Integrity Methodology ‐ Discard The following five methodologies can be applied to provide wire rope integrity assurance: • • • • •
automatic discard (replacement) after a set period, thorough examination and inspection; non‐destructive examination; destructive tensile testing; and a range of post‐retirement activities which will provide feed‐back into the integrity management system.
