Night of comedy for local hospice A ROTARY CLUB is hoping a comedy night will deliver a belly-full of laughs to help boost funds for a local hospice. The Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard is organising a night of side-splitting fun in aid of St Julia’s Hospice. The event will be held at the Helston Community College on January 20 from 7.30pm and will feature Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling. The funnyman is set to entertain crowds with stories on the ever-changing face of Cornwall, Cornish family life, holiday makers and more. Tickets, priced at £10, include a pasty supper and are available from Dales Butchers and Wearnes Jewellers in Helston or by calling 01326 572341.
