Software Development Is No Easy Task

Software development is no easy task. There are many ways to plan and execute the development of a software application. The biggest problem facing developers is to figure out which processes will work best for them. There are many things a developer needs ask themselves when planning a product. Requirements gathering has many ways to be accomplished, but which is the best? Should a waterfall style of development be used, or does agile offer more important features? Would it save time to develop in a test driven environment? What is the most accurate way to estimate the time needed to complete the project? Is there an architecture that would be more efficient for this product? How can the documentation be kept up to pace with the code?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This means that trying to interpret someone else s wants and needs can result in a different interpretation by the developer, resulting in features that were not properly developed. This process can also often be hindered by the fact that customers do not actually know what they want, and are unaware of what would actually best fulfill their needs. There are ways in which these miscommunications and customer misnomers can be combatted. One way is to interview the client and take notes on what they need their software to do. Often these notes can be much different than what the client actually tells you they need. Another way to get requirements is by observation. Observing a client do their job and navigate current software can often tell you much more than the client themselves. This process can also help during the design process as you can see what function are used the most frequent and should be at the top of the design backlog. Although there are many more way to gather requirements, these types of requirements gathering that require customer interaction tend to produce the best results. Waterfall vs. Agile When developing a software product there are two different project management approaches that can be taken: waterfall or agile. Both waterfall and agile have their advantages and disadvantages but agile has become the more popular of the two, due to its ease of change during the devolvement process. Waterfall development is constructed with a step by step

The Misrepresentation of Cambodia Sociology 300 Professor: Emmanuel Obi Althea M Pullins

Abstract The history of Cambodia will be reviewed in this paper. The paper will focus on the history of Cambodia from the time that Pol Pot led the country until present time. The paper will look in detail at the genocide of Cambodia that occurred under the leadership of Pol Pot from 1975 to 1979 where an estimated 2,000,000 Cambodians died. An analysis of the political landscape will be discussed in the paper. Women culture and the treatment of women during this period will be examined. The paper will also evaluate the religious culture, the impact that various ethnicities had on Cambodia, and report on the agrarian reform ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cambodia has a growth rate of 3% per year and GDP per capita 735 (2010).

[pic] In 2004, Cambodia was the second least developed country to join the World Trade Organization. Tourism comprises about 17.5 percent of Cambodia GDP in 2009, and 13.7 percent of total employment during this same time span(2009). Cambodia per capita income is rapidly growing due to their agriculture and major exports of rice, fish, garments and rubber (2010). The social development of Cambodia is also on the rise. Under the Khmer Rouge regime; more than 2 million people were shot, strangled, beheaded, or starved to death in the 20th century. Many of the skilled and educated people of Cambodia were killed during this time and Cambodia is still attempting to recover both from an economic, educational, and social standpoint.

Education Education in Cambodia is in a dismal array. Modern education in Cambodia has progressed gradually. The first high school in Cambodia did not open until the late 1930 s (2001). Manual labor and political correctness was emphasized in the educational system over knowledge by the Khmer. The Khmer Rouge claimed that rice fields were books, and hoes were pencils (2001). A deliberate attempt was made to destroy the foundations of a modern education system by the Khmer Rouge as they killed any with a higher education such as doctors, lawyers, teachers, and former college students. If the Khmer Rouge did not kill them, they

The Female Body Documentary Analysis

The Female Body, an incredible machine hidden by underwear, clothing, and makeup and pressured by society. Incredible Machines tackles the daily challenge of being female by having a conversation about our underwear.

I m tired of battling the eye stares and pretending they don t happen and that they don t bother me. I m exhausted from competing with photos to look my best, do my best, and be the best female in my space. I m just tired of having to need a great body, hair, and clothing all the time. Let s not even get into the fact that it s expected to look good for everyone daily and that we re expected to have it all together while being proper yet we figure it out. We all do. We take a class, work, take time with our children, make children, handle our home, pay bills, plan vacations and if we don t get all these things done there s an anxiety about them.

