my story When I was 8 years old, my family moved from Troy, Michigan to Middleton, Wisconsin.

While I disliked the idea of leaving everything familiar behind, my parents’ promise of allowing me to design my new bedroom, which already had hot pink carpeting, my favorite color, was exciting to me. That started my love affair with all things interior design.

I’m thrilled to be fulfilling a life-long goal of becoming an interior designer and achieving this goal later at this point in my life makes it that much sweeter.

I’m fortunate to have started with Zander’s Interiors as a Junior Interior Designer and look forward to learning and growing my career with this design studio moving forward.

boyce residence Objective: To turn an existing vacation cabin into a permanent, year-round residence for the clients.

Concept: Using the lake landscape for design inspiration, the interior elements diligently emphasize the play of natural elements found along this piece of property.

eatery 1701 Objective: To digitally present a design solution for Eatery 1701. Select finish materials, render the floorplan, and present in a digital poster.

Concept: To create a hip, comfortable dining experience while implementing durable, yet beautiful materials and finishes.

Solution: A modern color palette with commercial grade materials makes guests feel welcomed in this new Madison restaurant.

henry residence - living room Objective: To remodel a small, compartmentalized 1950s home into a place that better suits a family with a child with special needs.

Concept: To elevate and modernize an outdated home so that it meets the needs of a lively young family by improving functionality and ease of movement throughout the space.

Solution: Natural elements are used to provide much needed storage, as well as thoughtful space planning for this family.

hare kitchen Objective: To update a 20+ year old kitchen to better suit the needs of the homeowner who does a lot of cooking for her family, as well as extended family.

Concept: To create a functional, and beautiful work area that maximizes food storage and prep areas.

Solution: By employing different zones; storage zone, food prep zone and the work triangle zone, the kitchen becomes an efficient space to cook in.

Concept: To design a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere where the couple can relax.

Solution: Incorporating a light, yet warm color palette and materials and finishes that are calming gives this couple a beautiful new space.

white mountain mercantile Objective: To reimagine and design a live-work environment for a Navajo Textile Artist living with a life partner who is a photojournalist, who prefer to live sustainably.

Concept: The desert landscape of the Navajo people highlights design relationships that are used to drive the design choices throughout the space.

Solution:
