The breadbasket of Eastern Europe is having a problem with militants who have killed and have tortured hundreds of people in the name of freedom. The militants, Pro Russian rebels native to Ukraine, believe that their actions against the government are just. Those who believe that the Pro Russian Ukrainian rebels are fighting against a corrupt, ultranationalist government are right. The Ukrainian citizens need to understand, however, that the government of Ukraine is the lesser of two evils; the rebels have committed many more heinous crimes than the government has. The rebels are also against policies that can benefit all of Europe and Ukraine. Currently, the Ukrainian people seek to have a stable nation with a self sufficient government... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike the rest of Ukraine, Eastern Ukrainians have received more of a cultural and linguistic influence from Russia. The Ukrainian people are descended from the nomadic, free Cossacks. The Cossacks neither loved the tsar not the [Polish] lord and were a people totally separate from the Russians and Polish (Magosci 19). The roots of Russia and Ukraine reveal that the name Russia is derived from the word Kievian Rus. The Kievian Rus were Ukrainian people who had established Kiev, the capital of the ancient Russian state (ExpatRu). The name Russia was eventually adopted by Peter the Great many years later. The Russian speaking Ukrainians have been influenced a lot by Russian culture; they have adopted the language due to the constant transfer of power between Russia (including the USSR) and other countries. Due to the lack of this knowledge, the rebels have successfully manipulated the minds of the Russian speaking citizens into thinking they are ethnic Russians. The support the rebels show toward Russia has given them protection; Russia already seeks to expand its territory, so they completely support anything the rebels do. Historically, Ukrainians and many western Russians are Ukrainian; the arrogance the rebels have
Including everything from a hero with a secret identity, to a dying passion The Scarlet Pimpernel written by Emmuska Orczy, is a classic that doesn t bore you to death. The Scarlet Pimpernel is the first novel in a series of historical fiction, written by Emmuska Orczy. First published in 1905 it proved popular with its English audience, unlike its several sequels. No matter what genre you prefer I m sure anyone would enjoy this piece of work. It s difficult not to get hooked on the first line: surging, seething, murmuring crowd, of beings that are only human in name, for to the eye and ear they seem naught but savage creatures, animated by vile passions and by the lust of vengeance and of hate. The story is set in 1792 during France s bloodthirsty revolution. With French citizens demanding the heads of the rich whether it be child, woman, or man. A band of daring young Englishmen defies the French Republic, by endangering their lives to save innocent French aristocrats, from the sharp, merciless blade of the Madame Guillotine . The leader of this valiant group is only known by a small red flower, he leaves scribbled on a piece of paper after his daring rescues; the flower being a scarlet pimpernel.... Everyone French and English alike are striving to know the ingenious protagonist s identity, no one would ever suspect the dim, inane sir Percy Blakeney as the hero. The double life of Sir Percy made this story just the more interesting, I believe that Sir Percy one of England s richest, fashionable and densest, was the Scarlet pimpernels finest façade, the disguise even fooling Marguerite Blakeney, the wife of Sir Percy Blakeney, and one of Europe s

Moreover, engagement risklies, contingently, in the integrity of Herb. Since Herb is required to have an audit, this typically implies a slightly higher level of engagement risk opposed to a firm that is not required to have an audit.

Have you ever had a case of the hiccups that you just couldn t seem to get rid of? You tried all the tricks in the book, from holding your breath, to standing upside down, but those pestering hiccups still stuck around? In a sense, many Eastern European countries had a persistent case of the hiccups, during the early 1990s, which they were trying to shake. Except this wasn t your average case of the hiccups, these hiccups were called communism. Following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, most post Soviet satellite states began making the transition to become liberal democracies. However, the transition from communist governments to democratic governments was not necessarily a smooth one for most of the Eastern European countries. Decades of oppressive Soviet rule and deep rooted communist parties made ties to the Soviet Union especially hard to cut. Ukraine, in particular, struggled mightily to break away from the Russian communists, and that struggle is still continuing today. In the form of a corrupt government and pro Russian supporters in South and Eastern Ukraine, roadblocks were created on the Ukrainian road to democracy that they are still trying to maneuver. In analyzing the challenges posed to Ukraine in their continuing transition to a liberal democracy, it is important to start in 1990, when Ukraine officially declared independence. This declaration included principles of self determination, democracy, and the priority of Ukrainian law over Soviet law.
