The best-dressed guest, of course, was stylist Lotta Volkova, who wore Miu Miu’s bizarre halfsocks with what looked like a spring 2024 Band-Aid around one of her toes. It was also fun to see Nicole Kidman pose with her 16-year-old daughter Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban in coordinating schoolgirl dresses. The actress has spent the past six months gently introducing her firstborn into the fashion world: first as a chaperone at Balenciaga’s fall 2024 haute couture show, then as a chaperone at Omega’s red carpet event during the Paris Olympics, and then as a new face anointed by Miuccia Prada.
We chose Calamigos as the location for our welcome party because of its Northern California feel. We loved the large redwood trees lining the driveway. There were two newsworthy parties at Paris Fashion Week: Rosalía’s 32nd birthday party at the Hôtel Particulier in Montmartre (where Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner celebrated along with just about everyone else in their brand ambassadorship) and Miu Miu’s dinner on the final evening of the spring 2025 season (where Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung, and Little Simz celebrated along with just about everyone else in their brand ambassadorship).
The transition to the afterparty came with a change in atmosphere from quirky fairytale to nightclub. “We turned the inside of my dad’s house into a lounge,” Corinne says. “This is where the design really made a big difference. We had one side of the house for dancing and the other side for relaxing, eating, playing pool, and smoking cigars. Since we were at my family’s house, there was no curfew so we stayed up dancing until 4 a.m.”
