With multiple entertainment stages offering some of the best DJs and live performers all day, this year’s Gin & Tonic Festival at The Old Biscuit Mill has a lot in store. In addition to top-notch entertainment, the heroes of the event are the fresh new gins (along with your favourites). The 7th of April promises to be the ultimate day out – an exciting exploration of the country’s bestloved, undiscovered and newly crafter gin brands. Tickets cost R200.

Kong Cape Town is a vibrant, lush gastropub that serves intercontinental cuisine in a laidback environment. Merchants On Long

Home to the traceable, sustainable and ethically sourced African luxury Okapi products, and sponsor of the Victoria & Albert Museum Africa Fashion, Merchants on Long is the original African concept store and a treasure trove of African design. It is the home of African fashion, celebrating and promoting the best of what the African continent has to offer. The store was opened in 2010 and has evolved into an international platform for both emerging and established brands from around the continent. This includes award-winning fashion brands like Sindiso Khumalo, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Rich Mnisi and MmusoMaxwell. All brands stocked at Merchants on Long are ethically made and sourced on the African continent. Merchants on Long’s flagship store and office are based in a historic 1896 building, designed by architect Anthony M. De Witt. They also have a Merchants Boutique at the V&A Waterfront.
