Bridlington Town became the first side to take points off Worksop Town since they also drew the reverse fixture back in August, but they were moments away from taking the victory at Sandy Lane.

Bridlington took the lead after 36 minutes through Andrew Norfolk’s long-range effort, but Hamza Bencherif equalised on the stroke of halftime when he met a corner from the left. Norfolk then turned provided when his ball set Ali Aydemir away and he was able to finish low into the net on 68 to regain the visitors’ lead. It was Worksop who had the final say in stoppage time when Josh Wilde bundled the ball home, following a free-kick that couldn’t be cleared by the Bridlington defence, making it 2-2.
