The people that interacted with Jesus two thousand years ago asked him, "What sign do you give us that you are the Son of God?" Contained in both the question and Jesus' answer is a fascinating commentary on life, faith, and reason.

Today, millions are still asking the same question.

How do we know what is reasonable to believe and what isn't? What is sufficient proof for Christ's divinity?

Biblical faith is more than using your head. It involves your ears, your hands, your mouth, your heart, your mind, and your soul—all of you. Using the analogy of the human body, you’ll discover not only what faith is, but what faith does.

A LEAP OF FAITH I believe I’ve had a few experiences involving words of guidance, warnings, or even just a feeling that God was there. I didn’t exactly grow up in the Christian home where we were active in the church or community. I was taught very little about the Bible or God, so I did not have much knowledge on Christianity as a whole. However, I started to know God mainly through his presence at first. I would feel him throughout random times in my life, even the times when I was younger. I felt him calling out to me, wanting me to talk to him and to develop a relationship with him.

Whenever I go to church I feel like someone is persuading me to join the choir and church services.

The words were hard to hear then, and I could convince myself to think about something else. I wanted to think about something else because I didn’t want to face the reality that I hadn’t sought him out, that I hadn’t fully given myself to him. I did not hear him a lot of times, but each time I remember knowing with certainty it was God who was speaking.

A LEAP OF FAITH At a particularly low point in my life, I tried to convince myself that all of those times I did experience his presence weren’t real. I wanted to believe that he didn’t exist because I thought it would have been easier than believing he did exist with everything bad that happened in the world.

One day, I asked God to prove to me that he did exist. I was crazy for asking signs to God if He was real. It was then that I felt a calling to go outside. I sat down on the bench while I was practicing playing the piano, and I just waited for him. I was listening to music at the time, and a random song came on that I had only heard once before but never really listened to. The title of the song happened to be my name. The song was about starting over and being saved. At that moment, I felt God. This time was different from the last few times. His presence then was very powerful. I’m not sure how other people feel God, but for me, it started at the center and radiated throughout my body. I felt his presence not only inside me but a part of the world around me. I saw Him and his love in everything. It was a beautiful reminder that He was with me and had always wanted to be.

Since then, I have felt him in other ways too, such as a comforting presence and a reminder that he’s with me whenever I am stressed. He has spoken to me and given me warnings about involving myself with certain people or just some people in general who have bad intentions. He’s given me warnings about my actions too, like reminding me what I should or should not do in certain situations.

As I have started to study the Bible more, I have learned more about Christianity. In doing so, it has made me more at peace. It’s also made me consider working in a church so that I can help others experience God in a similar way, and I’m going to serve as a Christian Catechist once I transfer to another senior high. I’m starting to understand the ways in which God works is not always clear to us.

However, there are many ways that he speaks to us and makes his presence known. It is up to us to try to further develop a relationship with God so that we may recognize when he is speaking.

A PLACE OF WHOLE NESS

Once upon a time-- well, more like seven years ago. I was an elementary student back then, 5th grade, to be specific. I’d say I was a very bashful kid, but I would always play with my friends. I was a straight-A student and an obedient student. I was also a good kid to my parents, not that hard-working inside the house, but I always make it up with my grades.

I was the perfect kid if you ask me but, there’s one thing, though. I’m not straight. I’m bisexual. I’ve always felt like that ever since I was 8. It’s not every day; you see yourself having romantic feelings towards both guys and girls. I’m proud of who I am because I’m human by the end of the day. My parents accept me for who I am. Surprisingly, to be honest, I didn’t have to come out to them because they said they already knew.

I had a great life as a kid, not perfect but excellent except for one thing. BULLIES. They’re not the typical bully. All they do is tease me call me names such as gay, useless, salot, and the like. I’m not offended because they phoned me useless or salot. After all, I know within me that I don’t need their validation for my existence. I’m somewhat offended cause they called me gay, which I was not. There’s a difference between gay and bisexual. A gay guy feels intimate to just another bisexual; however, he feels for both male and female.I lived through those years as if I have bipolar disorder. One time, I’ll be happy, then the next, I’ll be sad. Frustrating if you ask me. I wasn’t much of a God believer nor religious back then.

