JOYCE EILEEN (Quade) ALLING, 91, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at Traditions at Reagan Park in Avon.

She grew up in Seymour, Indiana, where she was born March 6, 1929 to Charles H. and Imogene Glasson Quade. She was a member of St. Paul Congregational Church, and graduated from Shields High School. She went on to Hanover College and studied English literature.

On December 29, 1950, in Seymour, she married Emery E. Alling. They lived throughout the United States and in Puerto Rico as a homemaker and a career US Army dental officer. In 2003, he preceded her in death.

Survivors include children Janis Alling (late John) Adams, Jane Alling (Jim) Spencer, and Kenneth (Nancy Horn) Alling; grandchildren Kristina Alling (JP) Humphrey, Angie Spencer, Hannah (fiancé Jacob Hemrick) Alling, and Eric Alling; and great-grandchild Claire Humphrey. Also, niece Betsy (Daniel) Fleetwood and nephew John (Kay Wilson) Fox, children of Mrs. Alling’s late sister Marjorie Quade (James) Fox.

Services will be conducted graveside at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Arrangements: Conkle Funeral Homes. ________________________

CHESTER L. DILLON, 79, Indianapolis, passed away February 8, 2021. He was a US Air Force veteran (1960-64) and was an over-the-road commercial truck driver for many years. He worked at Dart and at Bowman and he had also been a machinist for Schweitzer Co. Chet enjoyed fishing with his many Air Force friends in various locations over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Chester A. and Anice Dillon; sisters Darlene Easterday and Connie Greve.

Survivors include his sister Priscilla Dillon; daughter Mary Janetta; nephews Tracy Easterday and Kevin Greve; niece Tasha Hubbard; four grandchildren.

HANNAH MAE KING, age 24, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday February 9, 2021 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born December 29, 1996 in Indianapolis to Doug and Melissa Sue (York) King. She was a waitress at Texas Roadhouse. She was a 2015 graduate of Brownsburg High School.

Hannah is survived by her father, Doug (Paula) King of Indianapolis, her son Niko Reed Piper and his father Worthy Piper of Avon, two brothers James Martin of Dixon, Tenn. and Charles King of Nashville, Tenn., two sisters Kaitlyn Martin of Dixon, Tenn., and Embry Quintana of Indianapolis; her Aunt Beth and Uncle Jeff who helped raise her when her mom passed away.

She was preceded in death by her mother Melissa Sue (York) King, and her grandparents.

JEARLD OSCAR WARD, 86, of Avon, passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Avon Health & Rehabilitation.

He was born on Thursday, January 3, 1935 in Indianapolis, to the late William Alfred and Stella Francis (Fryman) Ward, Sr.

Oscar was a 1954 graduate of Eminence High School. He was a farmer and a school bus driver for the Eminence Community School. Oscar also worked for the Hendricks County REMC, started out as a lineman and retired after 32 years as a warehouse manager. He was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church. Oscar enjoyed camping, fishing and telling stories around the campfire. Oscar enjoyed playing euchre, dice, checkers, and playing Duck Duck Goose with grandkids in the snow. He also loved to ring the bells outside each of the grandkid’s windows on Christmas Eve. Oscar loved to wiggle his ears and was known to his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Big Ears!”

Oscar is survived by his wife of 66 years, Tantra Lea “Tanny” (Wills) Ward; daughters, Debby Warmoth (Gary), and Karen Emberton (Don), both of Monrovia, Jenny Rosenbalm (Terry) of Danville; brothers, Carl Ward of Danville and Raymond Ward of Brazil; sisters, Marian Baldwin of Greencastle, Kay Seipp of Florida, Carolyn Broadstreet of Fillmore and Opal Chambers of Martinsville; grandchildren, Lori Fultz, Lindsey Peck, Laci Hamblen, Stella Pickett, Andy Emberton, Tiffany Strouth, Tricia Hopkins, Traci Cash and Ty Rosenbalm; 18 great grandchildren.

Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Jeffery Lowell Ward; siblings, Ralph Paul “Bus” Ward, Edgar Ward, Bill Ward, John Ward, Gearld Ward, Dearld Ward, Jim Ward, Helen Ward, Louise Parks, Marie Ward and Barbara Wiltermood.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, at Hazelwood Christian Church, 9947 South County Road 0, Clayton, with Rev. Steve Ranson officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, Indiana. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks will be required and social distancing will be practiced. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association. ___________________________________________________

TAMARA JEAN “TAMMY” (King) RICHARDSON passed away on February 14, 2021, following a courageous 4-year journey with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 7, 1964 to Wanda (King) Backus and Wayne King in Indianapolis. She graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1982. She studied at Indiana Business College and worked as office manager at Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery.

She treasured her church family at Connection Pointe Christian Church. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and season ticket holder. She enjoyed travel and committed to visiting all 50 states shortly after her diagnosis, which she accomplished.

She was a pivotal member of the team that hosted the “Striking Out Breast Cancer” annual softball fundraiser in Brownsburg. She also participated in PanCAN’s “Purple Stride: Walk to End Pancreatic Cancer.”

Tammy is survived by her husband of 36 years, Timothy Richardson of Indianapolis; mother, Wanda Backus King of Indianapolis; daughter Meagan Mathis (Ryan) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Houston and Raelynn Mathis); brother Matt King (Gina) of Avon; numerous nephews and nieces.

Tammy was preceeded in death by her father, Wayne King; nephew, Bradley King and grandparents.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, February 18 at Matthews Mortuary. Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, February 19 at Connection Pointe Christian Church. Burial will follow in St. Malachy Cemetery. All locations are in Brownsburg. If attending please wear bright colors to celebrate her life in accordance with Tammy’s wishes. TERREL B. WILSON, 72, Pittsboro, passed away February 15, 2021.

He retired in 1997 from UPS after 30 years and was also a farmer for many years. Terrel was a US Army veteran, serving from 1969-71.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna M. Wilson, father William C. Wilson and a brother Bill Wilson.

Survivors include his children Karen (Mike) Lester, Terry B. Wilson Jr., Virginia (Kevin) Clark and Steven (Alisa) Wilson; mother Irma Virginia Wilson; brothers Donald (Darlene) Wilson and Kevin Wilson; sisters Gail Medcalf, Kathy Wilson and Mary (Surakij) Maneewongwathana; 11 grandchildren and 1great granddaughter; and his best friend Charlie.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 19 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 20. Burial will follow in Brownsburg Cemetery. ALBERT SPEARS, 80, of Avon, passed away February 12, 2021. He was born March 10, 1940 to Logan & Vernia (Pennington) Spears in Celina, Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Spears; and sisters Ruby Ritchie, and Wilma Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra (Sherrill) Spears, sisters Helen Rutledge and Brenda Fisher, daughter Debra Spears, and son Tom Spears (wife, Jenni), grandchildren Logan, Kyra, Cory, and Isabelle.

CATHLEEN ANNE MATTOZZI, 61, of Avon, passed away on February 11, 2021. Cathy was born to George and Anne (Earl) Cariglio in Warren, Ohio. After graduating from Newton Falls High School, she moved to California, where she had her daughter.. Moving to Avon, she started working for Maple Elementary, where she had a 20-year career, retiring in 2019. She had the nicknames of Ms. “Tozi”, and “Fountain of Knowlege.” She especially enjoyed field day and boxcar races at Maple.

In August 2014, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. She participated in Breast Cancer walks and events, made jewelry to help raise money for breast cancer research, and was a valued part of her LiveStrong group.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Cariglio.

She leaves behind her daughter Holli Anne Mattozzi, father George Cariglio, siblings Joseph Cariglio, Carol (Rich) Wolfe, James (Diette) Cariglio, and Jeffrey (Melissa) Cariglio, as well as nephews and nieces, Ryan, Jessi, Jenna, Kate, Matt, and Nick.

