The career I have chosen to research is journalism. I specifically chose this career because I love writing, designing, and reading the news and learning about the news of the day. I read a lot of news, review articles, my favorite, opinion articles, and the internet is my favorite resource. I enjoy writing well enough to do it for the rest of my life. The reason I want to have this career is that I am very excited about the idea of delivering news, and writing stories for people who want to be heard. I want to find the smaller social groups, and age groups and share a story about them. The minorities need to be heard, everyone needs to be heard. I want to be their ticket to getting out of a bad situation. I want to help them to tell their story and feel like they have hope that someone that cares for them and is willing to help. I think that is the main reason I want to be a journalist.
I know that in this career you have to know how to write interesting stories and capture the reader's eyes and mind. I need to take classes that deal with specific topics that really amplify their time in those departments. I have to be able to know how to read at an appropriate level, and work on vocabulary skills. A journalist has to work on time and cannot procrastinate, I cannot afford to be shy around people and I know I need to get in people's faces and business sometimes to get a good story. The classes I have taken and completed for this career is being in yearbook class for

Writing is not a profession for me, it's more like a path to reach Zen. I'm a budding creative writer who focusses on coming up with meaningful contents which can help my readers in some way or the other. So, needless to say, I don't do crappy jobs at all.
I am an avid reader and like to see the historical side of stories to have an understanding of the vastness of wisdom, so that some day, my wisdom could be reflected through the pages of my writing.
See how dreamy my writing looks ? Don't worry , tell me who your target audience are and I can tailor the story accordingly. But at least when we talk, lets keep the dreamy side up and create something meaningful and beautiful.

My Career Plan After Graduation Essay
My Career Plan after Graduation: How to manage my Professional and Holistic Lifestyle. I decided to pursue a career in nursing because, there is plenty of scarcity in the field and I feel like I can make a difference. I plan to focus most of my care in both acute and chronic setting. I will focus my career plan on the first and fifth year time frame. I will also touch up on different method I will use to illuminate my game plan when I do finish my Bachelor in Nursing. My Transition to Professional Nursing Role Professional nursing practitioners travel a long path to become experts in their field. Admission requirements into the BSN program vary from university to university but retain basic similarities. Universities and Colleges demand that the prospective student passes in English composition, life sciences, physical sciences, Mathematics, humanities, social, and behavioral sciences. Upon my admission, to Chamberlain College of Nursing it took me about two and half years of study to complete my pre–requisites. Typically, the course comprises studies in physiology, human anatomy, nursing care, nursing pharmacology, illness management and mental health nursing as the foundation units. Support units include research methods, leadership and management (of health services), critical thinking, decision–making and professional development. Criteria for RN in Florida BSN graduates apply for registration to the Florida Board of Nursing (BON). The state BON is the regulator and Get more content
My whole life I have always wanted to do something where people will remember me. I went threw millions of career choices before I came to the conclusion of a nurse. It's not something that will get me into History books, but its something where all the people I help will remember what I did to care for them or their loved ones. My mom went to school to become and RN, but dropped out when she became pregnant with me. After that story was told to me, I didn't want to be anything related to nursing. It wasn't until my step mom went to school to be LPN that I realized it would be possible for me to do. I saw how much happiness it gave her, and I want the same thing. She loved helping the patients by treating them, and helping their families...show more content...
It is a program that is based on the health career field, especially nursing. I have this course for three classes a day and it takes up most of my school day. These classes have given me invaluable information and training that will be very useful in my collage courses. My volunteer work at the Veterans Hospital will also help me with becoming a RN because it is sort of like on–the–job training. I get to experience working with patients, in a real hospital setting. My step mom has lots of her old nursing books from her LPN training. I frequently look into them to help me with my Diversified Health Occupations homework, and sometime just to see how something works, or is done. Everyone knows that health careers tend to make a decent amount of money, but according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, "the average amount of money that an RN makes is between $47,710 and $69,850" (Registered Nurses). You typically work about fifty to sixty hours a week, on a normal shift. Meaning, 7a.m. to 3p.m., 3 p.m. to11 p.m. and 11p.m–7a.m. During your shift you will have to treat patients, educate the patient on how to care for themselves properly, provide assistance and emotional support for the patients and the families of the patients, administer medication, provide rehabilitation, use medical machinery, record symptoms and medical history, as well as do follow up follow up records. As I learned from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, RN's also perform special

