The Treaty Relationship Between Canada And First Nations

Canada has been home to Aboriginals for centuries, who play an imperative role in the history of Canada. Culture and tradition have been brought into this country with the help of millions of Aboriginals. Aboriginals have been known to be very strong supporters of their culture, and heritage and take very high importance towards it. They are very traditional people, and have been looking up to their Ancestral ways for centuries. The treaty relationship between Canada and First Nationshas caused a rift and a divide amongst each other for many reasons. Although there has been so much history and tension amidst the two, there is always room for improvement. A lot of things can be done to strive towards a positive relationship, starting with accepting the cultureof Aboriginals and realizing that it is something they will not be letting go. Secondly, education can play a big role in helping this situation, and bringing more awareness to the situation starting from a young age. (p. 5) Lastly, The rights and freedoms of all people in the country need to be equal and similar. Certain changes can really help the state of the situation but it is a matter of willing to try and see the change that we all want. Culture is a way of deciding who we are, it is not something we are born with but something we learn as we grow older. Aboriginals take a lot of significance towards the topic of culture as it is their way of living, and a broad description of who they are, and how they

Fatigue Is Experienced And Perceived

Summary Although all five of the articles that were reviewed are focused on how fatigue is experienced and perceived by women living with FM, each of them had their own approach. Soderberg, Lundman and Norberg (2002) states in the third article that experiencing fatigue often disrupts ones involvement in the world, Sallinen, Kukkurainen, Peltokallio and Mikkelsson (2010) also stated in their study that the women had reported the presence of negative effects on their relationship with their husbands. The fourth study also had a similar view of the phenomenon known as fatigue; Parrish, Zautra and Davis (2008) described fatigue as a feeling that has a negative impact on the daily functioning of the women. Each study focused on a different... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They both looked at how the women felt when they first started to really experience fatigue and what roll it played in their lives in terms of how they kept going despite always feeling fatigue. Parrish, Zautra and Davis (2008) also had a similar interest, this study looked at how the women were experiencing fatigue on a day to day basis. They were able to view the impact that the daily lives of each women affected them the the next day, and what they had learn to do in order to minimize the negative effects associated with fatigue. When examining how the women deal with experiencing fatigue, all of the studies found that the women found fatigue as a burden that you just had to learn to adapt to. Lofgren, Ekholm and Ohman (2006) stated that in order to deal with the symptoms, the women had to accept the loss and grief in what ever way they saw possible. Lofgren, Ekholm and Ohman (2006) noticed that the women all shared feelings of anger, guilt and frustration, which according to Jeffers (2001) are all part of grief. Similar to the beliefs of Sallinen, Kukkurainen, Peltokallio and Mikkelsson (2012), the authors of the fourth study also believed that the women had to learn how to effectively live with FM; they had a positive approach at finding coping mechanisms ( Parrish, Zautra and Davis, 2008). In regards to participants, an obvious similarity is the fact that the studies were all done

Dairy Milk is a brand of milk chocolate currently manufactured by Cadbury. It was introduced in the United Kingdom in 1905 and now consists of a number of different products. Every product in the Dairy Milk line is made exclusively with milk chocolate. Cadbury s Daily Milk has a range of different flavours, all equally famous around the world. This case study relates to the topic of advertising which we studied in class.

Cadbury is not only famous for the quality of their product, but also for their advertising. Since 2007, the date of birth of a glass and a half full production , which is Cadbury s own internal production company, we talk a lot about the chocolate brand because of their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Since 2007 Cadbury have adopted a new advertising approach which many view as critical to both the Cadbury Dairy Milk brand and the company. Cadbury decided not to focus on the chocolate in their advertisements, but instead to focus on entertaining the public. This led to the creation of the three memorable advertisements outlined above, Gorilla , Airport Trucks and Eyebrows . All these advertisements incorporated the Cadbury trademark colour purple into the ads and displayed the Cadbury Dairy Milk logo and slogan A Glass and a Half Full of Joy . All the ads embraced the popularity of viral advertising and used this very much to their advantage and were a huge hit on YouTube and on social networking sites. They became a firm favourite among the online community. They told the public nothing about Dairy Milk. Rather than using the chocolate as the main focal point, Cadbury decided to use emotional appeals to attract the public s attention. Many in the industry viewed this as a huge risk, but it is one that seems to have worked for Cadbury. These three ads are very similar as they don t focus on the Cadbury bar they focus on entertaining the viewer by their use of a gorilla, airport trucks and the two children moving their eyebrows. It s not until the end of the ad that the Dairy Milk bar appears in each ad. They are all very catchy ads by

