Things to do with each member of the family There’s no better time to spend some quality time with your loved ones than the festive season. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of the best things to do to give you and each member of your family an Dad awesome bonding experience.
Grandparents
We’re sure that Gran and Grandad wouldn’t mind another trip to the local church fête, but you on the other hand? Not so much. Why not do something a little different and pay a visit to Parkers Comedy and Jive? Your grandparents are sure to appreciate the liveliness and will most probably laugh like they haven’t done in years. The club always has a great variety of brilliant comedians and shows to choose from. Treat them to a meal while you’re out as the club has quite an extensive menu, or you could take them to one of the many restaurants in Montecasino. Who knows – they might have so much fun that they’ll even want to play some slot machines after!

Teenagers
Quite possibly the hardest member of the family to please, teenagers are notorious for not enjoying things. So, a trip to Soweto Towers for a bungee jump may be just the thing to get them to them to open up a bit. We guarantee that after they’ve done the 100m jump, they’ll be far too full of adrenaline to act aloof. It’s also an awesome activity to do to make lasting memories and you might surprise them by showing your wild side and taking the plunge as well ... not to mention the unparalleled view from the top of the towers. Mom
Spend an afternoon exploring the Wonderboom Nature Reserve with your father. This 200hectare lush nature reserve is located in the northern part of Tshwane and straddles the Magaliesberg. It’s also home to its namesake, which is a fig tree that is over 1,000 years old. In fact, the entire nature reserve was built around this 23-metre-high tree to protect it. The long walks and historic scenery which includes The Wonderboom Fort is one of the four forts built to defend the city against the British and will give you ample opportunity to chat and catch up on the things you may not have had time to talk about during the year.