A cremation memorial gathering will be held at Steven’s Mortuary in Indianapolis on Saturday, February 20, from 11a.m.-1p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in memory of Cathy. ________________________

TERRI ELLEN (Pope) SELLERS, 71, of Avon, passed away February 13, 2021. She was born in Shelbyville, Ind., February 21, 1947. Terri was the daughter of Elizabeth Blanche (Harding) Pope and Frederick Pope Jr. and graduated from Shelbyville High School class of 1967. She then attended Indiana State University and retired from UPS after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by parents and husband, Steven Sellers and brother, Tim Pope.

Surviving are son, Joshua (Michelle) Brandman; grandson, Justin (Sage) Brandman; sisters, Tina (Mike) Miller and Trudy (Jeff) Frost; numerous nieces and nephews; and her little dog, Pepe.

Terri was an avid reader and gardener. She enjoyed traveling with her two sisters.

GWEN C. STOCKS, 77, Brownsburg, passed away February 15, 2021.

She was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. Her father, Anthony Pugliese, and mother, Violet Nolte Smith, preceded her in death.

Survivors include children Wendy (Alan) Cookerly and William (Rose) Stocks; sister Natalie (Dave) Kraft; brothers Peter (Marlene) Pugliese and Anthony (Cathy) Pugliese; grandchildren Taylre, Haileigh, Damon, Rylee, Jacob, Dan and Bobby and great grandchild River.

Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 25, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg. Additional services and burial will be in East McKeesport, PA, at a later date. Arrangements: Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. ________________________

ROSEMARY (Gazvoda) MEDJESKI, of Brownsburg, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 91 years old.

Rosemary was born on June 3, 1929 in Danville, Ill., to Frank and Anna Gazvoda. She grew up in Indianapolis where she spent her childhood with her family and friends.

Rosemary met and married the love of her life John Medjeski on May 29, 1954. Rosemary worked outside the home the first year of her marriage, then stayed home to raise her six kids, first in Indianapolis and later in Brownsburg.

She was known for her Eastern European bread, Potica, which her family looked forward to during holidays. Rosemary spent lots of time with playing withher grandkids.

Rosemary was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by parents Frank and Anna Gazvoda, husband John Medjeski Sr., and son, Steven Medjeski.

Rosemary is survived by children, Michael Medjeski (Lynne), Paula Medjeski, Suzanne Page (Michael), John Medjeski (Lori), Terri Medjeski, and Cindy Johnson (Scott); 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews; and other beloved friends and relatives.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Malachy 9833 E County Road 750 N Brownsburg. Interment to follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery Indianapolis. Arrangements: Stevens Mortuary. ________________________

NICHOLAS WAYNE “NICK” EDWARDS, age 41 of Williamsport, Ind. passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 1:09 p.m. due to complications from COVID-19.

Nick was born on June 23, 1979 in Oxford, Ohio. He was the son of Mary Edwards. Nick was raised in Oxford, and had lived in Danville, Ind. He was a graduate of Talawanda High School in Oxford, and later the University of Northwestern Ohio. He moved to Williamsport, in 2016 and has resided there since. Nick married Kendra L. (Verhey) Ford on October 30, 2020 in Pine Village, Ind. and she survives.

Nick had worked as a wind technician at EDF in Benton County since 2016. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. Nick was a Cincinnati Reds fan and Michigan Wolverines fan. He loved his dogs Luke and Lily and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife, Kendra, are sons, Austin Edwards and Shaun Edwards of Danville, Ind., and Colin Ford of Williamsport, Ind.; daughter, Rileigh of Williamsport, Ind.; mother, Mary Edwards (companion: Jim Hughes) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; sister, Michelle Edwards Fox of Germantown, Ohio; aunt and uncle, Darrell and Lisa Edwards of Danville, Ind.; mother-in-law, Gayla Verhey of Attica, Ind.; sister-in-law, Ashley (Darin) Rinehart of Oxford, Ind.; nephew, Taylor (Carrigan) Fox; nieces, Mary Lou Fox, Shelby Fox, and Jossalyn Rinehart

Nick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry R. Edwards and father-in-law, Gary Verhey.