Object Relational Mapping (ORM) is a programming technique for converting data between incompatible types in object oriented programming languages. ORM can be considered as a mechanism that helps and aids in addressing, accessing and manipulating data without having to necessarily consider the relationship between the data and the data source. Programmers can maintain a constant view of objects over time and can adapt to application access or data delivery changes while using ORM. ORM manages the mapping properties amongst a set of objects that have underlying relational databases, repositories or other sources of data that simultaneously hide constant details that have been changed in related interfaces from the developers and the code they create. ORM makes it theoretically possible for developers to switch applications between relational databases. Since ORM tools mostly rely heavily on metadata of both the databaseand objects, the objects do not need to know anything about the database and the database doesn t need to know anything about how the data is structured in the application. ORM provides a clean well designed data application.
Advantages of ORM
The most important key feature of using ORM is the mapping it uses to bind an object to its database. ORM performs the task of managing the application s interactions with the database. There are various number of benefits to using ORM for development of database applications. The productivity increases as during
The midwife as distinguished by Leap (2009) research of the women centred relationship and the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) (2016a) defines the midwife role as meeting each woman s social, emotional, physical, spiritual and cultural needs, expectations and context as defined by the woman herself (para. 7). ACM position the midwife as the primary profession for quality maternity care founded during training, through the direction of the Nursing and MidwiferyBoard of Australia (NMBA) Code of Professional Conduct For Midwives In Australia (CPC) and reinforced by the Code of Ethics For Midwives In Australia (ACM, 2015; NMBA, 2008a; 2008b). Sullivan et al., (2011) maintain acknowledging the complexity of relationships with women, colleagues and health care organisation leads to greater job satisfaction for midwives. Further to Sullivan et al., (2011) research Freeney and Fellenz (2013a; 2013b) demonstrates that quality midwifery care is promoted when midwives experienced their role as valuable to the health organisation, those midwives that perceived their role as autonomous and having a prosocial impact were further engaged in their work. The findings of Aiken et al., (2012) extensive hospital research of patient safety and satisfaction associated an improvement in patient outcomes, including mortality and patient satisfaction when hospitals have lower patient to nurse ratios with nurses involved in decision making, this improved job satisfaction for nurses. In consideration of Aiken et al., (2012) findings and Freeney et al., (2013a) research organisational support of midwives principals an increase in self directed performance, superior job satisfaction for the midwife and potentially improving outcomes for the woman. The relationship between midwife and woman is identified as a collaborative partnership, avoiding over or under involvement in the therapeutic relationship, it is advisable to work within the continuum of professional behavior and
The United States is increasingly becoming a nation of nonreaders. In 2013, it was reported that 32 million adults, 14 percent of our population, could not read. Twenty one percent of the adults that same year read below a fifth grade level. Additionally, nineteen percent of the high school graduates could not read (Maddie Crum. The U.S. Illiteracy Rate Hasn t Changed In 10 Years. The Huffington Post). This is alarming in a wealthy country like the United States. Our society will suffer from illiteracy in socioeconomic issues if we continue to abandon readingin future years. If we continue to neglect reading as a nation the literacyrate of children will decrease. Due to many parents having reading difficulties themselves, they do not read to their kids at a young age. Often these parents do not encourage reading. According to the U.S Department of Education, when there is a low amount of parent support at home the classroom reading score is below the national average by 46 points. When there is a high amount of parental support at home the classroom reading score is above the national average by 28 points (NEA Facts about Children s Literacy ). Children with low parental support come to school behind their classmates who experienced reading at a young age. When parents read to their children they learn early reading skills, such as reading from left to right, the meaning of words, and it increases their vocabulary. Children who come to school already behind
To define the terminology of federalism to a simplistic way is the sharing of sovereignty between the national government and the local government. It is often described as the dual sovereignty of governments between the national and the local to exert power in the political system. In the US it is often been justified as one of the first to introduce federalismby the founding fathers which were developed in order to escape from the overpowered central government. However, federalism in the United Statesis hitherto uncertain where the power lies in the contemporary political system. In this essay I will outline and explain how power relationship alternates between states and federal government. Moreover I will also discuss my... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the state of Maryland tried to block the activity of the national bank by imposing tax to all the notes that were issued. The branch manager of the bank in Baltimore refused to pay taxes and lawsuits were filed in the Maryland Court. However, the case was brought up to the U.S Supreme Court as the Constitution did not subjectively describe that Federal Government had the authority to establish a bank. The U.S Supreme Court led by Chief Justice John Marshall ruled out the case that acknowledges that the Congress has the rights to establish a national bank under Article 1 Section 8 in the American Constitution. This shows that the US Constitution was vaguely described and gave the Congress an insight to pass laws as long as it is within the Constitution. However, this gave the Federal Government to create the mentality to indirectly gain more power which restricts the States sovereignty. The complexity of the relationship between the federal government and states government arise it dealt with national issues. In the recent events the federal government has been heavily involved with people s lives notably when it comes to national issues. For instance, in the 1930s when America faced the Great Depression the States had to turn to the Federal government to solve the issue and New Deal program was introduced. The New Deal program that was introduced by Franklin D. Roosevelt solved the macroeconomic problems that United States faced from the Great
Medicine has become so advanced in the previous centuries that it is a wonder how the medical discoveries of today have been fueled by those made during the Renaissance. As the mindset of those living in Europe during that time changed from religion to self discovery, medical research began to expand and grow to a more scientific approach. Though several were unable to read, they became more aware of themselves and humanity compared to their earlier religious views on life, causing them to take a closer look at the human anatomy. During the English Renaissance, physicians began to advance the scientific study of medicineleading to the development of modern medical practices, and making a more profound impact than previous eras.

