With the plethora of Thai food choices that are located in the greater phoenix area, Thai basil is one of the most authentic, fresh and inexpensive places to get your Thai fix in Arizona. Not only do they offer classic Thai dishes that will delight your palate, but they also offer the best service in the valley as well. Upon googling the name of the popular restaurant, I was confronted with an Article from the New Times which reflected more than a few of my same admirations of the eatery. Although Budget Beat: Thai Basil , did a nice job of highlighting the positives of the place, I find the article lacked variety in showcasing the entire dining experience. The author names a few of the other popular Thai places in the area, but is unsuccessful
Family, peer influence, nature versus nurture, religion, and formal schooling all have an impact on making individuals unique. With so many factors shaping one s identity, it is difficult to determine which play the most pivotal role in one coming into their own. Most interestingly, identity is a controlling factor in motivating one s behavior and actions. A common thread in shaping identity across all cultures is the role of spiritual tradition. Through the characters in The Last Report on Miracles at the Little No Horse, Louise Erdrich confronts individual and communal responses to that reality. Since tradition is symbolic, not material, one can not physically hold on to their tradition. In other words, an individual makes the conscious decision to allow or disallow tradition to shape their own identity. Pauline Puyat is the product of cultural conflict, which shapes her twisted, violent nature as a character, and through her Erdrich explores the winning of the west from a non western perspective. While some literary figures choose to continue along the lines of their cultural traditions, others find flaws in traditional practices and decide to rebel against tradition. Marie Kashpaw. Defying tradition is an interesting theme in literature, as well. Not all traditions should be continued, such as the succession of abuse in the PUyat amily. Father Jude knows nothing about Ojibweculture, so he misses the undertow of clan meaning when Father Damien explains that Sister
Education should enhance understanding of the world, of oneself, and of one s own experience (Kelly 2009). What is important about music education? There are many important aspects in music education like pedagogy and performance. For me, music education is about letting the students express themselves. Having the ability to give an idea or to vent is a vital tool in today s society. This concept influences music because expression is not only in how to connect a phrase, but also how to tell a story. With my time in college, Dr. Joseph Frye will always tell me to tell a story with music. He will also ask me what I want to feel after playing a piece. This is what I believe is important in music education. What is it about expression that makes it so important for music education? Firstly, expression is the main source to music because you have all these different ways to create music. Music can make a person feel great or can make a person feel down in the dumps. Music could not do this to people if it did not have a little expression in it. Secondly, expression is important to the emotional development. In an NAfME article, it states that students who were involve with music are more emotionally developed (NAfME 2014). This statement is important because with emotions most people need to express it, but it is usually harder to talk to someone about it. So why not utilize music to do it? This ties back to music education because without music education no one will know
In the commercial Fotoshop by Adobe Rosten effectively convinces his audience of the absurdity of society s obsession with physical appearance and the beauty trick to appear more attractive by purchasing Photoshop. Rosten achieves this by applying emotional appeal, satire and hyperbole. Beauty is something that is largely considered a physical attribute. Beauty has and will always be desirable. Today society believes that beauty is the way to get attention and acceptance. Movies, magazines, music and other Arts of entertainment portray beauty as the epitome of getting love, comfort, acceptance, and riches. Rosten uses emotional appeal to sway the feelings of the audience to make them buy Photoshop by adobe. People walk around with variety of unfulfilled urges and motives swirling in the bottom half of their minds. : Lusts, ambitious, tenderness, vulnerability. These problems are constantly arising and seeking resolution. Rosten portrays the audience motives and desires by giving form to the individuals inner lying desires, showing what the individual privately yearns for. Rostens goal is to tug at the audience psychological shirts sleeves and slow them down long enough for a couple of words to sell the product. In the video the models say experience a whole new you , it s you perfected . This tells the audience that this product could help you look better and boost your self esteem. Not to mention all the beautiful models that dance happily in the video to appeal to
No one wants to admit that they are at fault because there is a certain satisfaction they feel within themselves when they win an argument or when the blame is place on someone else. Most people like things to stay the way they are and they become extremely defensive when what they believe in is threatened. This also proves true when we are told what to do because our emotions are rewired to shut down whatever was told to us and keep doing what we were doing before. The personat fault may not even realize they are wrong because they are not using their emotions to help them understand their opponent s points of views, which is how the Rogerian approach is described as. Now in the logistical approach, both sides of an argument will look for the weak points in the truths that could crack under any amount of pressure. Clearly each person is defined by one of these approaches, it is just a matter of which approach fits their characteristics more. Now surely the Rogerian approach is far more effective in solving arguments or any type of battle because instead of looking for small dents in an opponent s position as the logistical approach suggests, people will be trying to understand why his/her opponent is lashing out; which will give everyone in the whole argument the ability to recognize each other s points and will be able to... Instead of looking for faults in an argument, they should be looking for the reason why they felt compelled to either say such a thing or believe in such a thing. Both approaches have their benefits and disadvantages, but the Rogerian approach proves to be the most effective because it takes account of the other parties feelings and motives behind why they believe in something a certain
Assignment 2: The Five Forces that Shape Strategy

Awareness of the five forces can help a company understand the structure of its industry and stake out a position that is more profitable and less vulnerable to attack. By understanding how the five competitive forces that shape strategy influences profitability in a particular industry, executives can develop a strategy for enhancing their company s long term profits (Porter, 2014).