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, February 20, from 11 a.m. until funeral service time at 1 p.m. with sister-in-law Ashley Rinehart officiating. LEROY C. GEORGE, 92, Brownsburg, passed away

February 14, 2021. He had been a turbine technician for General Electric, retiring in 1993. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1952-54. Leroy was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, Brownsburg American Legion, and loved bingo, fishing and all sports. He was the biggest fan of the Brownsburg High School girls’ varsity soccer team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mae George, and daughter-in-law ,Trisha George.

He was survived by his wife Mildred George; children Pamela George, Bruce George, Brian (Suzanne) George and Paula (Jeff) Novak; sisters Rosemary Wilson and Ellen Younger; grandchildren Amber, Brittani, Joshua, Bradley, Brian, Cole, Avery, Seth, Jami and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Friday, February 19, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. DONALD W. DITMER, age 68 of Clayton, passed away on February 8, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.

He was born on August 29, 1952 in Indianapolis, to the late Berdie William and Roberta Krauth Fredrick. He was a 1971 graduate of Cascade High School.

He was in maintenance at the Pep Boys warehouse in Plainfield before his retirement.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Danville American Legion Post #118.

Services were Friday February 12, in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with the Rev. Jon McDugle officiating. Burial followed in Clayton Cemetery.

Survivors include his sister, Ramona Leopard; brother, John Ditmer.

DONNIE JAY POWELL, 63 of Indianapolis, passed away February 10, 2021.

He was born on July 07, 1957 in Morganfield, Kentucky, to the late Robert L. and Martha (Hopper) Powell. Donnie was an U. S. Army veteran. He worked in the transportation industry as a truck driver.

Donnie was a member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge #65 and the Rock-n-Reelers Fishing Club. He was most happy when he was riding his motorcycle.

Survivors include his sons, Dustin J. Powell, Robert E. Powell; grandson, Tyler Powell, all of Danville; stepchildren, Anthony Gray of Plainfield, Shannon Gray of Boynton Beach, Fla.; brother, Jim (Suzy) Powell of Brownsburg; sisters, Pat (Wayne) Lottes of Avon, Linda Eickleberry of Indianapolis, and his twin sister, Teresa (Bill) Wade of Clayton.

His parents, brother, Bruce Powell and brother-in-law, Steve Eickleberry, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. A Masonic service will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service and concluding with Military Rites. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Powell Family Underprivileged Children’s Christmas Fund (please make checks payable to Pat Lottes). This is a charity that is near and dear to the entire Powell family.

MARCIA L. LEITZMAN, 83, of Clayton (Belleville), passed away at her home, Friday afternoon, February 5, 2021, with her family by her side. Funeral services took place Tuesday, February 9, at Hazelwood Christian Church. Burial followed in Clayton Cemetery, where she was laid to rest next to her husband of 42 years, Thane.

Marcia was born in Matteson, Illinois to the late John and Florence (Pieper) Stege. She was a graduate of Leon High School in Tallahassee, Fla.

Marcia married Thane W. Leitzman on February 5, 1960, in Georgia; he preceded her in death May 23, 2002. She was a loving mother, grandmother,and enjoyed being the homemaker for her family. Marcia was active in the ministry of the Hazelwood Christian Church, and has asked that contributions be given to the church in her memory to continue these ministries.

Survivors include her children, John Sewell “Scooter” (Kim) Leitzman of Clayton, Kristin Ellen Andrews of Plainfield; granddaughter, Bridget Elleen Andrews;

step-grandchildren, Hannah, Levi, John and Luke Hammett; brother, John Stege of Mississippi; sisters, Marilyn Mason of Newnan, Georgia,and Karen Glass of Florida.

CALVIN MARK LOWMAN, age 72, Greencastle, passed away Wednesday morning at Franciscan Health, Indianapolis.

He was born on August 31, 1948 in Kansas City, KS the son of Rexford and Lavern Gillihand Lowman. Mark was Vietnam Army Veteran. He has been very active in the local music scenes performing in their jam sessions, mainly Blue Grass and Country. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his loving companion, Dottie Perkins.