That anxiety is every day. The stares continue, the comparisons and images thrown at our face are everyday things but we don t want pity. We... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sticks and Stones

Freedom of Speech is possibly the most respected American ideal. Envied by citizens of countries where self expression is a right of some and stricken from others, we uphold this concept with defensive pride. However, we must ask ourselves if this freedom can ever go too far. When does lenience turn into naivety? If speech is abused so freely that it enslaves the minds of another should it become a privilege, rather than a right? In his essay On Racist Speech , Charles R. Lawrence III argues for limitations on Freedom of Speechas described in the First Amendment to prevent only the most heinous racial remarks. While I understand why many Americans initially find limiting freedom of speech contradictory to the concept of our free states,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some citizens opposed a restriction on speech simply because they feel it is not a complete upholding of American law. However, we must decide whether the restriction of free speech for protection is entirely acceptable or not at all because responses are often inherently hypocritical. While opposition will often argue that racial comments cause no harm and are a right of the First Amendment, the same people may argue for restrictions of free speech in other circumstances. It is likely that the majority of people oppose allowing pedophiles the right to express their sexual feelings to a child over the internet, which is already a legally enforced restriction on freedom of speech. Although there may be no physical contact between the child and the pedophile, it is important to parents that their children are protected from the possibility of such a threat as well as any emotional distress caused by inappropriate comments. Further examples are found in government views on sexism in the workplace. How much can we restrict the class of people we defend before our laws become just as prejudice as the injustice they attempt to cease? Lawrence reminds us that the Supreme Court... held that sexual harassment that creates a hostile or abusive work environment violates the ban on sex discrimination in employment of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. (64); the same Title prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion... and national

Application Of A Penetration Testing Against ``

Chapter 3: Practical test

My House lab Scenario.

For this coursework I have decided to perform a penetration testing against My House lab , to evaluate and improve my WLAN Infrastructure security.

The scenario that I had examined is a WLAN Infrastructure Network using a Virgin Media Super Hub (Netgear) , with more than 10 devices connected .

Looking on the internet about the router model I own I could make an interesting discovery. I found an article written by an expert in computer security, Paul Moore, dating back to March 2014(Paul Moore,2014). This guy, a year ago, had found a flaw inside the super hub of VirginMedia. Indeed reboot the router took 1 minute to start well, and in this minute for seven seconds was able to access the WiFi network without the need for key. Fortunately Paul contacted the Virgin who in turn contacted the Netgear to try to resolve the issue with the release of a new firmware.

Now the problem is resolved, however is an interesting issue happened, because sometimes, our security depends not only on us and what we can do to protect it and keep it. Sometimes there may be larger obstacles, as in this case an error of firmware that we can circumvent but not eliminate (until the company responsible is not able to patch it).

Methodologies

I adopted different steps to performing penetration testing that is effective in testing how well the My House lab is secure. I have used different softwares such as NMap , Wareshark,

Poetic Devices In Jim Stevens s Schizophrenia

In Jim Stevens poem Schizophrenia (Pg. 115) He uses a house as a catalyst to describe the feelings of schizophrenia by using several poetic devices. He does not follow a set meter or rhyme scheme making this a free verse poem aiding in the delivery of emotion. The theme of the poem is anger with bleak and chaotic also being able to describe what he feels with words such as suffered, slamming, and angry being used throughout the poem. Reading and narrating the poem a feeling of disorganization and unpleasant is present as one would imagine a person suffering from schizophrenia would undergo. The impression the poem leaves is a battle being raged amongst many coming through the eyes of one person. The house represents the brain with the other events going on being emotions, relationships, or even synapsis and different areas of the brain firing neurons causing certain sentiments. He achieves this by using poetic devices such as personification, allegory, imagery, metaphors, and symbol. The poem is littered throughout with examples of personification and metaphors as personifications can be said to be a type of metaphor. Cases of this can be seen in each stanza such as in stanza one with the poem stating, It was the house that suffered most (Stevens 1) showing the house having human emotions. In Stanza two another instance is The house came to miss the shouting voices (Stevens 9). The personification isn t limited to just the house, Stevens also personifies rooms in stanza three writing rooms declared their loyalties (13). By understanding what schizophrenia is, the challenge of finding meaning to these examples is simplified. Schizophrenia is defined as a mental disorder that is characterized by disturbances in thought, perception, and behavior (Merriam Webster). It can then be inferred that the house acts as the brain as schizophrenia is a mental disorder, while the rooms could be different people the person hears, each retreating to their section or loyalties. These instances of personification provide images that the reader can draw upon and Stevens provides even more powerful imagery throughout the poem. As the reader recites the poem a vivid image of a dull house with inhabitants that do not get

CHRISTOPHER NOLAN

Christopher Nolan is considered an English American film director, screenwriter, and producer and Auteur. Nolan is a man of talent who is known as one of the smartest, most creative, and successful directors in the film industry today. He is widely recognized after his first successful feature movie Following(1998),a noir thriller film.Which was recognized at a number of international film festival.Common themes and actors can be seen throughout Christopher Nolan s films,he is also famous at narrating the movie in a non linear way.In the next paragraph im going to discuss why would i consider him as one of the best modern times auteur.