I respected my religion though I’m Catholic. I would go to church if my parents would bring me with them, but I was still not convinced by the idea of God, religion, and all that jazz. I was someone who instead believed in science where they have evidence and explanation. So even in my most challenging times, I never sought help from Him.My classmates, the bullies, to be specific, would continue to call me names, especially calling me gay. I got so mad I ran out of class. I was offended. I got reckless. I ran out of school and attempted to cross the road, and then the next thing I saw was a white light. I was in a hospital bed. I swear my whole body felt like I got hit a thousand times, and I’m not even exaggerating. It was then I got the news that I got hit by a large pickup truck, and I can still remember my dear mother saying, “Salamat sa Diyos naka salbar ka.”Instead, I was surprised because normally, anyone who got hit by a large vehicle would’ve died but not me. I was still breathing. Since then, I have believed in God, and I rested my faith in Him.Fast forward, 6th grade. My family financially got well. We would go out every week to swimming resorts, eat at fancy restaurants, go to the mall, and fill my closet with brand new clothes. I was thankful to God. Not everyone can get this luck, so I’m grateful.

A PLACE OF WHOLE NESS One time we went to a swimming resort, I was so excited. I couldn’t wait. When we got settled, I quickly changed into my swimming attire and invited my cousins to swim with me. We swam at the kiddie pool, but me being a hard headed kid. I went to the big pool without others knowing. The pool seemed bottomless, like 5 feet, but I didn’t know that. I was a four flat feet kid back then. I wasn’t a great swimmer, and so I jumped. I can clearly remember everything being blue. I thought, “ This is it. I’m drowning and dying,” ….but that was still not the case for me. I felt myself coughing; my throat hurt. I was inhaling air like there was no tomorrow. I opened my eyes, and I saw a bright light.I survived! Somebody saw me and quickly pulled me out of the pool. I was so relieved that I saw familiar faces. Those experiences made me strong, and are careful now. Since then, my faith in God has even got more substantial, and I will forever rest my faith in Him.

CHAPTER II:

MOUTH AND EARS

This chapter focuses on the experiences where we used our mouths and ears to speak and listen to the word of the Lord and to the people we have communicated with. The mouth is one of the most powerful tools where we have the voice to express our inward feelings and beliefs, with this in mind, this chapter will consist of the times where we hurt others with our words or uplift them with our word of appreciation. To add to this chapter, events where we wished we had listened better or not hear anything at all towards a result where we use these experiences to be a better disciple of Christ and to reflect on our words and what we listen to.

TWIST OF FAITH What you’re reading is my story, where I was destined to become a chess grandmaster. It all started when I was young, I was like six years old, and I went to school at the Eliakim Learning Center with my sister. I was in grade 1, and she was in grade 4. Because we go to the same school, we also go home simultaneously, and we always go home late in the evening because she has to train to play chess. While I was waiting for my sister to finish her training, I just did what every young child does, run around the school, and tire myself until the day that I tried to play the game. After picking up a chess piece and moving it, that's where I suddenly fell in love with chess.

After playing my first game with my sister's friend, which I lost because I knew nothing, their coach saw and approached me. He asked me if I wanted to learn how to play, and as always, I said "YES!". And so I don't have to wait around for her to finish practicing because I, too, am practicing. I still can't believe that the first chess tournament that I've entered is that I was only six years old; of course, it was also my first-ever loss. I didn't cry because I was young and didn't have "batasan" yet, just what I always do after the tournaments I just roam around.

I think that thing of mine where I just wander around the place instead of crying started when I lost my first tournament. Anyway, after my first tournament, I wanted to become stronger, and my goal was to become a grandmaster. Sadly, I moved to a different school when I was in grade 2; the school was West Negros University.

When I was in grade 2, I didn't play chess or even joined the chess club because I didn't know there was a chess club, so I joined the football club. I know, right? Me playing football is unbelievable, but luckily, When I hit grade 3, my old chess trainer came and took the job as the school's chess trainer, so I went back to playing chess. I may have stopped playing chess for a year, and it was one of my regrets.

Still, it was as fate wanted me to play chess because I did not only remember how to play, but competitions honed my skills, and even though I missed a year's training, I became stronger and better. In my first ever NOPSSCEA tournament, I was in grade 3. It was too much pressure for me because I was a child but my opponents, for me, were huge, like the great wall of China. During my first NOPSSCEA, I had matches that I lost. Still, I also have matches wherein I won. That's like one of my early and significant accomplishments because I was a child who's defeated opponents who are more massive than me.

