Bumble Bee Makes Momentous, Non-Woose, Move!

Over the weekend I moved office. Not far. Just up the road to the top of Wendron Street, at the old electrical shop.

It was a hectic week having to move all of the office furniture, desks, tables, filing cabinets. Half way through the move, a woman who works in the office behind my old place, popped her head in, and asked how it was going. “I’m getting there”, I said. The only problem is that I can’t find a handy man to help me

take the big desks, the huge tables, apart, take them to the new office, and re-assemble them. I don’t know what I am going to do! This was the last of my moving problems, my moving headaches.

She looked at me as I was moaning about my predicament, glanced at the tables, and then told me, “Don’t be a woose! Do it yourself.” This stunned me. I have never be called a woose before, or not that I can remember anyway. I took this personally. I had

to prove that I was not a woose. And so I took on the challenge. I was going to do it myself. Mission Accepted.

I rushed down to Bowdens Hardware Store, bought the required tools, and started on the monumental task of taking the tables apart. It was easier than I thought.

A lot easier! I did it all on my own, even carrying the individual parts, or more accurately, dragging the parts, huffing and puffing, to the car, then into the new office, and, amazingly, re-

assembled the tables, all without incident, and all by myself. I had proved that I was not a woose! What an achievement. What a moment.

As always, feel free to pop in to my new office at 57 Wendron Street, if you want to have a nose around, or even if you have an accountancy or taxation headache. I am here, sat at the desk that I moved and assembled myself. The desk will forever more, be known as the “I am not a Woose

Desk”! Although I did chip a corner from one of the desks.
