Helston woman shaves head for charity A BRAVE woman is to shave off her hair for charity in memory of a man who died from a degenerative disease. Anne Barlow from Helston is raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association by having her head shaved at a dog grooming parlour in Helston. She said: “I am shaving my head to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease Association in memory of my son’s fiancé’s Dad, Christopher Roberts, who sadly lost his battle with the disease in September last year.
By raising and donating as much money as we can, it is a step closer in helping to find a much needed cure for this nasty and cruel disease. Please donate as little or as much as you can because every penny really does count.” The head shave will take place at The Dog House at Church Street in Helston on September 19 at 2pm. Doors will be open from 1pm to 4pm for people who would like to donate. Donations can also be made at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Anne-Barlow.