Supply Chain Management And Logistics

Supply Chain management and logistics are an extremely important functions of an organization. In this research paper, we will be discussing an aspect of supply chain and logistics that I am interested in, how both are related and different, key activities in supply chain and logistics, and the ethics and social responsibility in both supply chain and logisticsmanagement. Logistics is a vital component of supply chain management. Both involve the planning, carrying out and management of goods, services and information from the point of origin to the point of consumption. Logistics aligns the multifaceted pattern of traffic and transportation, shipping and receiving, import and export operations, warehousing, inventory management, purchasing, production planning and customer service. Organizations, like the one I work for, see logistics as a critical design of the supply chain. When organizations incorporate logistics as a key component of the business plan, they can use it to manage, coordinate and monitor resources needed to move products in a smooth, timely, cost effective and reliable manner.

Like Logistics, Supply Chain Management is an essential element of operational efficiency. The impact that supply chain has on our organization is substantial and exponential. Two of the main ways SCM affects business include: boosts customer service and our overall bottom line. Supply chain impacts our customer service by making sure the right product assortment and quantity are

Persuasive Essay On Why Kids Should Paid An Allowance

Additionally, forty eight percent of parents who had children in school paid them for good grades. The average pay rate for an A was $16.60. Many children receive a pretty decent allowance, but just how do they spend it? Are they allowed by their parents to spend it? USA Weekend conducted a survey on teens and they found out that seventy five percent of teens are in complete control of what they spend their money on. They should be advised, but not restricted. The teens need to learn about what they need to buy versus what they want to buy. This will teach the child to be responsible with his or her earnings. However, it is important that the parent does not pay for something the child would regularly pay for if they are short on cash ( How Your Child Spends His Allowance ). In general, children will pay for things that entertain them and things they want. Parents will typically pay for things they ask for objects that are more expensive like cars, cell phones, movies, downloads, and sports or hobby equipment (Smith). One mom had a great method to teach her children about the true value of money. After walking around with them in the store, they would ask for small toys all throughout the store. Consequently, the mom said no and later decided to start paying an allowance and let them buy the toys instead. Her reasoning behind this technique was to supply her children with enough money to buy maybe a few toys at a time. This caused the children to think critically about whether they actually wanted the toy or not and why they should buy one toy over another. More things to avoid paying for as the children get older are library book fines (if they are into reading that is), souvenirs that would be bought on vacation, and books or other items from book fairs (Kerry). The kids can figure out what they should spend their money on. Long story short, if parents are going to pay an allowance, make sure the kids know what they are getting paid for. A fair point can be made on the side of children not receiving an allowance. Some parents may say that they did not get paid for household chores so why should they show their kid that it is normal to be paid for chores. Another main point of the argument against paying

Techniques Used by Clarinet Players

Technique is very important for all musicians of all types, especially for Clarinet players. Many of the techniques are vital for a great musician to understand. Things such as embouchure, vibrato and tone effects are all things that are required by the musician. I will be investigating the embouchure and how a correct one will substantially increase your prowess as a woodwind, particularly clarinet, player. The clarinet is a woodwind instrument that has a single reed mouthpiece. Johann Christoph Denner invented the clarinet in Germany around the turn of the 18th century by adding a register key to the earlier Chalumea. Having a correct embouchure is vitally important to playing woodwind instruments.

Structure

1.Embouchure.

2.Different types of embouchures in different people.

3.Research into different kinds of embouchure and how other people do it.

4.Synthesis of why it is very important to have an good embouchure.

With the woodwinds, the sound is generated by a reed and not with the lips. The embouchure is therefore based on sealing the area around the reed and the mouthpiece. This makes sure that there is no air escaping from either side of the mouthpiece when the musician is blowing. A reed instrument works by having the musician blowing a steady breath of air over the reed and through the mouthpiece. The vibrations of the reed are what produce the sound that makes up the notes. The harder or stronger the air is passing over the reed the higher the pitch of the