The citizens of today are living well beyond their fifties, and some are even living past their nineties. As more and more citizens began to discover different aspects of life, their approach to medicine began to change as it neared the end of the Medieval Era.
Though the Church still controlled most hospitals, physicians began to research and experiment with human anatomy. Before, dissections would be made using animals instead of humans. Soon their practices were dispelled by a physician, Andreas Vesalius. Vesalius conducted his own anatomical dissections on human cadavers and found that Galen s teaching [...] did not always apply to humans (Shane 26). At the time, dissecting a human was against the word of God, to do so would be unholy. The Church began to reconsider after Vesalius findings but they still did not allow the dissection of God fearing bodies. Instead, they allowed for the use of criminal bodies once they were executed, or even while they were still alive as a source of torture ( History of Medicine 2011). Though some may see the practice as inhumane, it opened up many windows for physicians, giving them a chance to go against the Church but still being able to live with the word of God. During the early modern period, hospitals in Europe s urban centers [...] came under the control of nonreligious groups[...] At the same time, more positive ideas of keeping a person s good health and being cured of sickness suggested that illness was

Fairy tales have been told for years and have been adjusted as authors see fit to portray their particular message or create a more applicable story for a new culture or era. At times, these tales remain true to their purpose even when written in different. By specifically evaluating the purpose, moral, and characters within two versions, Brothers Grimms titled Briar Rose and Charles Perraults Sleeping Beautyin the Wood, an understanding of their relevance can be distinguished. These versions of Sleeping beauty act as one of these tales though many...have done their best to make her story go away (Tartar). Although written in an earlier era, Brothers Grimm s Briar Rose and Charles Perrault s Sleeping Beauty in the Wood work effectively on a modern teenage and young adult audience evident in the similar purpose through their tale s distinct morals and character portrayal. A telling of the Sleeping Beauty tale by Brothers Grimm called Briar Rose begins with a king and queen long for a child and are promised they will receive one. The queen indeed has a daughter and the king throws a feast in celebration inviting twelve of thirteen Wise Women due to having only twelve golden plates. At the feast, the child is bestowed many gifts and the uninvited Wise Woman appears and curses the child saying when she turns fifteen she will prick her finger on a spindle and die. The last Wise woman uses her gift to keep the princess alive by placing her in a hundred year sleep.
My topic is Early Childhood Development and this is the finding to know if attending pre school or head start would help the child s development and have the child more prepared for kindergarten. This topic is based on the social learning theory and how each family teaches their child differently. I have chosen to do my topic on Early Childhood Development because of my practicum being a developmental center (Inspire), also because I have a passion in working with families and children. This appeals to me because I know that if the families enroll their child in the pre school program, the child will benefit from it and will be more prepared for kindergarten. Usually agencies like this prefer low income parents and if you meet the requirements, there is a good possibility that the child will attend. I have met families that would like their child to attend because they know that it is a better outcome for them, but in their household, they have a high income. Some research says that the children that attended early head start programs were more development ready for kindergarten. Inspire has a Region Head Start (RHS) which is for 3 5 year old children and this program helps the children socialize with others, solve problems and have other experiences, which will help them become more self confident (Inspire, 2016).
The theory I will focus on is the Social Learning Theory. Albert Banduratheory explains that people learn from one another, either from modeling, imitation
