CLUB UPDATE
We welcomed 2022 with many of our traditional events. The Boxing Day Treasure Hunt on 26 December attracted 10 boats with almost a hundred participants— a record high for this event and the New Year Sailaway BBQ on New Year’s Day. We hope that we will be able to run more fun cruising events for our members soon. Cancellation Due to the return of social distancing measures, we were forced to suspend the Kowloon Cup—our Club’s first keelboat regatta of 2022. We all hope that our Monsoon Spring Series—whose first race will be on 23 February, can take place as scheduled.

Volunteering As you may know, volunteers are crucial to organising our racing events. We need volunteers to take on a range of roles from managing committee boat races to laying marks during a race. To prepare for the upcoming summer racing season, we plan to organize various training sessions for those who are interested in becoming volunteers. If you would like to learn more about racing and meet new people, please contact the SC to sign up as a volunteer— no experience required! Sailor Awards Night is back After a one-year suspension, we’re pleased to announce that the annual Sailor Awards Night is back and is scheduled for 25 May this year. On the night, we will recognize the best-performing sailors, dinghies and keelboat racing and of course, our volunteers. We look forward to seeing you there. Happy Lunar New Year Lastly, we wish you all a prosperous and healthy Year of the Tiger!
我們舉辦了許多傳統活動去迎接2022年。早前在12月26日舉行的聖誕尋寶同樂日， 一共吸引了10艘船，接近100位參加者，也創下了這活動和元旦航海燒烤日參加人數 的最高紀錄。我們希望能夠接下來為會員舉辦更多的巡遊活動。 活動取消 由於恢復實施社交距離措施，九龍盃賽事被逼暫停，這是本會2022年首個龍骨船比 賽。我們都希望春季系列賽能如期地在2月23日繼續舉行第一場賽事。 義工 正如大家所知，義工對於我們組織賽事活動是非常關鍵的。我們需要義工去擔任不 同的角色，由管理本會賽事到在賽事期間設置標記。為準備接下來的夏令賽季，我 們計劃為有興趣成為義工的朋友舉行不同的培訓課程。如果您想了解更多賽事和認 識新朋友，請聯絡SC去登記成為義工，亦歡迎無經驗的人申請。 帆船之夜 - 年度頒獎典禮回歸 經過一年的中止後，我們很高興地宣佈帆船之夜年度頒獎典禮能復辦，並將於2022年 5月25日舉行。我們將會在該晚表揚最佳表現船員、小帆船和龍骨船賽事，當然還有 我們的義工朋友。我們期望到時與大家見面。 農曆新年快樂 再次，恭祝大家虎年心想事成，身體健康！
