The 5-ft. tall fiberglass statue arrived in 2016 as part of the Indiana Bicentennial Celebration. It had been removed last summer for fear of rioters during the Black Lives Matter protests. When it appeared that BLM or ANTIFA were no longer a threat, the bison was brought back. Now, we are left to wonder if this incident was nefarious, malicious or due to a freak weather incident. We may not have an answer yet, but suspect that Nature tipped the beast.