Chess became my passion. It has taught me a lot about life, like don't judge people because of their appearance because I've met many opponents who thought that I was someone who's playing chess and doesn't have skills. Still, I made them think twice because I defeated them so they would also learn their lesson. Chess made me realize that it's not only about playing the game but also to socialize with everyone; because of chess, I've made a lot of friends. I've traveled to a lot of places at such a young age.

TWIST OF FAITH Way back in 2015, our team almost won the NOPSSCEA but didn't because I had a medical thing that made me take drowsy meds. It affected my thinking process, so there it was, me against my opponent. If I defeated him, our team would be the champion, but sadly, I lost. My mind couldn't take it anymore, so our team ended as the second runner up, I think. That was one of my regrets because I didn't listen to my mom, who told me to eat the food. After all, it would affect me, but as a young kid who likes my mother, she describes me, "Tig-a ulo" I ate the food. Next thing I know, I was in the E.R., but that tournament of ours made it to the newspaper. As I grew up, I've joined lots and lots of matches, won some, lost some, entered tournaments ranging from local to national, and was on the road to becoming a grandmaster. But when I changed school to USLS - I.S. in grade 7, life became more demanding, there were many school works, and I can't balance chess and school until mid-school year where I decided to stop playing chess.

Yes, I still regret to stop playing until now because I was a great player and was on the verge of becoming an even more outstanding player. My mom, coaches, teammates, and friends have tried to convince me to play chess still. Still, I ignored them, I didn't listen to them, and now I regret a poorly made decision. I think them telling me to play is God's way of telling me not to quit because there could have been something waiting for me at the end of the rainbow.

Even though I lost or won any matches, I've never forgotten to thank God because not only He guided me during my games, but He was there with me. My relationship and faith in God were strengthened through chess because I achieved many accomplishments and learned many great life values. In chess, no matter win or lose, players must shake the hands of their opponents. It is a sign of great sportsmanship, and during the game, I entrust all of my moves to God. I've listened to many great grandmasters of chess advocating or sharing their own life stories. I believe that their experiences were like a message from God, telling me that this is your calling in life.

Serendipity of Sound

SERENDEPITY OF SOUND Human beings are born with two ears and one mouth.

Imagine what it would be if we had only one ear and two mouths? That would seem like an abomination, but how come it seems to be that way?

The journey of my faith, as I reminisce, would be filled with turbulence. When I was younger, my parents always told me that I shouldn't talk back, and as an unruly child, my family scolded me for being too noisy or too expressive. Whenever we'd go to Sunday mass, I'd regularly fall asleep or even just proceed to the playground next to the church. I had no sense of religiousness or a bone of attentiveness whenever I was in the church. I never listened, and I honestly regret it because I missed all the lessons and teachings.

Years passed, and I grew my faith through being in my new school, USLS-IS. However, I still wasn't listening to my parents or being attentive to my friends and studies because I only wanted to enjoy myself by playing games and watching anime.

Frankly, I wasn't inclined to go to mass or to pray, but I did love reading the stories and books of Christ. I learned that listening is one of the essential skills to grasp when growing up.

I had multiple experiences in which I wish I could've listened thoroughly or watched my tongue, or spoke less. There was this time where I hoped I let myself listen to my friend's apology, but my selfishness and anger blinded me to the point where I didn't let him speak. Another time would've been, and I talked too much about the situation where I only worsened the circumstances that led to broken friendships. Many harrowing experiences broke me down, to which I relied on God to help me listen better or correct my wrongs.

There was this period in time where I spoke words unnecessarily while as a facilitator for the retreat. I didn't know when to place my humor and to be serious. One of the older alumni talked to me on the side With his guidance and blessing, I met people who taught me to discern everything I hear, see, and speak. Some people taught me patience, and a few taught me to communicate effectively. Through the people I've encountered and spent my time with, I learned that you should always listen more and speak less.

My journey with Christ doesn't end here! I'm still in the process of finding myself and setting goals to reach. Despite all the obstacles along my path, I know He and my loved ones are with me through it all.

Let's never forget to always listen to those around us. Let's never forget to use our mouth to empower others rather than discouraging and hurting them.

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped: therefore, my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise Him.

