absolute. Since you mentioned Rose's character, how would you like to see the relationship between Sam and Hetty progress? I'm thinking about that little moment in the finale when Sam looked like she might lose the house and Hetty said, "Finally we have a Living One who can serve us - come on. meet us." I think it's a great, hilarious look at their characters. But with that said, how would you like to see that dynamic develop in season 3? Well, they've evolved a lot...We met Sam's mother; We know it's a difficult relationship. I think Hetty - we still don't know if she has a daughter or not. But she definitely has a difficult relationship with her own baby that we know, and so I think they're looking for something in each other that I think will continue to grow.
In last night's season 2 finale, the culmination of the episodic mystery of Alberta's murder ended with Hetty actually admitting wrongdoing. Her son, Thomas, was the culprit, and she covered up his crimes for decades, openly lying to her friends and Alberta in particular. She showed unusual remorse as she stood before the "trial" for these crimes, which exiled her to the woods around Woodstone for a year. One of my favorite storylines in season 2 was the washing machine episode at the beginning of the season. I just think, again, there are a lot of unlikely partnerships [in Ghosts]. The romance [between Hetty and Trevor] is definitely one of them, but I think the friendship between Flower and Hetty will be interesting. Sheila and I text each other all the time, many different scenarios that Hetty and Flower will come up with: We play hide and seek, but then Flower forgets to look.
