EDITORS' LETTER Happy Early Spring!

As we write this letter there is 10in of snow outside, but we're hopeful that by the time this issues hits newsstands, the snow has melted and the sun is shinning. A girl can dream, right? No matter what the weather is like outside as you read our spring issue, we hope you find the inspiration you're looking for to plan your big day!

In our vendor spotlight section we are featuring one of our favorite venues, Hyperion Field Club. Have you seen the view? There are great panoramic views of the golf course, downtown and capitol building, besides being stunning in its own right. (pp. 6 – 7) If you attended the Des Moines Wedding Show in January I'm sure you left with a ton of ideas, inspiration, but have you heard the news?! There will be a 2nd show this year! It will be held at the same great venue, Scottish Rite Consistory on Sunday, August 25th. So make sure to save-the-date! In the meantime, look back on the highlights from the show and meet some of the pros behind the styled shoots. (pp. 10 – 17) The Wedding Choice Awards were held in January and the winning wedding professionals have been awarded.

Words were not exchanged, but they soon connected through social media. Both were a little bashful when they were first talking, but once Cordell asked Kierra to his senior prom, by spring they were officially a couple!

Cordell wanted his proposal to be a moment they would never forget. Kierra had worked at a local café in high school, Cordell thought that would be the perfect spot!
