OUR HISTORY
Heartland opened in 1998 by expert anesthesia technicians striking out on their own. Their business model was to provide competent, reliable service and repair of anesthesia machines.
Heartland techs were so often asked by their service customers about which equipment was reliable to purchase that they made the natural progression to refurbish and sell equipment themselves; eventually branching out into more and more types of equipment as their experience grew.
Heartland’s diversity has extended to the complete outfitting of surgery centers and other medical facilities. We can provide everything you require from bins, buckets, and cuffs to scopes, lights, and vents.
At the heart of things, we remain a service company. We aren’t the largest but we may be the best. We have factory-trained field technicians strategically placed to provide our contract customers with 24/7/365 service and up-time guarantees.

REFURBISHING PROCESS
Why Buy Refurbished Equipment?
Purchasing pre-owned capital medical equipment has become very common for hospitals and surgical centers. Many hospital management, government and educational healthcare agencies advocate for the use of refurbished medical devices. A number of factors contribute to this trend; few, if any, are more important than cost and reliability.
Purchase Cost: Pre-Owned vs New
It is typically significantly less expensive to buy pre-owned equipment. When making purchasing decisions hospitals must consider the initial purchase price along with the cost of maintaining, running, and any needed additional training expenses. New equipment can be more expensive to maintain due to a limited availability of machine service providers, thus increasing the cost of routine maintenance. In addition, your staff may need specialized training to operate the new systems.
Buying a professionally refurbished device from Heartland Medical often eliminates unnecessary expenses while providing a familiar, reliable, ‘likenew’ machine. Given such practical and economic benefits it is easy to see how cost is a primary reason institutions choose to invest in pre-owned equipment.
Reliability is a Determining Factor
When purchasing refurbished, hospitals are able to select equipment they are familiar with. In addition they are getting a proven device which has been completely restored, ensuring it is able to perform its functions at the highest standards possible. Professionally refurbished medical equipment that comes with a warranty from a trusted provider has proven to be very reliable with significant savings.
REFURBISHING PROCESS
Heartland’s history as a service company uniquely positions us to know what brands and models have long and reliable life cycles. Our factorytrained biomed technicians rely upon their experience to know the common repair focus points. We have the inside track - and share it with you.
