Whickham were the better side over the 90 minutes on Tuesday night. Our performance wasn't great, though Shaun Newbrook didn't have too much to do. They were a decent side but when they went down to 10 men, we switched on that bit extra and got down the flanks, which is where our goal came from.

In cup games, you can be the worst team on the day and still go through.

That's all that matters, we're through to the semi-final.

We've got to take confidence from it - it's five wins on the bounce, and at any level of football that's decent going.

Sean Reid has been playing through injury recently and Joe Walton took a knock last weekthey're two influential players for us. We decided to rest them and, despite taking two players out of the spine of our team, the lads responded well to it and I'm pleased we got through. We'll ha better a Seaham but we pluggin looking match.

It’s a tough game today against Bridlington. They are a team who can beat anyone in our division - they were one of the first teams to take points off Worksop. They’re a very good side and were tough to play against in December - that game was the start of this winning run so it’ll be interesting to see how we’ve progressed. We’ve got to dig