Funeral services were Tuesday, February 16, at the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville. Burial followed in the Coatesville Cemetery. ________________________

SURINDER SINGH, 64, of Avon, passed from this world on Monday February 8, 2021. He was born Tuesday May 1, 1956 to Hari Singh and Prakash Kaur in Mandhali, India.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hari Singh and Prakash Kaur in Mandhali.

He is survived by wife Kamaljit Kaur, son Karnbir Badesha, daughter Rajveer Kaur, brothers Kashmir Singh, Prem Singh, Mahinder Singh, sisters Hardeep Kaur, 1 grandchild Nirvair, and extended family and friends.

LAWRENCE O. FISHER, 67, Brownsburg, passed away February 11, 2021. He was a small engine mechanic for many years, retiring from Engledow.

He served in the US Army from 1971 to 1974 and was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rusty and Imogene; sister, Deedee Hash and brother, Marty Fisher.

Larry is survived by his wife, Janet Fisher; children, Elijah (Amanda) Fisher and Teaka (Tom) Vest; sisters, Helen Schwartzel, Sue Hampton and Debbie Huston; brother, Tony Swain; grandchildren, Devon Fisher and Dylan Birchell; several nieces and nephews.

Services were Monday, February 15, at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Burial followed in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors.

JAMES TAYLOR, 81, passed away February 9, 2021. He and his twin brother, Jack, were born at home in Yorktown, Indiana on June 25, 1939.

He retired in 2001 as a Corrections Officer for the State of Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mary Taylor.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Janet Mc- Bride Taylor. His children are: Kevin (Karrie) Taylor, Chris (Kim) Taylor, Megan Mendoza, Amanda Taylor, and Austin Taylor. He had 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers: Ronald Taylor, Jack Taylor, Michael (Patti) Taylor and Robert (Anita) Taylor.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 18, at Faith Baptist Church of Avon with two hours of Visitation prior to the Service. Burial will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens.

JACK DAVID “DOC” RATHER, 71, of Plainfield, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. He was born November 12, 1949 in Indianapolis to Paul W. and Mary Olyne (West) Rather.

He graduated from Decatur Central High School in 1967. David received his Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Science in Education and Specialist in Education from Indiana University.

In 1970, David married Kathleen Auble, also a Decatur Central High School graduate. David enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve, serving six years, ending with an Honorable Discharge.

David had a long and successful career in education, starting in 1972 at George Washington High School in Indianapolis. From there he went to Decatur Central, where he remained from 1977-2010, serving as teacher, athletic trainer, assistant principal, athletic director, director of operations, and assistant superintendent. The highlight was the dedication of Decatur Central High School Gymnasium in his name.

David is survived by his wife, Kathy Rather; son, Brad (Angie) Rather; daughter, Brooke Ellis; grandchildren: Ally Blevins, Andrew Ellis, and Evan Ellis; brothers, Jim (June) Rather, and Chris (Roxanne) Rather; sister, Nancy (Rick) Sauer; in-law, Joan (Auble) and Barry Hoover, Deanna (Auble) Everhart and Suzie (Auble) Mathis; many nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother, Paul Lee Rather.

A celebration of life service took place Wednesday, February 17 at the David “Doc” Rather Gymnasium at the Decatur Central High School, Indianapolis. Doc was laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.

BEVERLY SUE KING, 74, of Avon, passed away February 10, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

She was born on March 24, 1946 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, to the late James Raymond Musters and Ruby (Ma- Haney) Sheets. She married James Buddy King on December 12, 1963.

Beverly was a graduate of Clayton High School and later worked as a secretary for Dr. Whitney’s family practice. Her most important job was being a loving wife, a great mother, a wonderful grandmother,

great-grandmother, good housewife and enjoyed writing poetry.Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Buddy; son, Johnny (Tracie) King; daughters, Kelly (Patrick) Dick, Kim Olmstead; brother, Jim (Jan) Musters; grandchildren, Brad, Jason, Joshua, Jordan, Jared, Jake, Ava, Kevin, Gary; and 4 great-grandchildren. KIMBERLY “KIM” CO- PELAND, 60, of Clayton, passed away on February 12, 2021.

