Background

Based on the ISTD brief. Produse a proposal for a new edition of Flatland that doesn’t necessarily engage with the conventions of the ‘book’.

“With thie brief we take a different approach. Rather than offer a theme that requires you to generate the content – the Victorian (1884) novella Flatland by the English schoolmaster, Edwin A.Abbott.

Concept/Proposition Create a solution that plays with how you mentally and physically read a book.

Considerations What is a traditional book? How can a book be more interesting? Can layout alone create a big enough effect? How can typography be used to emphasise words / phrases?