CHAPTER III:

HAND AND MIND This chapter let us reflect on the knowledge and our underlying conscience about our memories and stories with the Lord where we found ourselves to learn from Him and His scriptures. Furthermore, how He has impacted our minds and continuously provides us peace. In this sense, we’re able to put our ideas, emotions, urges, and many more into action with our hands. We'll share stories about how our hands and minds work together in glorifying the name of the Lord. With the use of our hands, we are an instrument to do acts of service that could impact those around us as taken from Proverbs 6:10-11; 10:4 “Diligent hands doing hard work lead to prosperity. Slack hands and laziness lead to poverty.”

ROOTED: WHERE GOD DEVELOPS ME

WHERE GOD DEVELOPS ME Growing up, I always had a hard time socializing with other people, especially those I just met. I tend to be awkward and shy. I didn't know how to interact or even start a conversation. Most of the time, I will awkwardly stand in the corner looking lost while everybody is having a good time. I grew up being pampered and sheltered too much by my parents-maybe because I was the only child.

I was homeschooled and didn't really have many friends since I could only play outside our house. I have been dependent on them for almost everything. I always feel lost if I am alone or without them. I had been so used to my comfort zone that I became scared to face the real world. As I think of it now, I can't really blame my parents because I know they only did what they think is what's best for me.

As time passed by, the void and emptiness inside me started to grow. When I entered elementary, I made some friends, but I often get misunderstood. If I am not alone, I was bullied most of the time. I didn't say anything to my parents because I'm scared and confused. At that point, I didn't know what to do, what to say, or how I should even feel. I feel like I barely know myself. In the summer year 2014, I have devoted my time and myself to church despite the void inside me. I have joined religious activities, choir, Sunday schools, and alike. I made some friends without being hard on myself and actually have felt a sense of belonging. It turns out I like to write and to read books.

I love the sound of rain and the smell of coffee. I could be bubbly, shy, and even weird sometimes. I am enough, and nothing in this temporary world could ever make me feel less. As I surrender myself to God, I have come to realized and see the purpose of my sufferings. I now understand his plan and why I needed to go through that kind of pain. Prayer has been my fortress all these years, and I have never felt whole in my entire life that I am now with him. Jesus has touched my life most unexpectedly. He has totally changed the way I think of not just others but also myself. He was able to give me contentment and peace of mind.

Through his undying grace, I could forgive and let go of all my hesitations and doubts and life. I was able to find myself and my purpose.

It has been quite a struggle growing up. As I lost hope in myself, Jesus has taught me to have faith in Him. Most times, life can be confusing; it can be challenging to understand what God wants and aspire for us over the noise of the busy and crowded world. But the truth is, God knows what He wants for us. He has a plan and will never abandon you. It could take a while, but everything will be all right in His perfect time.

God sees you, He hears you, and He answers your prayers.

MINDFULNESS IN SOUND

My parents always try their best to guide me, especially starting at a young age. Growing up in a Christian family, my mom and dad taught my brother and I the importance of our faith and worth. They would always let us go to church with them to attend Sunday school. Because of them, I understood the value of our hands and minds in glorifying God. Hello, I am Naomi Esther B. Liu, and this is the journey of my faith. I started committing myself to Christ at a young age. Knowing that my family is also committed to Him and the church, they would also tell me to be an active Christian. In our church, the youth are always advised to attend doctrine classes to widen their knowledge about the scriptures. I also started joining many religious activities at a young age. I began attending different youth camps at 11 years old, multiple youth leadership training at 14, and other activities such as bible studies, Youth Movements, Praise Jams, Team Buildings, and many more. Through these experiences, it helped me and my friends a lot in strengthening our minds with the gospel. Because of this, our faith in Christ got much more profound, making us hungry for more wisdom and knowledge.

Growing up, I also loved music. I agree that I got the genes of loving music from my mom. At a young age, she already engaged in music. She was in many musical groups and choirs. She also knew how to play the piano and was a church choir conductor for years. When she was pregnant with me, she always used to put headphones beside her belly so that I would hear the music. My mom wanted me to be musically inclined. As early as my elementary days, my family already let me take piano lessons. Singing also always had a special place in my heart. I used to sing a lot in school and even compose my songs. One day I became an official member of our church as early as 12 years old.

