I was disappointed with the whole performance last weekend. Grantham deserved to win to be brutally honest. They're a good side - I said before the game, they'll not be far off the top six. We didn't deal with them in the first half in the second we huffed and puffed. I was pleased to get a point I'm not going to dig the lads out, some of them were playing through injuries. With the list of players we have unavailable, any team is going to
struggle. We just have to move on and learn from it, and look forward to today. Most of these lads work for a living, come here and play through knocks for Hebburn Town. We done everything we can to get 11 fit players out there so I was proud of them in that sense. We had five players written down on the teamsheet at 6:15pm against Shildon, and last Saturda exactly so the l done w four po them tw
I'm hoping we can get at least one or two injured lads back today.
The aim is to stay unbeaten at home and we managed that against Grantham.
We need to stand up this afternoonWarrington are a tough side who have been in the play-offs most seasons, so we need to stand up and give it a real go.
We won't risk lads because we can't afford to - if players aren't available,

AFTERNOON'S FIXTURE AGAINST WARRINGTON TOWN.
It wasn't the best performance last weekend against Grantham Town. It was a sucker punch to concede when we did and how we did - we were 2-1 up with a matter of minutes to go. We’ve got to take the positives - we had a few injuries and Grantham are a decent outfit so it’s about taking that point and building on it. We’ve got to have a strong mindset this season. We want to make home a nasty place to come where teams fear. We can’t let teams come to our place
and do things the easy way - our attitude is to go unbeaten at home all season. It’ll be a tough challenge later today - Warrington have got some good players, but it’s up to us to stamp our authority on the game. I remember it being a close game against them last season. They’re always challenging around the play offs in the league above so they’re certainly going t outfit. We’ll de need to best to through
there’s full belief in our squad that we can match anyone on our day. We’ve got a lot of lads who’ve played at higher levels anyway - it’s all about our game plan and what we do on the day, which is hopefully enough to get the win.

Hebburn Town are delighted to announce Liam Murray has signed a first-team contract.
The young playmaker has inked his first deal with the club, after impressing in 16 senior appearances. Murray came through the Hebburn Town Juniors setup, joining the club at the age of four, and earned Northern League experience with neighbours Jarrow last season. His impressive displays for our U23 side was followed by his first-team debut in December 2021 in the Durham Challenge Cup. His first goal came away to Lincoln United in March, as he scored from 25-yards out within a minute of his substitution.
The 21 year old has enjoyed a great run of form under new manager Daniel Moore, which has included two goals and Man of the Match
performances against Brighouse Town and Shildon.
"He's been outstanding since he came in," commented Moore. "I think he's developing around the players he's playing with.
"The step up has challenged him - he was probably comfortable playing where he was, and we're
challenging him as well. "We've told him that we'll stay on his case to make him a better player we'll work with him and do what we can to make him play for this club at the highest level possible."
The Hornets had a great opportunity with 26 on the clock as Oliver Walters’ cross was misjudged by Dan Haystead, however Liam Murray could connect fully with an open goal in sight. As the first half came to end, Grantham top scorer Harry Wood was sent off for sliding down Murray. Four minutes into the second period, Matt Chatfield's side won a penalty after Robbie Spence's misplaced pass was picked up by Jonathan Wafula, before Tom Devitt took down Nathan Tyson. Centre-back Ashton Hall stepped up to give Grantham the lead, sending Shaun
Newbrook the wrong way. Liam Henderson stuck Hebburn back on level terms after pouncing on a weak back pass and prodding past Haystead at close-range on the 57 mark. Daniel Moore's outfit went in front on 81 as Joe Walton's ball was chested by Henderson before he swung a sublime effort into the back of the net. Lee Shaw made it 2-2 on 90 minutes after heading past Newbrook from a deep cross on the left.
Hebburn's best chance in injury time saw Murray's setpiece cleared into the air, where Henderson headed off the far post.
Ten-man Grantham Town equalised in the dying stages last week to salvage a point on South Tyneside.

BY DAVID COULTHARDWe delve into the history and current form of visitors
Warrington Town. Warrington Town were founded in 1949 as Stockton Heath Albion and played in the Warrington and District League for their first four years. They then moved into the Mid Cheshire League, winning the league title and three league cups in the 1960s.
Future England World Cup winner Roger Hunt played for the club before a move to Liverpool in 1958, three years prior to the name change to Warrington Town.
In 1978, The Yellows became founder members of Division Two of the Cheshire County League, but four years later a league merger took them into the North West Counties Football League. Their first season in the NWCL saw Warrington promoted to Division Two,
and in 1987 they moved into the top flight.
Promotion to the Northern Premier League followed in 1990 when Warrington won Division One. They remained in the NPL for seven years before being relegated but bounced back again in 2004.
Warrington’s most recent cup success came in 2015 when they beat Farsley Celtic to win the NPL Challenge Cup. In 2016, they were promoted to step three for the first time in the club’s history. Warrington came agonisingly close to reaching step two in 2019 when they lost out to King’s Lynn in the super play-off final, and last season after losing at the final stage to Scarborough. Mark Beesley’s side currently sit in 12th position in the Premier Division, with 15 points from their first 10 league games.

Rylands played out a six-goal derby thriller on Tuesday night at Cantilever Park.
Rylands, who started the game with midfielder Steve Irwin in goal took the lead in the 37th minute through a Callum
Dolan penalty, before he quickly made it two when finding the far corner of Tony Thompson’s net. Town halved the arrears on 63 through Stefan Mols, but were two behind again within minutes via an excellent Kane Drummond solo
effort for Rylands. With time running out, Luke Duffy’s deflected effort brought Town back into the contest on 83, and after Bohan Dixon saw red for the home side, Mitch Duggan’s cross deflected off James Nield to grab a vital point for The Yellows.

Hebburn played Warrington Town at home in the same stage of the competition last year. Kevin Bolam's side started the brighter as Amar Purewal's cross, intended for Tom Potter, was picked up by Connor Bell who smashed past the post. Matty Grivosti took on Tom Devitt just before the halfhour, stinging a shot to Mark Foden who tipped over. Paul Carden's outfit drove forward again with 40 on the clock, however Josh Amis' strike was neatly saved low by Foden. Two minutes later, Michael Richardson's corner fell to the feet of Purewal, but it would be stand-in rightback Olly Martin who fired over inside the area. Martin played a deep cross for Purewal who, after taking it down superbly, skimmed the back stick
after half-time. Warrington's opener came as Jack Mackreth latched onto the end of Dom Reid's pass, calmly finishing into the back of the net on 58 minutes.
On 63 minutes, Hebburn came inches from levelling as Purewal troubled the Warrington backline with a driven cross, but a last ditch block somehow sent Bell's effort over the bar.
