At this point we will confirm with you any final details as well as provide you with an electrical plan to confirm the placement of lights, switches, sockets and the consumer unit.

6. Installation: Installation of your Garden Studio takes between 5-15 days depending on the style, size and options on your building.

7. Move in and enjoy:

Your Garden Studio comes complete with a roof guarantee of 20 years and a 10 year structural guarantee, giving you peace of mind and plenty of time to enjoy your new space, hassle free.

Do I need planning permission for a Garden Studio?

Planning permission is not normally needed as our buildings fall under permitted development (built under 2.5m high externally). Most houses, even in conservation areas and areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), have permitted development rights. Listed buildings have no permitted development rights, so will always need planning permission.

My property has a restrictive covenant am I still able to have a Garden Studio?

Restrictive covenants set conditions in your property’s contract or deeds to restrict certain actions, normally to preserve the aesthetics of an area. These can be for a limited time and can apply to both new and old homes. Contact our team today to find out more about your circumstance if you have a restrictive covenant.

What is the maximum height we can have?

To comply with regulations all our buildings are built as standard at 2.5 metres externally. The front of our buildings is always the highest point, allowing water to run from front to the rear guttering.

Are Garden Studios warm enough to use in winter?

Yes, they are warm enough to use throughout the year as they are all well insulated and come with a heater as standard.

How quickly can you build my Garden Studio?

Do you offer finance?

We don’t currently offer finance payments but are happy to split your payment into 3 instalments with the final payment being made on completion of your Garden Studio.

How much space do I need for a Garden Studio

The only limitation is that the Garden Studio must not take up more than 50% of your overall Garden Space.

Do I need planning if I live in a conservation area?

Don’t worry though, as planning is a relatively simple process for our Garden Studios and we can help with this process.

How close to my house or boundary can a Garden Studio go?

We can build as close as 400mm to any solid obstacle, such as your house however our Garden Studio structures do need to remain freestanding due to the nature of their construction so cannot be attached as a lean to.

If you live in a conservation area you must build behind the rear of your house for the Garden Studio to fall under permitted development. If your Garden Studio falls within permitted development rights then you should not require planning permission.

What if my area has an article 4 directive?

If you live in an area that has an article 4 directive, your local planning authority has removed permitted development rights for your

From order to completion the process takes 6-8 weeks on average.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver across mainland UK. Delivery is FREE within 30 miles of our factory in Yorkshire. If you are outside of the 30-mile distance, then we will be able to quote for delivery.

Do you have a showsite?

We don’t currently, but you can visit some of our installations at customers’ homes.

Can I add a skylight to my Garden Studio?

Yes, with our steel framed timber clad buildings we can add skylights.

Can I have dividing rooms?

Yes, we can build dividing rooms in our larger buildings.

Do your Garden Studios come with a guarantee?

All our Garden Studios have a 50-year structural guarantee.

How long does it take to build a Garden Studio?

The base will normally take between half-a-day to 1 day to install. The building itself will usually be constructed the following week where we allocate between 5 and 15 days depending on the size.

What groundworks are needed before our Garden Studio installation?

We would ask you to clear the ground and if possible, level to within 200mm prior to the installation of the base

How many sets of keys will I receive?

All our Heritage Garden Studios come with 2 sets of Keys.

Can I have a custom design?

Yes, we can custom design your Garden Studio to meet your specific needs

What is the smallest building you make?

The smallest building that we offer is 2m x 2m Cusworth Garden Studio

Can I have underfloor heating?

Yes, underfloor heating can be installed as an optional extra.

Can I live in a Heritage Garden Studio?

No, our Garden Studios are not designed to be lived in as they do not comply to building regulations.

Do you offer electrical connection from my house to my Garden Studio?

Yes, we offer this for an additional cost. However, you are more than welcome to use your own preferred electrician.

What is the life span of a Heritage Garden Studio?

Our garden studios are designed to last for over 30 years and come with a 50-year structural guarantee.

Payment Process

Easy as 1,2,3.

1. £500 Holding Deposit Due:

To secure your installation date, simply place a £200 holding deposit. Your date is fully changeable and the deposit refundable until 6 weeks before your install date

2. 50% Building Deposit Due: 6 weeks before your installation date, your building will go into production. At this point we will require a 50% payment.

3. Remaining Balance Due:

After installation, we will inspect your building with you to ensure you are happy. We will then ask for the final payment.
