Recognising an Opioid Overdose

It’s crucial to know the signs of an opioid overdose, which include:

• Pinpoint pupils

• Extreme drowsiness or unconsciousness

• Slowed breathing or snoring

• Skin turning blue or grey o Administer naloxone if an overdose is suspected. o Call Triple Zero (000) for an ambulance after using naloxone— follow-up care is essential. o Higher or repeated doses of naloxone may be required for nitazene overdoses, along with hospital treatment.
