Disadvantages Of Vl

knowledge (Arkorful Abaidoo, 2015). The virtual learning made it possible to connect ideas even worldwide because of social media or internet. Hence the main purpose of VL is knowledge development that is very relevant in the classroom or even off campus like independent learning at home. If the teacher is not available during the class or the students, the teacher can send the instructional materials and can learn and interact with each other. These are some sources needed for both teachers and students to gain access information globally. In educationVL is important. Some of the pedagogical functions of the virtual learningenvironment are reflected by the researchers and defined it accordingly. It was mentioned from... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Researchers that identify barriers to VL include the difficulty of the teachers in using VL. The selectivity in ICT uses and read only participants. Also, since there is no face to face interaction the lack of trust in personal and institutional was a barrier (Fontainha Gannon Leary 2008). Another barrier is the difficulty in implementing the teachers in using VL and technology. Some teachers have lack of knowledge in using and manipulating the technology to apply the VL for students hinders in using it. In the Philippine setting, the issue of lack of facilities which includes the ICT or VL environment is very rampant, especially in the rural and suburban areas. Aside from the insufficient funding and lack of resources. The major barrier or challenges for the teachers also is the alignment of the concept in the lesson to the type of technology which will be used. Aside from identifying the computer technology tools in teaching, the alignment and relevance of the learning activities to the learners were the major problems in implementing virtual learning in the classroom (So Kim, 2013). Another barriers or disadvantages to using the VL environment is the lack of interaction between the student and

James K. Polk s Goals

History 101

November 4, 2017

James K.Polk James K. Polk was elected as an eleventh President of the United States in 1844 as a Democrat and inaugurated in 1845 only served one term. He defeated Henry clay in this term. Henry Clay is the author of Missouri Compromise. Polk s main aims are tariff reduction, Oregon boundary settlement, and Expansion in West. Polk s first platform is to reduce the tariffs. He wants to buy some cheap foreign goods to reduce tariff thereby achieving one of his goals. He appointed Robert J. Walker as secretary of the treasurer to help the poor people to reduce their tariffs, simulate trade and including imports. The walkers tariff in 1846 was succeeded by James K. Polk. This Oregon boundary was commonly occupied by Great Britain and America from 1818. In Polk s Presidency in 1846 he settled this Oregon border settlement with the Great Britain. As a Manifest destiny president he wants to expand the west side of the United States. He was committed to expanding United State territory to the Pacific area. At that time some part of the Texas was disputed from Mexico and formed a union territory. Polk succeeded in bringing Texas into the United States Union. Texas says the border for them is the Rio Grande and the United States supports Texas in the above claim, As per Mexico, the border is Nueces River, The land between Nueces River to the Rio Grande is in the dispute over Texas and Mexico. Around 150 miles is the disputed area for both the countries. In June of 1845, President Polk sent Secretary General Zachary Taylor to Nueces River in Texas with 3500 American troops to support Texas just in case Mexico declares war. Polk also sends navy power to California along the Pacific coast in secret and advice

Ethical Responsibilities At The Termination Of Their Group

.54#2. What are your ethical responsibilities to group members at the termination of their group? Explain As a group leader, I have a myriad of ethical responsibilities to the group members, especially at the closing of the group. I need to exercise due diligence by using sound professional judgement to make sure each of my clients have some form of closure before they leave the group. In order to facilitate and prepare the group members for closure, I wantto address three main points; I want to consolidate what they learned in the group, understand what they will do with what they learned, and how will they continue receiving support. Each member should share during this time. By consolidating what these men learned in this group, we will be able to understand where each member stands. In this group, members should have learned how to deal with their stress levels and find meaning in their diagnosis. Ethically, I needto recap during the last sessions with the clients to remind them what they have learned so the group experience was not for naught. Accordingly, I want to summarize with the group what they learned about the challenges of being HIV positive while encouraging them to use the skills they learned in the group outside of the group, while keeping the confidentiality of the group members. Accordingly with my facilitation, the clients should explore and summarize for themselves what they learned and how they have changed in the group over the past twelve weeks.

Nt1310 Unit 3 Control Unit Analysis

The Control Unit

There are two types of control unit which are hardwired and micro program where hardwired are for fixed architecture and are typically RISC and cost more than micro program because of the time required to design the circuits , but they are faster. Micro program control units are slower than hardwired but are easier and cheaper to implement as the instructions are stored in special control memory. The control unit controls all data going in, out and inside the CPU. The control unit decodes the data from ram and turns it into an instruction depending on what instruction set the control unit is programed or hardwired to have. A Survey Of Image Based Artistic Rendering Techniques

A survey of Image Based Artistic Rendering techniques

Introduction

Paintings have been known to capture the human imagination since the pre historic times. A skilled artist can evoke a range of human emotions and can portray things like appearances, playing of light in surfaces, mood etc. on the paper. Similarly, with the invention of photography in the 19th century, the artists got a new medium for their expressiveness and simulated artistic diversity. The field of non photorealistic rendering started off in the early nineties with the aim of using the power of computer graphics and create an interface between the two fields. With the exponential rise in computational power and the advances made in computer graphics, the field has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, researchers increasingly sought to automate the process and enhance the sophistication of stroke placement.

