The Pros And Cons Of The Plain Teght Doctrine
The plain view doctrine is an exception to the search warrant requirements that allows police officers to seize evidence, without a search warrant, that they recognize as contraband or used in a criminal activity that is seen in plain view without having to enter the property or perform a search. In addition, a corollary to the plain sight doctrine is the plain smell doctrine, that allows if an officer smells evidence (e.g. marijuana), the officer meets the probable cause requirement to initiate a warrantless search (Lemons, n.d.). For example, an officer pulls over to assist a stranded motorist and observes in the front console of the vehicle a large bag of pills. This meets the probable cause requirement for the officer to perform a search of the vehicle. There are three main requirements which must be satisfied in order for the plain sight exception to be valid. Based on Horton v. California, 496 U.S. 128 (1990) the first requirement is the police officer must have a lawful presence in the area where the evidence was observed, which does not violate the Fourth Amendment constitutional guaranty. The second requirement is the officer must be able to observe the evidence by plain view or smell. Finally, the third requirement is the officer must immediately recognize the evidence or contraband, which was accidental or inadvertent, without making any further intrusion (Ryan, 2017). When evidence is found initially during or a s consequence of an illegal search or
The Delegation Of Egypt On The Electoral Violence
The Delegation of EgyptAmerican High School The Delegation of Egypt on the Electoral Violence
The Arab Republic of Egypt has shown the effects of Electoral Violence, when the overthrow of the Islamic President Mohammed Morsi in June 2013 resulted in a string of violent incidents, widely recognized as the Egyptian Crisis. Between July 3, 2013 and January 31, 2014, an estimated total of 3,143 Egyptians have been killed in various acts of political violence. Over 17,000 Egyptians are estimated were wounded in more than 1,100 demonstrations and clashes between July 3, 2013 and February 28, 2013. An estimated 18,977 Egyptians were detained for reasons relevant to the country s political turmoil between July 3 and December 31, principally from the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist organizations.
The Arab Republic of Egyptis an active member of the United Nations and the African Union. Egypt has ratified numerous UN Human Rights Conventions and consequently has made binding international commitments to comply to the standards determined in these universal human rights documents. For example, Egypt signed the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (CCPR) on August 4, 1967, which commits its parties to respect the civil and political rights of individuals, including the right to life, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, electoral rights and rights to due process and a fair trial. However, numerous obstacles
TECHNOLOGY FRIEND OR FOE?
Until recently, I had always accepted technology as a wonderful friend, but after doing some in depth reading and research on the topic I found that technology also has its draw backs. Through research I found that technology has been nothing more than a journey of trial and error. In my research I discovered what I choose to call the dark side of technology. Everyday household conveniences, transportation, and modern medicine are all products of technology that are an integral part of our society. More often than not these products and services are viewed as assets or friends of our society .and the draw backs are often overlooked And why not ? We are a Convenience oriented society,... When I was a young girl, my family and I, in the safety of our own family car. took a trip to Tombstone, Arizona to capture a little of the Old West while it still existed. The trip being a spur of the moment decision, didnt give us much time but to put together some sandwiches and soda pops then head out for Tombstone. We witnessed a real gunfight and a stage coach robbery, we even had a genuine cowboy dinner. We enjoyed the old western atmosphere, and were disappointed when it came time to leave. We then headed for the nearest gas station and fueled up before heading home. It was already past sunset and we children drifted off to sleep with happy thoughts of the day. I remember waking up to the feeling of weightlessness like that of a roller coaster ride. we were flying off the freeway at high speed, when I finally realized that we were going to crash. I felt a hard blow and was knocked unconscious. When I came to I found myself trapped in the car which was now upside down, and all I could hear was screaming and crying all around me. it seemed like hours had passed before help had arrived. It wasn t until then that I felt something warm flowing down my face. It was blood from my aunt Maria who was
How Did Benjamin Franklin Impact Society
Franklin s Impact on the Eighteenth Century In Poor Richard s Almanack, Franklin once wrote, God helps them that help themselves (Clark 6). Benjamin Franklin, America s past printer, publisher, scientist, and inventor, followed this philosophy of life throughout the century of the Enlightenment (Wilson 204). He not only shared his perspectives with the world, but he shared his discoveries, as well. Franklin improved his society s life in a variety of ways. Franklin impacted the eighteenth century by making scientific discoveries, sharing his philosophy in the Enlightenment, and establishing social and political improvements for the American colonies. To begin with, Franklin was born on January seventeenth, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts (Labaree xiii). Even with only two years of schooling, Franklin devoted himself to reading and learning at a young age (Fleming 15). He was interested in poetry as a child and even published one of his own. As he grew older, Franklin was inspired by what he had read about the philosopher, Socrates. Franklin used his questioning tactics to figure out his own logical reasoning and beliefs (Kurland 4 5). At just age nine, Franklin was persuaded to sign a contract to be an apprentice printer to his... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This took place in his famous kite experiment in 1749. To share his discoveries with the world, Franklin wrote and published Experiments and Observations on Electricity, Made at Philadelphiain America. In response to this, The Royal Society, England s scientific group, awarded him with the Copley Medal in 1753, and Franklin became a member. Both Harvard and Yale universities gave him degrees in Master of Arts (Fleming 6 8). His invention of the lightning rod helped reduce the amount of fires throughout the colonies because less lightning struck houses (Kurland

According to the New York Times, the new book shows the different part of renowned Atticus Finch, a racist who once attended a Klan meeting.
The book explores the life of Scout, Atticus s daughter, her disappointment in father, and reflections on racial issues and segregation.
The New York Times says that Lee brought the book to publishers in 1957, however was advised to re write it. Then the Mockingbird emerged.

Pillow Angel Case Study
PILLOW ANGEL The pillow angel is a reference to a child born with a mental disability and the parent s ethics in taking care of this child. The term pillow angel is a name given to Ashley by her family members (Amy Burkholder, 2007). Ashley was born with static encephalopathy which is a severe brain impairment that leaves her unable to walk, talk, eat, sit up, or roll over (Hastings Report Center, pg.16). The parents set a plan to secure the long term comfort ability of their daughter and their ability to take care of her. Benefits Of A Low Bodyfat Percentage
Benefits of a Low Bodyfat Percentage
Obesity is ranked second among preventable causes of death. About 70% of American adults are either overweight or obese. Being obese or overweight puts the host at a higher risk for health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and much more (Alonso Alonso). When I found out about this jaw dropping information, I decided to take action and I made it my goal to maintain a low body fat percentage over the course of two weeks (I will be sharing my experience further down the road). Because of an elevated mood, aesthetic improvements, health benefits, and my positive experience, obtaining low bodyfat percentage is very beneficial.
To begin, having a low bodyfat percentage is beneficial because it has the ability to boost self esteem. Losing excess weight can make you feel better both physically and emotionally and can help you live a longer, healthier life (Alonso Alonso). You become a different person physically and Mentally. Confidence goes over the roof. Everything is mentally achievable (Cooper). This shows that having a low body fat percentage causes confidence and internal happiness because it allows the host to feel better about their appearances in turn producing happier and more productive people, which is a major common problem in modern days. This proves that a low body fat percentage can benefit a person s mental health in a positive manner. In addition, low