The Career of Engineering
Take a look around yourself. What do you see? Maybe books, chairs, a television, or even your clothes. All the day to day things that are man–made, you can be sure that an engineer helped make it. Engineers have shaped our world as we know it. There are many different kinds of engineers from chemical, mechanical, textile, civil, agricultural and structural engineers. Our civilization would be as advanced as the Stone Age without these people. This career demands a wide education of math and science. It is an ever–changing career with new advances in materials and the way products are produced. Engineering careers are very secure with respect to compensation. Regardless of this, it does have it's disadvantages...show more content...
(Britannica 243) Another disadvantage of being an engineer is the actual status of being one. It is not looked upon as highly as other fields such as doctors and lawyers. Most of the time they are looked upon as nerds. In addition, most engineers are not promoted to high level positions such as presidents or top executives. They do not have the accounting or business education to do that particular job. This means that most engineers never get the opportunity to be their own boss. (Basta 22)
The job of an engineer itself is a creative job. The actual definition of an engineer is "The profession in which a knowledge of the mathematical and natural sciences gained by study, experience and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to utilize the materials and forces of nature economically for the benefit of mankind." (Bastas 24) In having the basic skills and experiences in math and science, an engineer is basically an inventor. They are given a problem and are depended on to come up with a solution. Whether it be a new chemical, a mechanical part, or even a whole new system such as computer operating program, engineers are the problem solvers of our materialistic society. (Basta 45)
Many engineers work in laboratories, industrial plants, or construction sites where they inspect, supervise, or solve onsite problems. (Britannica 244) Engineering itself has a sort of chain of command in the way a project is handled. It follows in the

Before I told my parents I had decided to be agraphic designer , I did a little research on the job. It was good, but required lots experiences to get in a decent game company like Riot. But I did not stick with one job. I also heard of 3D modeling, programming and animation were good choices for me and I liked them too. And it's false that those who pursue higher education and skills can get a higher economic reword. Everything is competitive now; the value of education does not count toward our future income earning. I realize that even if I graduated from the college there was higher chance I would not have a job or a job that I did not expect and paid very low. However, I do like what I do right now in my major class. I think if you did what you want and be happy with it, it doesn't matter how low you get paid you still fulfill in your life. Throughout life, people are influenced by others when it comes to career paths. For example, career paths can be directed by our backgrounds such as family and culture. The career path I chose has been influenced by family and those who support me and encourage me during school. The career path, I have chosen is to work with women survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I will discuss how self–assessments helped me gain an understanding, which careers might be worth pursuing because of my interests. I have always been encouraged by my family to volunteer to gain an understanding that experience is valuable, even if the work is unpaid. While volunteering, it allowed me to see if I could handle dealing with trauma victims in hospital settings. I chose the major of psychology because I always wanted to become a therapist and help those in difficult life situations. I knew that my family wanted me to feel rewarded and satisfied with the career I choose and to not focus mainly on salary. My family always thought it was important to get a college education and a good career. They did not attend school themselves and know the struggles of finding a job without the qualifications and education. The cultural influences that impacted my decision was that my family can understand my career path. My family looks at counselors as important people in society and as a career worth pursuing. Through out my high school career I never took my education seriously. For most of the four years it was a big blur. I'm not quite sure if it was because of me or if I found myself blaming my surroundings or teachers for my lack of focus and strive to learn. A failure can mean different things to everyone else. Maybe there's just different types or categories of failures. These failures are meant to teach us something, or motivate us to simply not make these mistakes again.
I remember going into my freshman year of high school nervous but excited because I thought I'd learn so many new things. Next thing you know I found myself dreading school. Was I being lazy? Was it my lack of motivation? I still can't grasp why exactly I lost that excitement or that yearning to go to school. I was raised to have the idea that school was a place to learn not socialize. However, based on all of the stages been discussed earlier, people in the mid–forties to mid–fifties are at a different stage in their career and life than people that is at age 25 or 45. A careerchange after age 40 can be a tricky situation. In this stage, people will decide whether to continue along the same track because it is comfortable familiar and secure or change into the other career since there is an opportunity to pursue new personal or professional goals. This stage is called as middle career years or mid–career change. According to OUM textbook, mid–career means re–appraise early career and early adulthood, reaffirm or modify goals, make choices appropriate to middle adult years and remain productive. Mid–career is a time in which one is more likely to consider leaving a current job in order to take work in an organization that might indicate promise of greater career fulfillment or address a need for increased salary or benefits, intrinsic and extrinsic (WordWeb). After 40, many people begin to look at life differently which they often begin to feel that life really is too short to be stuck in a dead–end or unsatisfying job. In this middle age situation, it is a time in which adults take on new responsibilities at the workplace and therefore, people of this age often feel a need to reappraise previous life structures with an

Upon being asked about my future, I have always been met with anxiety and fear of such unknown. Growing up, as more and more of my peers developed their specific interests and even revealed desired career choices, I only felt lost in terms of what I wished to purse. I found that I was easily overwhelmed if I allowed myself to read too deeply into the dreaded "what am I going to do with my life" question. As well as focusing on academics, I also believe that in the future I will expand my social experiences. Familiarizing myself with diversity and broadening my horizons is in my opinion important to act upon. For example, as I embark on the Study Abroad program here at Bryant during my "Sophomore Year Experience" or as I travel after college, I see myself meeting new and exciting people (whether from Spain, Europe, Australia, etc) who can educate me in how their government is run, school systems are set up and overall what it's like to live in a place that is so much different from my home. In turn, I will be able to do the same for them. Around the end of my sophomore year, I see myself narrowing down a career choice. After taking many different courses during previous years here at Bryant, I see that I finally figure out my purpose and I am confident with my specific decision. As this realization hits, I see myself getting into and working hard in graduate school in order to further my studies before entering the work force. Upon choosing a career I see myself with a comfortable income, independent, in a very positive disposition. After I am able to be financially stable and independent, I see myself meeting my future life partner and settling down. I see this person as being not only my romantic partner, but also my best friend and most reliable support system. Starting a healthy, comfortable family would Get more content