She was born on August 13, 1960 in Elwood, Ind. to Phillip and Phyllis Champion. Kim was a dedicated Nanny and homemaker to her family. She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church.

Kim loved helping people and was known as Marry Poppins. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, flowers, watching Hallmark TV and HGTV in her free time.

Kim was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Champion.

Funeral Mass will be at the St. Susanna Catholic Church (1210 E. Main Street, Plainfield) Thursday, February 18, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be Friday, February 19, in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery (Route 1050 N, Elwood, Ind.) at 11 am.

GEORGE “BUD” LANDER JR., 88, of Avon, passed away on February 11, 2021.

He was born on June 28, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to the late George Sr. and Sara Lander. Bud was an United States Navy veteran and served during the Korean War. He worked for Allison Gas Turbine Division as an engineer, retiring in 1990.

Bud was a reserve deputy for the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department. He also volunteered for the Avon Fire Department.

Bud enjoyed watching sports and was a Civil War buff.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Lander; daughters, Debra Campbell and Diane Lander-Smith; son, Jeffrey (Candace) Lander; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

BETTY A. JOHNSON, age 87, of Coatesville, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, at her residence.

Born October 17, 1933 in Jasper County, Ga., she was the daughter of Cleave Mercer and Maude Steadham Mercer Tillman. She married L.J. Johnson on July 25, 1953 and he survives.

Other survivors include 2 children, Darlene Horner and husband Terry, and Dale A. Johnson; grandchild, Melissa Allen and husband Nic; great grandchildren, Ava, Parker and Knox Allen; brother Walter Tillman; sister Ammie Laura Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son James Cook, grandson, Tim Horner; and siblings Sara, Lucy, Doris, Gladys, and Weyman.

Betty was a charter member of the Grace Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had worked at P.R. Mallory and RCA. Services were Sunday, February 14, in the Grace Baptist Church, Coatesville, with Pastor Bert Bunner and Pastor Wayne Dafoe officiating. Private burial was in the Coatesville Cemetery. ________________________

RAYMOND L. WEN- ZEL, 71, Brownsburg, passed away February 12, 2021.

He had been a service advisor for Penske Honda for 18 years. He was a member of Connection Pointe Christian Church.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty Lou Wenzel.

He is survived by his wife Helen Wenzel; sons Ryan Wenzel, Jeremy (Kristina) Wenzel, and Patrick (Aileen) Wenzel; sister Sandra Kreighbaum; grandchildren Jazzmin, Jackson, Elizabeth and Elliot.

DONALD EDWARD POINDEXTER, age 81, of Avon, passed away on February 3, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

He was born on June 1, 1939 in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Archie and Lula Anderson Poindexter. He was a job setter for Allison’s for 30+ years retiring in 1992. Donald was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Avon and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his sons, Shawn Poindexter and Kevin Poindexter; daughter-in-law, Teresa Brown; sister, Connie Masters; grandchildren, Karen Worland, Kyle Poindexter, Tyler Poindexter, Bryce Poindexter and Brett Poindexter; greatgrandchildren, Nekoda Worland and AnnaBelle Worland; niece, Ashley Roy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 11, at 11 a.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery. All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment. SHELLY DIANE PRICE, age 34, of Coatesville, passed away in her residence Friday, February 12, 2021.

Born November 12, 1986 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Jerry W. Price and Vinny (Gambold) Price. Shelly was a hair stylist. She graduated from Christina and Company Beauty School. She had worked at Christina and Company in Lafayette; Dolce in Arizona, Cloud 9 in Carmel, and owned Topaz Arrow in Carmel.

Survivors include her mother, Vinny Price; 2 sisters, Vera Greeley and husband Allen, Ariz., and Carrie Kunkel and husband Ryan; Zionsville; a brother Casey Price and wife Sarah, Coatesville; and a grandmother, Beulah Gambold, Coatesville. Her father preceded her.. Services were Monday, February 15, in the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville, with cremation following. ________________________
