DEL TORO GANA SU TERCER OSCAR CON PINOCCHIO

LOS ÁNGELES. La película “Pinocchio”, del mexicano Guillermo del Toro, consiguió ayer el óscar al mejor largometraje de animación en la 95 edición de los Premios de la Academia de Hollywood.

“La animación es cine, la animación no es un cadete y la animación está lista para dar el siguiente paso, ya estamos para ello. Ayúdenos a mantener la animación en la conversación”, apuntó el cineasta tras recibir el premio de manos de los actores Dwayne Johnson y Emily Blunt.

El mexicano agradeció a Netflix, plataforma de la cinta, y dedicó el premio a su esposa, sus hijos y sus difuntos padres.

“Pinocchio” es uno de los proyectos más personales del mexicano y hacerla le tomó la mitad de su carrera como cineasta por el esmero artesanal que le tomó hacer un filme de animación foto a foto (“stop-motion”).

En una gala llena de emociones, la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Estados Unidos entregó este domingo los Oscar a lo más destacado del cine en el último año:
