Day 1 Thursday 19 September 2024 Welcome to Alba
Morning arrival at Glasgow Airport from Amsterdam around 08.30 Meet and greet by Hello Scotland Briefing and depart the Airport in a fleet of Self -Drive Classic Landrover Defenders
The Highlands are Calling
Today we begin our journey and head off to the north, passing the Highland Fault Line alongside Loch Lomond
Coffee / Scones / Kilted at Loch Lomond Arms
Here we will stop at the characterful village of Luss, where we will be welcomed at the Lomond Arms, a rustic and charming pub where fresh coffee and home-made scones/clotted cream will be served A little surprise then awaits them following this as they are invited to enjoy a little surprise in the form of a Kilt fitting – so they are then properly ready for their Scottish adventure We continue to the north, winding our way through the western highlands, passing the village of Crianlarich, Tyndum and Bridge of Orchy as we finally drive through the majestic and magnificent Glencoe – but we then turn off along a single-track road to Glen Etive for another little surprise !
A Bond-Esque Photo Shoot in Glen Etive
A short distance along this idyllic and private glen, on a single-track road and you reach the exact place feature in Skyfall. Here we will stop…and set ourselves up for a short photo-shoot…Mr Bond and his Bond Girl of course in front of their classic Landrover, with the mountains around them! We continue north, exiting Glencoe, pass by Kinloch Leven to reach the west coast and then head north hugging the coastline to Fort William
Lunch at The Silly Goose
Here we take a pit stop for some locally source produce and a light lunch at this renowned foodie place Next, we head off out of Fort William, again hugging the west coast, up through Lochaber, stopping for coffee and a viewing of the Harry Potter Steam Train as it passes over the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct ! Early evening, we arrive in the fishing port of Mallaig and check into the West Highland Hotel, followed by some time to chill

A short walk from the hotel is the bustling, working harbour and here we will enjoy a short pre-dinner walk with then some pop-up hospitality in the form of a glass of local gin and some fresh, hand-dived scallops!

A private dinner will be set up within this area of the hotel, giving outstanding views over to the islands of Eigg, Rhum and to the famous Cuillin Mountains of Skye Nightcaps in the bar, and off to bed…a big day is ahead!

Day 2 Friday 20 September 2024 Private Breakfast
Everyone can enjoy some freshly made coffee and a hearty Scottish breakfast to prepare them for the adventure ahead
Going Wild and Remote on The Knoydart Peninsula
Today we head off from Mallaig Harbour in a small fleet of 10m rib boats, we head off on our adventure to the north, visiting remote lochs such as Loch Hourn and Nevis, looking out for a variety of Sealife and stopping for a short walk perhaps on an isolated shoreline… the scenery is simply break taking and these areas are only accessible via a 20 mile walk or 10 miles by boat!
Lunch at The Old Forge or cook seafood on the beach
This old pub, located in Loch Nevis is the most remote pub in mainland Britain, but a warm welcome awaits, some good food and some good chat…all courtesy of the locals who bought this place in 2023, to make it a community owned restaurant and bar!
Meet The Ultimate Adventurer
Following lunch and a short walk, the group will be introduced to an amazing character.. In the form of Tom McLean. Retired now, but he will share his story with everyone…a story which includes the SAS, rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in a 3m boat, sailing across the Atlantic in a 2.5m boat and much more !! Leaving this remote part of the west coast mainly, we will jump back in the boats and head for the Isle of Skye
A Special Visit | Talisker Distillery
We will reach the beach in front of this Distillery by boat…first, we will be welcomed by the management of the Distillery, split into two smaller groups and enjoy a private tour and tasting of this , the first of only 2 licenced single malt distilleries on Skye… Next, we travel by coach , across the northern coastline of the island
The Old Man of Storr - A Secret Dinner !
Leaving the coach behind, everyone will be dressed in wellington boots as we head off for a short walk in a glorious landscape … where the first surprise of the evening reveals itself- a pipe band…who will lead everyone for the final part of yourshort walk to a Secret Dinner location A stretch tent, beautifully set up within with rustics tables, chairs, décor etc….and with one side open to give everyone a dinner with the most amazing setting for dinner….a view to a sunset over the Old Man of Storr!! After dinner we head off once again in the coach, to then meet again our ribs and its back over to the mainland and to the west highland hotel (Alternative option would be dinner at the Old Inn Pub, only 200 metres from Talisker Distillery – then back to Hotel on the ribs)

Loch Ness - via The Great Glen
Today we head off from Mallaig, once again self-driving on our fleet of Landrovers and head through the Great Glen, which takes us alongside the famous Loch Ness
Morning coffee with - “The Monster Hunter”
The picturesque village of Dores, on the southwest corner of the loch is where we will stop…not only for the coffee served at the Dores Inn, nor the lovely walk on the shingle beach with the beautiful views up the loch…but to meet and have a chat with Steve Feltham, the only full-time Nessie hunter in the world !! From here we continue, passing briefly through Inverness and heading then south into the Spey Valley, stopping for lunch on the way
‘Top Gun’ Challenge
Located deep in the Caledonian Pine Forest, is a naturally set shooting school and here they have a wide variety of simulations, some great instructors and a chance to reach inside and pull out your competitive spirit in this clay shooting challenge From here we head south into Highland Perthshire
Dinner and Overnight in Fonab Castle
In the early evening you will arrive in the private grounds of Fonab Castle and be welcomed by the Castle staff and enjoy a welcome drink on the lawn and a stunning view over Loch Faskally You will then be invited to your room and be individually walked there by the concierge and other hotel staff Time then to chill and unwind after the day’s drive Dinner will be served in the Castle and the award-winning Chef’s will prepare a memorable final dinner for all Overnight in Fonab Castle

Day 4 Sunday 22 September 2024 Breakfast
A final breakfast for all before we check out and pack the Landrovers Our drive is a short one, to the village of Dunkeld and onto a private estate and up the hill…
Technology Driven
It's here we wave farewell to our trusty, classic Defenders and jump into a fleet of the latest in the Landrovers and Rangerovers. Guided by an experienced instructor, this is a chance to drive these incredible vehicles around an off-road track , exploring and experience all their latest technology We then head south, out of the highlands and into the lowlands, crossing over the River Forth, via the new Queensferry Crossing and on to the village Ratho, perched on the Forth Canal
Farewell Lunch in The Bridge Inn
This family owned and run restaurant will play host to your final lunch with family style being the focus, with all local produce and a creative way of presenting food that really makes an impact From here it’s a short trip back to Edinburgh Airport, for check in and your flight back to Amsterdam…and the end of your Scottish Adventure
