New Logo Debut

The debut of the new logo marks a turning point in this project. Now we are entering the development phase to build on the design that we have now established.

Welcome to the first chapter of the Visual Standards Guide. This is the guide that must be referenced in order to adhere to the brand standards. Along with the new symbol logo, custom typography was developed in order to completely customize the logo type, with the brand typeface featured.

We strive to break barriers and create friendships, in order to work together to establish a better future for humanity.
Mission
13

Our New Logo

The new Peace Corps brand identity has a focus on weaving and coming together to form something larger than any individual. The colors are based on the colors of the earth and used in such a way to represent going along together.

This new visual identity system consists of logo signature, typography, and color. These new brand standards are provided so the brand is always represented in a way that is accurate with the visual design.

Customized Typography

The typeface Pragmatica was chosen because it epitomizes the brand, in that it has a minimal corporate feel, with a humanist edge, just like the Peace Corps.

In order to keep the logo type consistent with the rest of the visual system, yet still unique to specifically the logo, a 0.25pt outline was added to every letter at the size of 24pt. This outline is then permanently attached to the glyph and resized relative to the entire logo mark.

Logo Standards

The logo standards are important so the logo is used as intended when originally designed.

The following information will cover the detailed information regarding the logo including how the logo is constructed, alternate logos, and typographic standards. It is crucial that these standards are adhered to at all times, with no exceptions. This is important to visually represent the brand as the original design intends.

03 Brand Extension Overview

The brand extension overview is a preview of the ideas to come. Each of the new extensions goes back to the core of our mission, which is to break barriers, create friendships, and work together.

The brand extensions were created to transcend the brand into something that aligns with its values, but that it currently is not. These new extensions were classified into the categories of—products, services, environments, events, experiences, co-branding, and education.