Angus Cartwright III

People

Angus Cartwright, III, an investment advisor, was based in Arlington, Virginia, the home of many members of the DeRight family. In September 2003 his attention focused on the needs of two cousins at different stages of their lives. John DeRight had recently sold his business to a medium sized public company in exchange for $18 million of the company s stock. He then retired and expected to live comfortably on the $500,000 in dividends paid on the stock plus retirement and other income he had of an equal amount. He felt the need to diversify his investments, however, and planned to sell up to half of his stock and reinvest it in real estate and other investments. Even ... The land value of the property, for purposes of depreciation, was estimated at $2,100,000 and the depreciation period (cost recovery period) for the building would be 27.5 years. Nearby was the second property, a five story, 75,000 square foot office building, 900 Stony Walk, with 67,000 square feet of rentable space. The building was rented to lawyers, accountants, and small service firms which each rented between 5,000 and 7,500 square feet. 900 Stony Walk was completed in 1998 and had been operating at a 95% occupancy level since its initial rentup. The asking price was $11.6 million, but the broker believed a price of $11.5 million would be accepted. The projected gross rental income for 900 Stony Walk was $1,742,000 with cash flowbefore financing of $1,057,200. A new $8 million mortgage at a 6.5% interest rate had been arranged. The term was 10 years with amortization over 20 years. The land value for purposes of depreciation was estimated at $3,500,000. Since it was a nonresidential building, 900 Stony Walk would have to be depreciated on a straightline basis over 39 years. Like Alison Green, real estate taxes would be at a rate of 12% of gross rent. The third property was Ivy Terrace, an 80 unit garden apartment project under construction near Arlington, Virginia. The property was for sale for $8.6 million, but the broker was certain it could be purchased for $8.4 million. A 10 year, $5.5

The Nutrition And Food With Integrity

Chipotle.com,. Chipotle . N.p., 2015. Web. 11 Nov. 2015. The nutrition and food with integrity categories explain in detail Chipotle s commitment to organic and local ingredients. They list the characteristics of individual ingredients, where they are grown and their chemical properties. I personally was impressed to see such a famous corporation become that open about their ingredients. This source could be served as an example of what restaurant managers can use to promote organic products and build their credibility among customers. However, since this source comes from Chipotle s website, it does not have formal sources citation and maybe biased toward the interests of the company.

Crinnion, Walter J. Organic Foods Contain Higher Levels of Certain Nutrients, Lower Levels of Pesticides, and May Provide Health Benefits for the Consumer. Alternative Medicine Review 15.1 (2010): 4 12. Print. This academic study considers different factors that can influence the quality of organic food, such as soil quality, weather condition and length of time. Walter Crinnion also concludes from his analysis of previous studies and his own that organic food does provide greater levels of vitamin, minerals and antioxidant phytochemicals. This study will be helpful to my research since I want to include different factors affecting the nutritional value of organic food, so that I can stress the importance for restauranteur to recognize these factors before deciding to buy organic

Injustice Reflection Paper

The story that I m going to be talking about that is an injustice that was unfair in my eyes is something that happened to me in the 2nd grade. Even though this happened such a long time ago I still think about it to this day and its like a ghost almost haunting me when it pops into my head at random times. It may have not been that bad in someone else s eyes but in mine being only 7 years old and never getting in trouble before this especially not as bad as this it was very traumatic. This is the story of what had happened with the injustice that happened to me. One day during class I had decided to go to the restroom and the restrooms were in portables. We had to walk a bit away to the bathroom. As I was walking to the bathroom portables I saw a girl run past me who also came from the bathroom but I didn t think anything of it. When I got to the restroom I noticed that the janitor was at the restroom doing what he needed to do but wasn t there. His cart had just been there so I assumed he was off somewhere else. I did my business then as I was coming out the janitor came up to me and started yelling at me. I was confused because I was just going to the bathroom. He was saying things about how I thought it was real funny to lock the stalls from the inside while the janitor was there. I simply said I didn t do it but the janitor of course didn t believe me because who would believe a 7 year old s word. The girl who was running away had been the one to lock the stalls from the inside so that the janitor would have a hard time while he was doing his job. Since I was in the scene of the crime they assumed it was me even though numerous times I tried to tell them that it wasn t me who had did it. He took me to the principals off explaining to the principal what happened and what I had done. Again, I tried to tell the principal that I didn t do it but again they didn t believe me. I ended up getting a referral for something that I didn t do. I was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. No one ever ended up believing me on the situation expect for my mother. When I had to tell her about the referral she was the only one who had believed my story.

Since I was just a child of course no one would have believed

Speech On Endangered Animals

Millions of animal species are endangered because people kill animals, people do not take time to care for them, and people do not understand the meaning of endangered animals. Animals cannot do anything about what happened to them, because studies show that animals do not understand what humans do. Since the animals do not understand what is going on people need to help them out, and support how they react to the economy. Throughout history, animals are becoming more endangered as the years go on, because of how people treat their economy and how they treat the speciesaround their area. The problem with this society is that people would rather go on with their days than use ten minutes to help save an animals life.

There are many endangered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... People really need to start protecting every kind of species, people also need to find places for them to safely live. The main causes of animals becoming endangered is the people, habitat loss, and environment change. If people just took time out of the day, people could easily donated money to care centers for these animals. Even though animals do not seem important, they should be our number one concern in the world, because without them what is the point in the