One of the qualification of being an auteur according to French New Wave film director and film critic Francois Truffaut is that a good director exerts such a distinctive style or promotes such a consistent theme that his or her influence is unmistakable in the body of his or her work. This statement,it s like it s describing Christopher Nolan and his works, especially in the writing of his films and how he creates a relatable world within his films and matches it with a completely unrealistic plot. For example in his film, Inception he creates a real world in which the audience can completely relate to, setting the bulk of the film in Paris. However the plot of the film ensures that the Parisian location is set in a dream conscious state so it is not entirely relatable to

The Road Essay

In Cormac McCarthy s novel The Road the man and the boy refer to themselves as the good guys compared to the bad guys . While reading this book I was lead to believe that the boy is truly the only good guy left, because the man and every other character that I encountered in this book share some of the same qualities as the bad guys . The boy constantly begs his father to be sympathetic and charitable to the drifters that they encounter on the road, but the father usually refuses or either puts up an argument before finally giving into the boy, and handing over one or two cans of food to the stranger. Although the manis in survival mode, he expresses no compassion for humanity and therefore represents the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another passage in the book that also led to my conclusion about the man was when he and the boy had just hit the jackpot in the underground hideout; they had stocked up on food in their buggy and had just about more than they could carry, as they started back on their journey they come across an old man walking down the road. Maybe we could give him something to eat. He looked off down the road. Damn, he whispered. He looked down at the old man. Perhaps he d turn into a god and they to trees. All right, he said. He untied the tarp and folded it back and rummaged through the canned goods and came up with a tin of fruit cocktail and took the can opener from his pocket and opened the tin and folded back the lid and walked over and squatted and handed it to the boy. What about a spoon? He s not getting a spoon. (McCarthy 163). I believe the only reason the man gave in so easily in this situation was because they had been very fortunate in their findings, I sense that the man feared that if he was not at least a tad bit generous, that bad karma might just shadow him. After the stranger on the road had finished eating the can of fruit ...he sat holding the empty tin and looking down into it as if more might appear. What do you want to give him? What do you think he should have? (McCarthy 164). I don t think he should have anything. (McCarthy 165). Here the man s generosity is

The Pros And Cons Of The Executive Order Of Homeland Security

As we move into the twenty first century people are confronted with complicated and compromising matters affecting the intricately convoluted global system. New forms of aggression and threat are the faces that greet policy makers as they spend many hours arranging ways to counter future attacks such as terrorism or massive drug trafficking across national borders. President George W. Bushhas issued a mandate in an undertake to regain control over future acts of aggression such as terrorism in the United States; he issued the Executive Order of Homeland Security as that initial step.

The Executive Order can be seen as an advantage in combating terrorism. In the Executive Order, it states the functions of this cabinet: The functions of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, Bush issued an executive order that authorized the President s Surveillance Program. The new directive allowed the National Security Agency to track communications between suspected terrorists outside the U.S and parties within the U.S. without obtaining a warrant, which previously had been required by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

According to the Fourth Amendment, The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against irrational searches and seizures, shall not be violated. Without the Fourth Amendment, people would have no rights over their personal privacy. The 4th amendment protects US citizens from irrational searches and seizures by the government. If it is violated by the government, all evidence found by the unlawful search and seizure must ought to be excluded as according to the exclusionary rule, which serves as a solution for 4th amendment violations. Before a solution can be given for violation of the 4th amendment, a court shall decide whether the 4th amendment is appropriate to a certain

Money seems to run the world. People need money to buy food, buy shelter, and support families. There are many ways to make money in order to survive, which most commonly involve working a full time job, but also include illegal means and gambling. Gambling seems to be an easy way to make money, but also a high risk... but not if the game is fixed. Despite the lack of prevalent hard evidence proving they fixed the game, the eight White Sox players involved in the 1919 World Seriesbribery scandal were rightfully banned. The eight White Sox players attended meetings about the bribery and accepted and agreed to the bribe. When the White Sox first basemen, C. Arnold Chick Gandil, met with a gambler, the idea of throwing the 1919 World Series... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Soon after, Cicotte decided to testify and confessed his involvement in the bribery of the 1919 World Series. Shortly following his testimony and confession, the other seven players involved began to come forward confessing. The players coasted through their trial in 1921 after all paper records of the player confessions vanished and they were acquitted of all charges. Only a day after their acquittal, recently appointed MLB commissioner, Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis, banned all eight players from professional baseball for life. The 1919 World Series between the Chicago White Soxand Cincinnati Reds was expected to be a blowout in favor of the White Sox. After the Reds emerged victorious, a bribery scandal spread leading to the banning of all eight White Sox players involved. In today s world a scandal of this sort seems completely unlikely regarding the amount of money professional baseball players earn now. But in 1919 the highest paid baseball player was Ty Cobb earning only $20,000 (Haupert). In addition, the White Sox were owned by Charles A. Comiskey, a nineteenth century ballplayer known for paying his players as little as possible(Milner). Many professional baseball players of that time only played part time as they had other jobs. They could not support their families with the salary they earned playing baseball. This is what led to players accepting the bribe and agreeing to