Their ability to map the contours of a market, and then maximize profit given that structure, is just as important as understanding demand, production, and costs (JWI518 W5 L2). Oil and gas prices fluctuate on a minute by minute basis, taking a look at the historical price range is the first place you should look. Many factors determine the price of oil, but it really all comes down to supply and demand. Demand typically does not fluctuate too much (except in the case of recession), but supply shocks can occur for a number of reasons. When OPEC meets to determine oil supply for the coming months, the price of oil can fluctuate wildly. Day to day fluctuations should not influence investment decisions in a particular energy company, but long term trends should be followed more closely (OPEC, 2014).
Determine overall industry structure:
The energy industry is not any different than most commodity based industries as it faces long periods of boom and bust. Drilling and other service firms are highly dependent on the price and demand for petroleum. These firms are some of the first to feel the effects of increased or decreased spending. If oil prices rise, it takes time for petroleum companies to size up land, setup rigs, take out the oil, transport it and refine it before the oil company sees any profit. On the other hand, oil services and drilling

The French and Indian War or Seven years wars heavily influenced the revolution war. It was the French and Indian War that caused the taxes. The taxes caused the rebellions. The rebellions caused the war. The French and Indian War was started on tensions, just like the revolutionary war. It was all two countries not getting along. There was a lack of boundaries. A lack of stable rule. This is all similar between both wars. The taxes really caused the Revolutionary War. Without the French and Indian War the Revolutionary war may have happened never happened. One of the issues that was the same between the French and Indian War and the Revolutionary War, was tension. There was a strong tension is the French and Indian War. Back in the 1700 s, England s colonies were fairly new. Boundaries were uncertain at that time. France had their land. England had theirs. Colonists would often go to the other side of the boundaries. England would also claim Frances land. This caused great conflict. Small battles began. The war lasted between 1754 1763.But the war did not reach europe until 1756. When Lieutenant Colonel George Washington tried to drive out the french and failed, the british decided to have a full scale war. The Revolutionary War had a lot of tension too. The french were engaging in british peace negotiations. Spain also joined to help france, but they were completely ineffective. Because of this the war began to turn to England s favor. They began to gain territories. At the end of the war they gained a ton of territory. I believe this gave hope to the colonist that the underdogs in the beginning can rise up in the end. Also the war had a lot of benefits for england, it gave them a lot of land. This showed the colonist how much they could

Introduction I love buying shoes and I have always wondered if shoes and height is correlational. I believe it is, based on my personal experiences. Shoe size generally is proportional to height. It s common sense that shorter people have shorter feet than taller people. However, there is probably a clearer relationship between shoe sizeand height when girls and boys are measured separately. The shoe size is measured from the tip of the toe to the heel. The height of a person is measured from the top of the head to the bottom of the feet.
Statement of Task The main purpose of this investigation is to see if there is a correlation between height and shoe size.
Plan of Investigation The data is collected from 36 students from Garland High School. They were from ages 16 18 years old. These students were picked based on convenience. This survey might be somewhat biased because some students did not want to take it because they did not know their information. The survey was anonymous, except for the gender. With the data I collected, I did the standard deviation, scatter plot graphs, and correlation coefficient. Standard deviation is the diffusion of data. I used it because it tells you how widely spread your data is. It s used when assessing data. To find the standard deviation, it s necessary to first find the mean. Now we find how far each value is from the mean (the deviation). Then, square the deviations and find the mean of those values. I used a scatter plot graph
Introduction:
Billy ( B ) has been asked by his father, Choy ( C ) to work on the farm with Maggie ( M ). B does not know whether he is entitled to $20 000 and to a share in the farm. B does not know whether he is in a contract with C for these items and is trying to scrutinise if he is entitled to these items.
To discover whether there is a valid contract and whether B is able to sue C for breach of any existing contract, facts of the problem must be identified, then laws that are relevant to this case must be deliberated on the basis of contract law principles. Once investigations are completed and if a contract discovered, the terms of this contract must be outlined. B will be then advised whether he can file to sue, which would allow him to make claims on the extra $20 000 and a share in the farm that he is entitled to.
Is there a contract?
In order for a valid contract to exist, six prerequisites must be met. A contract must have an intention to create legal relations, an agreement, consideration, legal capacity, genuine consent and legality of objects. However legal capacity, genuine consent and legality of objects do not have much relevance in the case between B and C. Evidence must be given in order to prove that the parties involved hand an intention to make a legally enforceable contract. In this case, there is an implied non commercial agreement. The non commercial agreement is a domestic agreement where the parties involved are between two family members;