During those times, the church was already searching for new Praise and Worship Team musicians because the previous team was already at the age where they would all leave for work. As a part of the youth ministry, we were highly encouraged to be trained to be an official part of the Music Team and continue to serve the Lord. Knowing that I have this passion for music since I was a child, I was very excited when I heard the news. I always had this inspiration to play the Bass guitar. When I saw an opportunity to learn how to play it, I didn’t even hesitate to say yes. I practiced the Bass for a few months until we already got the chance to perform on different church programs.

But soon enough, we already achieved our goal, which is playing for Praise and Worship. Aside from playing the Bass, I used to play the tambourine and dance, and also one of the people who manage the technical support. A few years later, I also got the opportunity to be one of the Song Leaders. I always will be thrilled because I get to use my talents to glorify and serve God.

MINDFULNESS IN SOUND At first, I was very confident about how I get to be a part of the ministry, thinking everything will be perfect. But different challenges and trials came, and these made me realize that not all the time everything goes smoothly. The time came where most of us were hectic, from school works, emergencies, appointments, and many more. There was even a time where it was only me (the Bassist) and the electric guitarist. We didn’t have enough time to practice because we already started late and the lead singer wasn’t there. We were still trying to adjust to the Music Team; it was very stressful because we didn’t have enough guidance from professionals. There were many times where I couldn’t go to our Saturday practices just because I was busy doing something else. But when our elders noticed it, they immediately talked to us. They addressed why we should never put anything first before the church. This made me realize how important being committed is and how our “busyness” tries to keep us away from our faith. So our elders and deacons portrayed how prayer can be essential and effective not only in our daily lives but especially during hard times.

So moments came where I cried, praying to God and realizing everything I have done. Knowing how much He has done for us and thinking about how little we do for Him. I learned how we should always prioritize God first because everything will just follow. God has given us hands and a mind not only to use it for ourselves.

We should never forget that He is our creator. Without Him, we won’t be here today. Everything we have achieved in life is all because of Him. Let us do our best to make us of our hands; May it be from our talents, skills, and abilities. Let us be instruments to do things for God’s glory. May we all be mindful of the gospel and God’s teachings, for the truth will always be from Him and only Him. "Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you." - 1 Timothy 4:14 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2

CHAPTER V:

WAYS TO BE AN AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN DISCIPLE

NAOMI LIU Has self-control in her emotions and actions. This is evident in the way she behaves, regardless of how others act toward her. If she is criticized, ridiculed, or persecuted for her faith, she responds with kindness, just as Jesus did. After all, Christ called us all to do as He did. Lives the Word.

A disciple is a light that shines in the world and reflects the Lord in her actions and lifestyle. Her faith is reflected in her words and deeds. “You are the light of the world,” Jesus said in Matthew 5:1416. “A city built on a hill can be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

Professes the Word regularly and effectively. A disciple speaks the Word of the Lord in regular conversation, not in a preachy way, but naturally because it’s what she believes. And she’s so eager to share the Word because she desires to introduce the Lord to everyone.

WAYS TO BE AN AUTHENTIC CHRISTIAN DISCIPLE

JILL MALAN Loves as Christ did. Jesus is love and He was clear when He called all His followers to love as He loved. Disciples understand that it’s not easy to love as the Lord did, but know also that to love others is to love Him. Loving like Jesus is the best way to live. When we love like Him, we can step outside ourselves and clearly see our loved ones and their needs. We can shed layers of selfishness, resentment, anxiety, pettiness, and entitlement.

Most of all, we can rise above our human imperfections and step into transcendent love.

In one way or the other, we cannot bear the burdens that life brings alone. One way I discovered is that one should acknowledge that we need God's strength to be a true disciple. An authentic Christian disciple knows his or her shortcomings and understands that he or she cannot live in this world without the strength and mercy of the Lord. And that suffering is only endurable when the Lord is with us.

To have Humility and Modesty.

We are made in the image of God and whatever we do reflects His image. Being humble is to be a disciple of the Lord because He Himself is humble. He came into this world as a human, humble to His creation. He humbled himself down to man yet, He was God. His creation should be the same.

Be humble to others no matter how high your position is.

Modesty is also a great quality one should have in order to be His disciple. One should be not arrogant nor proud rather, one should be demure and down-toearth. Lastly, one should be modest not just in appearance but also in the way they act.