Choosing a Career: Reaching my pursuit of happiness
Finding a career is a long process for some people, but it comes naturally to others. Everyone ponders about what they want to be when you're in kindergarten, when your imagination is running wild and every possibility is an actuality. As I have matured, I realized what career I choose is something that I love and will enjoy doing for the rest of my life which for me is to be a physical therapist. My career choice didn't cross my mind until my senior year. Other kids would always talk about becoming a cop, a doctor, and silly things like a billionaire. I don't want it to feel like a job, but as a reward or gift I can give to people. I have a system that I want to follow to reach my goal. First, I have to graduate from high school. I want to get my basics done first which should take about two years at Amarillo College. I have a plan A and a plan B. My first choice is to move in with my brother. Buy a house with him, and help pay the rent while I work at the same time. My plan B is to stay with my parents and drive to Dumas or to Amarillo to take my classes. I want to work at the same time so I can have the extra money to pay for my bills. I'm paying for my school myself, but I will very likely get help from my parents and my brother. Once I finish with my basics, I will then transfer to West Texas A&M or to Oklahoma Panhandle State University. As much as I want to graduate and move far away, I know that it's not very beneficial to me financially. I want to take things slow and get my life together. The career fair was one of the most unique experiences I have had. There were hundreds of companies lined up in the ARC. Before I went to the fair, I had to take several steps to prepare myself. Before I came to campus, I packed my suit. I had just bought a new one, since my old one was too small. A couple days before the career fair, I went to the bookstore to buy a padfolio and resumepaper. These two things are necessary for everyone that goes to the career fair. I have not fully decided on a career choice, but if you ask me I would pick nursing. I would choose nursing because of the many self rewarding tasks you can achieve while being a nurse. For example helping and tending to an elderly who has no strength to complete tasks anymore because of old age. Nursing is such a great career choice, I can see myself doing well within the career and also being financially stable because of good pay. Also another detail I noticed in being a nurse is how flexible your schedule can be. I believe that this career, nursing, would be something I would enjoy and be comfortable with. I can also see it bringing me happiness in ways that I can help families who have a loved one or friends who are need of urgent care. Without nurses there would not be that certain individual to help another human being out at their toughest times. After graduating from high school there is a range of nursing careers I can try to pursue. Getting an education to achieve a bachelors in nursing is a very long process. Getting an associates degree would be the quickest way possible, but the job offerings are way less. My Future Career : My Career As An Architect
My Future career consists of becoming an Architect. Being an architect means that one is a licensed professional who works with designing a structure that is both attractive, safe, and functional. Dan Rice mentions that, "There are three forms of visual art: Painting is art to look at, sculpture is art you can walk around, and architecture is art you can walk through" architects are involved in every phase of the buildings development and construction. In order to work in the architecture field the skills required are being able to design and draw, using a methodical or logical approach, being analytical, having excellent math skills, being able to communicate and negotiate, and have IT skills. My dream job has always been to plan out a project and make it come to life. Being an Architect has its benefits including traveling the world to visually see the structure of ancient buildings and how other architects are using their creative minds to manipulate the complexity of a building. Another benefit is being able to see different types of art and gather inspiration through everything. Although becoming an architect is my passion there is a downside to the process. One of the negative effects consist of a long training period that lasts up to 8 years or longer. Within those 8 years of training includes a 5–year bachelor degree and a 3 year internship. Another con is trying to pass all 7 (ARE) Architect Registration Exam to complete the IDP, and if you don't pass you

What Makes A Successful Career Essay
The reasons why people succeed in their careers are probably as numerous as the number of successful people. When we begin to think about the qualities these people possess, it becomes apparent that we can classify or catagorize them into a few specific groups–those who really enjoy their work, those who are obsessed with their work (they either want to be the 'best'; or have a fear of failure), those who are blessed with exceptional talent in their field, and those who have planned their work and worked their plan. Perhaps as I describe them, you will identify which group applies to you.
The first group of people with successful careers I'd like to discuss is those who simply enjoy their work....show more content... There are any number of explanations for why these people are the way they are and, while I'm no psychologist, I'd like to offer my own personal observation.
Of the people I've known over the years who fall into this category two basic types exist. One is the person who has to be the 'Best';. It makes no difference what they are doing; this individual will pour every ounce of their heart and soul into being successful. The other type is essentially no different than the first one I've described. Primarily the difference lies in their motivation–this person is successful due to a fear of failure. Although, the driver is different, the means by which they achieve their goal is the same; they pour heart and soul into accomplishing success.
There are others who can attribute success in their career to nothing more than exceptional talent. They have any uncanny ability to perform at a level unmatched by any one else. The people who fall into this category most often come to mind when we think of careers in sports. This is not to say that our sports superstars have not devoted a lifetime of work toward being a successful athlete and I would never slight their personal sacrifices or the hard work they have endured.
