The RPHA series, which includes the RPHA 11 PRO, RPHA 90, and RPHA 70ST, delivers on the promise of class-leading light weight through cutting-edge technologies that lead the helmet industry. All three helmets feature HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (PIM) Plus construction, which incorporates four different materials - carbon fiber, aramid, fiberglass, and organic non-woven fabric (ultra-high molecular polyethylene) - to create a unique woven blend that is both remarkably strong and lighter than conventional helmet materials. PIM Plus construction results in a shell weight that is significantly lighter than competing designs for greater rider comfort. To create these modern, complex shell designs, HJC employed CAD design and rapid-prototyping technology, along with extensive testing of multiple prototypes within HJC’s state-of-the-art wind tunnel. Solution: Pinlock®’s brand new Overlay. The Overlay makes use of advanced photochromatic technology, integrating into an innovative external visor concept. The Overlay Lens changes from clear to dark smoke in a matter of seconds, depending on light conditions. The technology of the Overlay utilizes a UV-sensitive photochromatic film sandwiched between two premium quality polycarbonate layers.