The work by Haeberli[2] enabled people to transform photographs into impressionist paintings with minimal labor. The user clicked on a photo, and the underlying system automatically placed the virtual strokes by using the color of the source image. They also added noise to results to enhance the impressionist effect. However, the first automatic solution was a tool proposed by Litwinowicz [3]. This is the paper which we review first in this report.

Processing Images and Video for an Impressionist Effect

This paper aims producing impressions of the original image, i.e. images that give a sense of an original image without reproducing it. They happen to have a painterly feel to them and appear as they have been hand painted. They produce painterly animation from video clips automatically after the user specifies a few parameters to generate he first frame. After the user s preferences are taken into account and he approves the first frame, the whole video segment is automatically produced without further user intervention.

The biggest challenge in videos is to produce a temporally coherent style of animation which avoids flicker and takes into account the movement of objects in the video. This paper was the first one to use optical flow to compute the per pixel movement in images and use it to generate a sequence which is

Girl

In eight quasi connected stories, Susan Vreeland delivers a fictional lesson on aesthetics. Set amidst human sorrow and historic chaos, the narrative follows an imagined Vermeer painting from the present day through 330 years of its provenance beginning with its willful destruction in the 1990s and concluding with its inspired creation in the 1660s:

Chapter 1. 1995(?): in Pennsylvania, math teacher Cornelius Englebrecht burns the painting in his fireplace; 1942: in Amsterdam, from the Vredenburg home, German soldierOtto Engelbrecht loots the painting, hides it, and absconds with it to America.

Chapter 2. 1940: in Amsterdam, diamond merchant Sol Vredenburg buys the painting for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Can you say why some fail to work as well as others?

3. The original title for the opening chapter was Love Burning. What additional textual evidence exists to affirm the painting s destruction by Cornelius? Do you think that Cornelius makes a morally correct decision when he burns the picture? Do you think that Richard ought to have stepped in to save it?

4. In A Night Different From All Other Nights, Hannah slaughters the family s pet pigeons. Why and for whom does Hannah destroy these pets? How is the death of the pigeons related to the Amsterdam setting? In what way is the family s celebration of Passover relevant to this story? Would a different Jewish holiday, say Chanukah, have had the same symbolic value?

5. Why do you think that Digna sews samplers, in Adagia, embedded with quotations by Erasmus? You might want to discuss Erasmus, and the part this Dutch Renaissance humanist plays in the drama going on between this 19th century husband and wife?

6. The Hyacinth Blue chapter is written in the first person and in a vastly different style from that of the other chapters. Authors often use the first person point of view to expose an unreliable narrator. In what way is Claudine s account of these events unreliable? In other words, what part or parts of the story does she fail to understand? Why do you think that Vreeland chose to tell Claudine s story from that character s limited point of view?

Examples Of Unitarianism

A Contemporary Movement As I was reading Reverend Prinster s lecture, I discovered that Unitarianism has always been a movement for social justice. I believe if there is anything contemporary UU s can learn from the church in Transylvania is that UU has always been a voice of the time speaking for equality of all ways of worship. David Ferenc is a martyr and a social activist. In Reverend Prinster s lecture we see how much resistance there was towards Reformation in a region where Catholicism wanted to galvanize trinity and its literal interpretations. David had a strong conviction and a strong moral compass that nothing would move him. He said: Neither the sword of popes, nor the cross, nor the image of death nothing will halt the march

Abstract:

Essay on Multi-Agents for Decision Support Systems

With the advent of e systems; business and consumers have access to a plethora of information which makes the decision making process more complex. The overwhelming information flow makes it extremely difficult for decision makers to analyze the available data and make precise decisions. Under such an information intensive online environment, businesses need to make real time intelligent decisions in order to stay economically and commercially viable. Multi agent systems have the inherent ability to facilitate provision of an adequate decision support mechanism in an e business setting. These multi agent decision support systems are of particular assistance in processing large amounts of data, filtering out irrelevant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Computer systems that have the inherent capacity to take decisions when required are referred to as agents. These systems are designed to make intelligent choices according to the situation. These agents when operate in a rapidly changing environment where real time decision making is required are known as intelligent agents. Typical examples of a multi agent systeminclude a computer program that would perform an internet search for a typical query. The agent would synthesize the relevant information from various web sources and return a document that would carry relevant information based on our query (Weiss, 1999). Based on the prelude, we may define an agent as An autonomous, reactive, pro active computer system, typically with a central locus of control that is at least able to communicate with other agents via some kind of communication language (Weiss, 1999)
