My Father: Immigrant Parents
As a child of immigrant parents, one person I will undoubtedly look up to is my dad.I admire him more than anything. He's the one who made all these sacrifices just so his kids wouldn't have to go through the hardships he did. He grew up in a third world country. Growing up, I rarely saw him because he was so busy working and trying to find superlative possible circumstances so his own children could flourish and aim high. He was going to have the optimal for his kids and nothing less. I never had a good relationship with my mom because of how high her standards were. She was never content with what my dad gave her or what I did for her. She had a tendency to say rude things and seemed unappreciative which is why I leaned towards my dad for

The person whom I admired first time is my mother. But, if we talk about the famous person, I can say that, he is Mahatma Gandhi. He was from India. He is known as the "Father of nation" in India as he played a very important role in gaining the freedom of India.
Mahatma Gandhi gave the Indian People not only freedom but also the new thoughts on non–violence and sustainable living. There are some qualities about him like trust, non–violence, legacy, etc. These qualities are the ones that inspired me. He said that "If my faith burns bright as I hope it will even if I start alone, I shall be alive in grave and what is more speaking from it".
Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in small town named Porbander.

From this, I gain "a basis for my life–long philosophies". I believe in non–violence, therefore I think that killing animals is not right. Also animals are just like humans and we would not kill humans for our meals.
Meghavi: Why you believe in non–violence? Why did you choose the path of Non–violence protesting?
Gandhi: "There are many causes that I am prepare to die for but no causes that I am prepared to kill for". I was like this from my childhood. I was inspired for promoting non–violence by the religions of India, especially Jainism and Hinduism. I don't like to kill anybody or even insects because we can't make them alive, so we have not right to kill them. Since people used violence to gain freedom for India, we got our independence a few years later than we would have if we had only used non–violence.
Meghavi: How do you feel about the criticism towards your ideas?
Gandhi: Sometimes, I feel awful when I heard about the negative remarks about me. However, I took them in a positive aspect. I accept full responsibilities for the results of my actions.
Meghavi: Why did you decide to wear only 'Khadi' (Kind of fabric) that is made by 'Charkha'? (Spinning wheel, the equipment by which you can make the fabric)
Gandhi: I don't want to wear any kind of the fabric that is not made in India. One more thing that is by making the fabric, we can try to remove the unemployment from the India as there is large amount of unemployment.

The person who I am going to write about, is also the most influential person who I admire greatly, my mother. My mother, a single parent has raised two children for the past thirteen years without the help of our father. Being a single mom, she has been the one who has supported me throughout my childhood, both in the good and bad times. I personally feel the knowledge I have gained from the wisdom and skills she has taught me during the past will only benefit me in the years to come. There have been times when I was down due to one reason or another, and with mom being the nurturing mother she is, could sense I needed help. Instead of just giving me her direct opinion, we would discuss several resolutions to resolve a situation. This motivates me, to become a better person by being rational and consider other alternatives, to think outside the box and come up with a better way for all.
My mothers' work ethic is a powerful influence on me as well. After she became a singleparent, my mother had to find a full time job to support my sister and me. Having gone without at times to provide for two small children, she has inspired me to realize that I can support myself if needed. She calls this being the "positive self" as my mother says; meaning I can make positive decisions to support an action in a difficult situation. This encourages me to become self–sufficient, to work for what I want, and to reassure myself that I can succeed in life on my own. I admire my

Over time, there have been several people who have influenced various aspects of my life, based on their personal characteristics, accomplishments, and values. I have been privileged to have had numerous teachers and professors who I respect for their patience and intelligence. There are artists that have inspired me by their natural talents and original creativity. I value many political leaders, who have inspired me by their contributions to society, and their ability to change our futures. Of all the people I have encountered in my life, the person I admire most is my father. As the youngest girl in myfamily, I always considered myself to be "Daddy's little girl." No matter how tired he was from his long work week, he would be up bright and early Saturday morning to attend any of our sporting events, tournaments, or recitals, and then chauffeur us and our friends to slumber parties or school dances. He was always very protective and kept a watchful eye over us. My father's protectiveness and selflessness generated at a young age for him. He is the ninth of twelve children, and often told us stories of how he had to look after, and practically raise his three younger siblings after my grandfather had passed. He made certain they completed their chores around my grandmother's farm, maintained good hygiene practices, and kept up with their schoolwork. School was extremely important to my father, because he knew an education was the only way he could be successful. Proudly, he finished high school at the age of sixteen, but could not follow the footsteps of his older brothers and join the military, because he was too young. Therefore, he decided to continue his studies. The completion of his degree in biology was bittersweet. He was the first and the only one in his family to have graduated from college, however, there were not a lot of opportunities for a young African–American male in 1957, in small town Alabama. After taking few odd jobs, he decided to enlist in the military. My father had encountered many challenges in his life, but one of his toughest was seeking to date my mother. He was

