Sunday July 12th 2015 sees the third Party on the Pitch event held at Helston Football Club. The event is again for the Help for Heroes charity, where the public will be asked to donate money rather than being charged an entry fee. Party on the Pitch sees local music acts of differing genres playing on an outdoor stage situated on the club's football pitch. All the acts have given their time for free for which the event organisers Tony Basher, Charlie Conway and Martyn Lynes are extremely grateful. Since the first staging of the event in 2013, the event has become more and more popular and it is hoped that the local community will once again support the event and help a charity which is very close to many, especially
the Naval personnel. The organisers have sought to make improvements each year with this year being no exception - games for the children and an outside bar being just two of the improvements. "What we would like to see is the continuation of a family friendly event where people can come sit on the grass and listen to great music, have a couple of beers, some food and enjoy a very relaxed atmosphere. We again hope for dry weather and and increase in numbers from last year" The event starts at 2pm with some acoustic sets before the pace gathers with fantastic bands.
