2016 Sorenson’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon NAPA VALLEY
First planted in 1872 by Swiss-Italian immigrants and named after Bill Sorenson, one of the longest working winemakers in Napa Valley history who completed 41 consecutive vintages at Burgess.
The Sorenson vineyard is the beating heart of the Burgess estate. Connecting past to present, this vineyard is carved into the western-facing slopes overlooking Napa Valley and surrounded by pines and redwoods. Produced from the oldest vines in our Sorenson Vineyard, this Cabernet Sauvignon had a nearperfect growing season. Flavors of caramelized blackberry and dried black plums are complemented by earthy aromas of cedar, baking spices, and savory aromatics of rosemary, thyme, and a subtle dash of mint.

"I remember vividly the first time I walked the Haynes Vineyard. With it’s 60-year-old gnarly vines and rocky soils, it had an immediate impact. Now, four years later our team is releasing our first wines from this noble site."
The historic Haynes Vineyard, originally purchased by James Whitford from Nathan Coombs in 1866, is comprised of a 43-acre parcel and includes 27 acres planted to vine. A lower elevation site with a sightline to the San Pablo Bay, this microclimate is distinguished by cooler temperatures, with winds and marine fog often billowing through and lingering amongst the rows of vines. 2017 Linda Falls Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon HOWELL MOUNTAIN
Introduced in 2013, Linda Falls Vineyard is the third and most recent of the Heitz single-vineyard cabernet sauvignons.
Perched atop Howell Mountain, Linda Falls Vineyard has a unique topography that allows it to deliver a distinct expression of mountain terroir in the classic Heitz style. S tretching above the fog at an average elevation of 1,500 feet, this area is known for well-drained, volcanic soils and a cooler climate which results in longer hang time. The vines are planted in narrow rows, deliberately positioned to capture the strongest rays of the summer sun. As the fruit matures, the dense spacing and abundant sunshine leads to a low yield of smaller berries with thick, deeply hued skins.

2017 Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon OAKVILLE
Hidden in the shadows of the Mayacamas mountains on the alluvial fan of western Oakville, Martha’s Vineyard continues to embody the pedigree of being named the first single vineyard designated wine in Napa Valley.
In the mid-1960s, an agreement was made between Joe Heitz and Tom May to source cabernet sauvignon fruit from May’s small Oakville vineyard. Since 1966, Heitz Cellar has organically farmed and vinified the classic style of wine from this historic vineyard.

2019 Cabernet Sauvignon NAPA VALLEY
The varying and distinctive landscape of the vineyard parcels included in this Cabernet Sauvignon allows for something very complex to come together.
With balance across the board, each unique parcel occupies a distinct terrain, covering much of the Napa Valley with variations in slope and elevation. Incorporating a portion of Howell Mountain Cabernet, the blending notes of this wine are phenomenal with base notes, high notes, and incredible breadth. The wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon sourced between elevations of 870–1,900 feet and Merlot sourced at 1,850–2,200 feet. TECHNI C A L D E TA IL S

2020 Sauvignon Blanc NAPA VALLEY
Sourced from a steep east facing mountain slope, these Sauvignon Blanc vines were planted in 1996.
The well-drained volcanic soil forces the vines to dig deep into the bedrock for water. This exposure to the various layers of soils comprised of volcanic ash and rock renders a wine of incredible minerality and opulent complexity. Vigilant farming is practiced to retain aromatics while preserving the natural acidity. Use of concrete, stainless steel and large oak vessels marry textures and weight, and lees enhance the saline quality while longer pressing builds structure.

2017 Andosol NAPA VALLEY
A house favorite, Andosol draws inspiration from the historic field blends of California.
The nuances in this wine pay homage to European principles of winemaking, while expressing familiar traits often found in the new world. Each year this cuvee is crafted to best express the unique mountain terroir comprised of volcanic rock and ash formed in the Miocene era almost five million years ago. Undoubtedly, this site and the inherent stress it lends to grape growing saturates the grapes with intensity and depth. The nutrient-rich volcanic soils and rugged site of the vineyards lend vibrancy to this mountain Zinfandel. A unique perspective of the Ink Grade Estate, this polished and bold wine is meant to be enjoyed in its youth but will also age incredibly well.

The flagship Pinot Noir from Matt Taylor Wines is produced from the Komorebi Vineyard located in Occidental on the West Sonoma Coast region.
The proximity of the vineyard to the Pacific Ocean, and its cooler temperatures and early morning fog, is expressed in the wines by lower alcohol, a heightened acidity and freshness that makes its way into this 100% whole cluster Pinot Noir wine. Longer élevage in larger casks along with intentional bottle aging allow for minimal intervention and full expression of the site.