Pros And Cons Of A Car

Car is one of the basic transportations that are needed by us. It goes along with trains, buses, ships, airplanes, and any other means of transportations, which help people travel to different places without so much effort and time wasted.

In ancient times, people only walk if they wanted to go to a different place, while others are using horses to make the journey faster. However, not all of them are rich enough to have a horse. As time passes by, few people were born with gifted minds and were able to discover and invent the train. And without people noticing, new technologies were introduced in different aspects such as communications, machineries, transportations, etc.

Car is the result of those never ending innovations in transportation technology. Every year, new car models with unique and specific functions are released and introduced to the public. From the steam powered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Because of these, many rental car companies penalize even those young drivers with good records by restricting some type of cars that will be rented, charging high daily fees and sometimes, banning some drivers to rent a car.

In most times, drivers at the age of 18 to 21 are impossible to rent since they are renting a car under 25 years of age. But now, if you are in the ages between 21 and 24, you can rent cars in different places managed by Thrifty, Enterprise, Advantage, Budget, Avis, Dollar, National and Hertz. However, they still need to pay daily fees which vary on different locations. Luxury vehicles and SUVs are also prohibited for this age bracket although some companies may reconsider to have these cars be rented but with higher daily fees.

So, if you want to rent a car even though you rent a car under 25 years of age at car rental companies, here are some of the things that you need to

Saudi Arabia And Iran Relations Essay

Saudi Arabia and Iran are two countries that sit on opposite sides of the Sunni/Shiite divide, which can be argued as being the most prominent issue the Middle East faces today. Saudi Arabia is predominantly known to be a Sunni state, while Iran is largely inhabited by Shia Muslims. Both countries aspire to be the hegemonic powers of the region. Ethnically, Iranis known to be a Persian land, unlike Saudi Arabia that is known to be in the heart of the Arab world. These two countries are separated by the Arabian Gulf and throughout the twentieth century and up until today, the relationship between the two countries has been notoriously contentious. Within the past few years especially relationships between the two states have been very fragile with Saudi Arabia ending diplomatic ties early in 2016. The two states are strained over many issues of which are, interpretations of Islam, oil export policy and hegemonic regional leadership. The current relationship between Iran and Saudi Arabia is contentious and competitive, however it can be said that it has improved since the twentieth century when the two countries engaged in direct conflict. The two countries have a very similar political agenda, which they use religion and faith to fulfill. They use the rally around the flag concept in order to strengthen their political agendas through their religious beliefs. The idea of a Sunni/Shitte divide is not as immense within the country, but there is one. Saudi Arabia is more of a

Water Usage Of The Refugee Settlement Essay

Intro The Zambian Refugee Settlement in Mayukwayukwa, which established by the United Nations in 1966, currently has no system for harvesting rain water or for storing water in bulk. Zambia has a monsoonal climate thus it receives all of its rain water in one small section of the year and is dry and arid for the rest. This review will focus specifically on the water usage of the refugee settlement. This area of research will prove to be invaluable for the specifications of the water harvesting and bulk storage system as it will be the basis for which the required volumes of water are calculated. The development of the Mayukwayukwa settlement will be stunted if they do not have access to sufficient amounts of water for the refugees who live there or for the crops and animals. The objectives of this paper are to assess the current water usage of the Mayukwayukwa Refugee Settlement and to predict what the minimum volume is that will meet their basic requirements. The questions that I intend to answer are: What is the current water usage of the refugee settlement in Mayukwayukwa? What is the minimum volume that will meet the basic requirements of the people in the refugee settlement? An accurate data set of water usage of the Refugee Settlement in Mayukwayukwa is impossible to find as there have been no previous attempts to measure it for any reason. The total water usage of the Mayukwayukwa Refugee Settlement is 64,240,000 Litres/Year. This total can be
