SHORTLY Help with rent payment difficulties
IN THE EVENT of rent payment difficulties, you should seek support in good time before your rent becomes overdue. If you are laid off from work or become unemployed, you can apply for unemployment allowance from Kela or your unemployment fund. For housing expenses, you may also be eligible for general housing allowance or social assistance.
If you cannot pay your rent right now, but would be able to pay your unpaid rent in the coming months, please contact your regional company’s lease secretary to prepare a payment agreement. Housing consultants (www.hel.fi/ en > Search for ‘housing consultation’) can help you tackle challenges related to housing or your life situation. Sort and flatten!
PACKAGING MATERIAL AND other waste are now being generated in greater quantities than usual. Waste containers are filling up fast and people are also dumping rubbish at waste collection points that does not belong there. With so much waste being generated, sorting is now more important than ever. Sorting waste into different containers by waste type fills up waste containers more evenly.
The waste containers closest to the door are usually the first to fill up, so check if there is more room in the ones further back. Flatten packaging boxes and stack cardboard packaging boxes inside one another. If possible, store cardboard and paperboard packaging at home and only put them in the waste container when there is more room. Do not take furniture, electronics or other items that do not belong in waste containers to the waste collection point.

How to deduct the sauna fee from your rent
SAUNA RESERVATIONS AND open weekly sauna turns will be continued as of 1 June 2020. Those with a valid sauna agreement will not be charged any fees for sauna reservations in June and July. If you pay your rent via e-invoice or direct payment, you will be automatically charged the correct amount. If you pay your rent yourself via an online bank service, please deduct the sauna fee (EUR 15/month) from the total sum that you usually pay. If you do not know how much rent you should pay after deducting the sauna fee, please contact your area’s lease secretaries. If you pay too much by mistake, the excess amount will remain as an advance payment towards your future payments, provided that you have not accrued any arrears. Alternatively, you can contact a lease secretary to discuss the return of the excess amount.

VID MÖJLIGA HYRESBETALNINGSSVÅRIGHETER lönas det att söka hjälp i god tid innan hyresbetalningen försenas. Som permitterad eller arbetslös kan du ansöka om dagpenning från FPA eller din arbetslöshetskassa. För boendekostnader kan det finnas möjlighet till bostadsstöd eller utkomststöd.
Om hyresbetalning just nu inte är möjlig, men du kunde betala de obetalda hyrorna under de närmaste månaderna, kontakta hyressekreteraren på ditt regionala kontor för att göra ett betalningsavtal. Med boenderådgivaren (www.hel.fi/sv > Sök ”boenderådgivning”) kan man lösa utmaningar gällande boendet eller livssituationen. Rådgivning fås också av Garantistiftelsen (www.takuusaatio.fi/sv) och Röda Korset (tfn 040 660 1108, kotipolku@ redcross.fi).

NU SAMLAS DET mer förpackningsmaterial och annat skräp än normalt. Avfallsbehållarna fylls med fart och till avfallspunkten hämtas även olovligt bråte som inte hör dit. Då det bildas mycket avfall betonas sorteringens betydelse. Avfallsbehållarna fylls jämnare, då skräp sätts i behållare enligt avfallssort.
Avfallsbehållarna som är närmast dörren fylls oftast först, kolla om det skulle finnas bättre rum längre bak. Platta till förpackningslådorna och sätt kartongförpackningarna in i varandra. I mån av möjlighet förvara papp- och kartongförpackningar hemma och för dem till avfallsbehållaren först då det finns bättre utrymme. För inte möbler, elektronik eller andra saker som inte hör till avfallsbehållarna till avfallsutrymmet.
Såhär avdrar du bastuavgiften från hyran
BASTUTURERNA OCH LÄNKBASTUTURERNA roterar igen från och med 1 juni 2020. För gällande bastuavtal debiteras ingen avgift för bastuturerna i juni och juli. Om du använder e-faktura eller direktdebitering för hyresbetalningen sker debiteringen automatiskt med korrekt summa. Om du betalar hyran själv via nätbanken ska du dra av bastuavgiften på 15 euro från det totala beloppet som du vanligtvis betalar.
Om du inte vet vilken summa som ska betalas efter att bastuturen dragits av, kontakta hyressekreterarna på ditt område. Om du i misstag betalar för mycket, övergår överbetalningen som förhandsbetalning för dina följande betalningar om du inte har någon hyresskuld. Med hyressekreteraren kan du också komma överens om återbetalning av överbetalningen.