When you look at my family right now, you can see that everyone is separated from each other. My mom and sister live in the states, my other sister lives in the Philippines, and I live here on Saipan with my father. My mother is the kind of person that can voice her opinions, one that can speak to people, and someone who can find a way through any situation. These are some of the reasons I admire my mother deeply. When you look at my mother, she is a lady of Asian descent who seemingly has a quiet and menacing aura. One thing I admire about my mom is the fact that she can speak her mind out, whether it was hurtful to one or not. I recall a time when we were at a big mall with a seemingly endless vast of clothing, which seemed to be Macy's clothing shop if I recall correctly. We then entered the faded sliding door in which the intoxicating smell of sweet perfume assaulted my nostrils; the smell was extremely thick it seemed as if you could see the waft of perfume. This scent caused my mother to say "The smell here is horrid", and the staff working there looked at my mother wondering "who was this lady who just insulted the ...show more content...
During those adventurous trips I seem to notice that people often spoke to her. In just about anywhere, whether it may be a shop or a hospital, my mother seemed to run into people that knew her, including the dock with the big huge ships; someone seemed to have known my mother. I remember going to Managaha and my mom just stepped into a boat and asked a man to take us to Managaha, and he did. Apparently my mom was his first aid instructor, so he gave us a free ride there and back. I saw the glittering ocean and I smelled the fresh salty breeze, it was almost as if you could taste the air of salt. The ocean was a magical place, after we stayed at Managaha for a bit we returned home. My mother's affable personality was one of her charming marks that attracted people to

My Dad Inspired Me Essay
Everyone needs to be inspired and having others inspire you can only have positive effects. Its one of life's win win things. By acting in ways that inspire others we ourselves benefit, as we are giving rather than receiving. Also, those we inspire benefit and hopefully go on to inspire others in turn. It can only be good thing for society as a whole when we are inspired by others and are ourselves an inspiration to ohers. So who has inspired me? Well, as a young person there were many people who inspired me. I didn't have a particularly easy childhood, as I grew up in relative poverty and my parents divorced when I was aged 8, after a traumatic marriage. Parents who lost children were amongst the most inspiring but sometimes it was individuals who showed joy at life's blessings such as the birth of a child. When my wife was in hospital with complications before the birth of our son, we became friends with an Ethiopian couple who were having similar problems and they were an inspiration with their constant joy and faith, whatever the situation. We have remained friends ever since and though they have experienced many trials in life since, they remain as positive and joyful as ever, no doubt due, in large part, to their faith.
These are all people I have met, but many who I have never met have also been an inspiration. Who can fail to be inspired by Rev.Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela? The list is too long to write out in full but here are some others who have inspired me in a particular area or in general:
. Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan with their music and lyrics
Queen Elizabeth II with her devotion to duty, ability to relate to anyone and everyone and her fortitude when life deals her a poor hand
Ansel Adams– photographer
Those who forgive the murderers of their loved ones when all the world is full of hate and bitterness

A person who I admire A person who I admire is an interesting topic. I believe you can admire more than one person. A typical admiration I have seen is when people boy, are admiring a very famous singer, actor etc. although it is typical, it is still a good admiration because you can use that person as your role model or idol. Fx. If your role model is a sportsman, then you can admire his performing skills, and maybe learn something from him or her. But trough my life I have admired many persons, friends, older people, teachers, etc. All these people have given me experiences and personal abilities which I have acquired with help from them. Lecrae Moore is the person that I admire and look up to the most. Lecrae is a Grammy winning contemporary Christian rapper. But if you ask him, he will tell you that he is a Christian and he is a rapper but he is not a Christian rapper like his world attained title proclaims him to be. He claims that his faith doesn't define his career. For example, we don't call the local car mechanic the "Christian car mechanic". He is just the car mechanic. Being a Christian in modern day America isn't easy, but when you have someone there to guide you along your walk with Christ, it sure makes the road a little less bumpy. How can someone help you spiritually and mentally when they have never spoken to you in your life? The answer to that is quite simple: through the words in his songs, the inspirational and thought provoking status updates on his social media accounts, and his obvious love for his family and God. To start things off, I am from a super small country town and I attend a very conservative Baptist church. I never thought I would listen to anything but country music and the hymns we sang at church. I found Jesus and was baptized when I was 11 years old and unfortunately for me, I didn't fully grasp what all I was supposed to be doing with my new life. One day, my sister's boyfriend (now her husband) came into the house laughing andrapping to the song that was playing on his phone. I saw the joy in his eyes as he sang the verse that said "I'm riding with my top down

2. sensitive to temperature changes A thermometer has low specific heat capacities so it enables heat to be easily absorbed and released even when small quantities of heat are involved.
8. A substance with a high value of specific heat capacity
1. heats up and cools at slower rate. Require more heat to raise its temperature by a specific amount. Poor conductor of heat – handle of pot 2. can absorb a great amount of heat without a high increase in temperature. For example, water acts a heat reservoir as it can absorb a great amount of heat before it boils. Water is used as a cooling agent in a car radiator.
9. Applications of Specific Heat Capacity Cooking pot (a) Copper base Low specific heat capacity. The pot becomes hot very quickly. This enables quick cooking of the food in the pot. High density. The heavier base ensures that the pot is stable and will not topple over easily. Large specific heat capacity. The handle will not become too hot when heat is absorbed. Poor conductor of heat. Relatively low specific heat capacity. The pot becomes hot quickly. Low density so it will be lighter Does not react with the food in the pot Land has a smaller specific heat capacity than sea. Faster increase in temperature, ie land is warmer than the sea Air above the land is heated up and rises. Cooler air from the sea moves from towards the land as sea breeze.
