HELLO AND WELCOME TO THIS AFTERNOON'S FIXTURE AGAINST WARRINGTON TOWN.
It wasn't the best performance last weekend against Grantham Town. It was a sucker punch to concede when we did and how we did - we were 2-1 up with a matter of minutes to go. We’ve got to take the positives - we had a few injuries and Grantham are a decent outfit so it’s about taking that point and building on it. We’ve got to have a strong mindset this season. We want to make home a nasty place to come where teams fear. We can’t let teams come to our place and do things the easy way - our attitude is to go unbeaten at home all season. It’ll be a tough challenge later today - Warrington have got some good players, but it’s up to us to stamp our authority on the game. I remember it being a close game against them last season. They’re always challenging around the play-offs in the league above so they’re certainly going to be a good outfit. We’ll definitely need to be at our best to get through, but there’s full belief in our squad that we can match anyone on our day. We’ve got a lot of lads who’ve played at higher levels anyway - it’s all about our game plan and what we do on the day, which is hopefully enough to get the win.
