By using the spine to stabilize and connect H Street and 12th Street, you’re creating an architectural thread that not only unites two contrasting environments but also highlights their unique characteristics. The concept of rhythmic spaces, negative spaces, and the blending of organic and structured forms allows the spine to mediate the transition between the energy of H Street and the tranquility of 12th Street, creating a cohesive, dynamic urban experience. This approach will help “bleed” the two streets together while respecting their individual identities, ultimately enhancing the area’s connectivity and sense of place.

Throughout the history of the U street/ Shaw neighborhood in Washington DC has a rich history of music and nightlife. This was the culmination of musicians such as Cab Calloway, louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. These artists have had these special attributes to them coming from different areas in Washington Dc to represent and push each other to create this richness of people becoming a community. How this relates to the concept of “Folding Synergy” music museum is this aspect of how each of these planes have these folds to show this unity of artists working together to push and create this community. While there was small folds occurring in planes there was 2 larger folds that showed these critical moments in the life of all these broadway Artist that were these turning points that took them to the biggest stage of them all and without those surrounding them they wouldn’t be able to do it that’s why this project is called “Folding synergy”
concept revolved on how light would enhance the experience of grand space to smaller spaces as one would want to have an oasis feeling they would feel as if they were in the clouds due to the floating volumes and would get light as a healing peace during there treatments to the spa brief

In this project, I was tasked with designing an Artist Studio House inspired by a selected artist. Our client has requested that we distill some of the major themes and philosophies of their favorite artist to guide the development of a parti for the Artist’s Studio House. I was given Mark Rothko; I chose to use depth, edges, and layers as major themes when creating my parti. The relationship is envisioned as an ecotone, where these two spaces are united by one unique area. The form of the building would adopt the jagged edges from Rothko’s paintings, also incorporating carving of surfaces. On another side, it would convey a sense of depth with planes extending into the distance. Layers are expressed in the garden, with the surface composed of two layers; additionally, the trellis serves as another layer, casting elegant shadows and enhancing the space’s importance.

The symbolic meaning of trees are growth, calmness, and interconnectedness. Our design exhibits these qualities by unifying the community through public gardens and open edifices, adequate learning spaces for the appropriate age groups, as well as sheltered pathways that mimic branches of a tree for interrelatedness and flow. The heart of a tree begins with the trunk. To emphasize this the community hub stands in the center with the Wawa Tree rising above the site, a cultural significance to the Ghanaian people in terms of materials and symbolism.

Every person percieves “death” in a unique way. At times, it may be a positive outlook outweighing the negatives. We find “death” to be a peaceful, and quiet conclusion towards the end of life. The journey is always painful and challenging, but we designed in a way to relieve those anxieties and seek refuge in pleasant spaces. “Sculpting Haven” is located in the rural areas of York, Pennsylvania. Tranquility and nature come hand-in-hand within our design ; interactive gardens, collaborative activities, and sustainable methodologies are key elements that
