Henry Schein supports local communities via The Hygiene bank
In July , we launched our partnership with the Hygiene Bank - a nationwide organisation that provides people In need with hygiene products across the UK - to help tackle hygiene poverty.
An incredible 723.34kg of personal and household hygiene products was donated as a result of the generosity of our colleagues across the UK.
The donated products were stockpiled at our Gillingham head Office before members of the Corporate Social Responsilbity (CSR) Committee volunteered to work through the donations and create packages tailored for different members of the community.
The first drop-off was made to The Nigerian Community Association (Kent and Medway). The donated hygiene products, which totalled 168.43kg, are set to be given to refugees, domestic abuse victims and local families who need immediate support. Products were put together in small bags along with larger packages for household hygiene items.
Following this, the team went to Warren Wood Primary Academy in Rochester to make a further 122.31kg donation of hygiene products to support deproved families in the area.immediate support.
Outside of these two immediate donations, the remaining 432.6kg of hygiene products have been taken to The Hygiene Bank Medway warehouse to support communities in the near future.
