ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Heather Taylor and my portfolio is a representation of all that I’ve learned and accomplished as an interior design student. As a cake decorator for 7 years, there are many transferable skills that I have learned to apply in my designs. Space planning, color theory, and visualization are a few of the many skills that I use daily. While studying at Texas State University I am learning to create spaces that feel comfortable, welcoming, and efficient. I am excited to continue my education to become a valuable asset to the interior design profession.

For this assignment, students were tasked with renovating a kitchen for a client. This project taught me how to hand draft base plans, elevations, RCP’s, and section views.

BASIC DRAWING

Here are a few examples from a basic drawing class that is a pre-requisite for the design program at Texas State. This class taught me how to hone the drawing skills that I already possessed as well as confidence while drawing with pencil.