HEART YAPOYCO Selflessness and sacrifice. Disciples always put others first and in many ways put others needs before their own. This is evident in the disciples’ selfless deeds and many acts of kindness.It helps us act from our heart and soul instead of our ego, tapping into our true desired feelings.It is connected to channeling our energy into completing that task that gives you agony and lack of enjoyment.

Loves Jesus above everyone and everything. The First Commandment calls for this and Christians adhere to this with devotion. While disciples love their family, friends, and even foes, they put the Lord above all else and it’s evident in their priorities. Money, career, ambition may be a part of their lives, but these things and other material interests never come before Christ and following His Word.

CHAPTER VI:

INSIGHT ON 1ST QUARTER CLE

For the 1st Grading Performance Task, we were given a chance to break down the different events and share our learnings about the life of our founder, St. John Baptist de la Salle. He has made us realize the importance of our faith and spirituality by influencing many people during his time and, until today, by his unique life experiences. De la Salle has shown nothing but commitment, love, and compassion for service to other people and, of course, the Lord. His journey taught us Lasallians see and wholeheartedly apply our true mission and vision to our daily lives. Because of this, we are now powerfully reminded of our values not only as Lasallians but also as Christians. Christian Living Education had helped us, students, a lot, primarily through our daily faith.

This subject has ameliorated me as a person by gaining more knowledge about the scriptures and learning more about our spirituality. CLE made me realize the importance of being committed to God daily, even though our academic life. This subject has enlightened me on the importance of prayer, faith, dignity, service, and communion. We are also reminded of God’s different images and how He works through everyone’s lives.

CLE has educated us and developed us into much better people by opening our hearts and minds in serving the Lord alone.

JILL MALAN Despite the current situation, our 1st semester in CLE has been quite a ride. The subject of Christian living Education (CLE) has taught us so much about responsibility, kindness, service, faith, and commitment. It has inspired and encouraged us to be compassionate and forgiving to others and ourselves. As a student, I have learned the importance of faith and compassion, especially in little things. Cle has given me a more in-depth perspective on life that I will hold and treasure as I go along with my journey.

I have learned many valuable lessons, teachings, and moralsespecially from the life of our founder St. John Baptist De Lasalle. His life experience has served as an eye-opener, especially for the young generations who are slowly losing faith in God. It motivates us to trust the process and God's timing. I will always be thankful to Ms. Andre for inspiring us always to do our best and for her undying patience and understanding despite our lapses and shortcomings. It has been a wonderful and productive semester. I will always be grateful to be part of this class.

IAN MORALES Over these past few months, CLE has taught me a lot of things like how to be a good servant of Christ and to reflect upon myself. The subject has never failed to remind me that I’m a son of God who has a duty to love myself and to love others. All of the reflections that I’ve done on this subject have made me look upon myself to evaluate if the things I’ve done were for the good of all.

The first performance task has taught me things that I needed to know about the school’s founding father. The life of St. John Baptist de La Salle made me look twice at the things that I have, he gave up everything so that others could have what he had. His life made me appreciate all the things that I have and even appreciate my life because I may be more privileged than others.

CINDY SAMSON When I found out that our CLE Teacher was Ms. Andre, I was ecstatic to see and be taught by a familiar face. Despite online learning to be quite tricky, our teacher made it easier to work and learn. I’d say I relearned and reflected once again on the life of St. John Baptist de La Salle, and I was able to work effectively with my groupmates, and it helped with my skills. I did not expect to get high grades since this is the first online learning ever. Still, with perseverance and continuous motivation, I know I could work go beyond the limitations.

With learning online, I doubted that I’d learn something new and retain that information; however, I knew that I’d be shocked by new realities, and this subject, CLE, taught me to be more aware of these realities, the pandemic. All the lessons inspired me and would apply in my life as lessons and life learnings.

Therefore, I’d like to say that without you, Ms. Andre, I wouldn’t be aware of any of these realities, be educated more about the life of our founder, and be motivated to become a better person.

JASON LEDESMA Reflecting on our past PT and lessons, I’ve gained more knowledge of God than what I initially had. I learned about the life of St. John Baptiste de La Salle and the history of our school--to how it came to be the University of St. La Salle. I’m someone who believes in God but still don’t have a strong trust in Him. Even though I doubted God’s existence, I respected His existence spiritually and respected my religion. After spending time with this class, however, with the help of our past lessons, I think my faith had become stronger than before. It gave me an eye-opener.

I became mentally strong not just for myself but also for the people around me. My faith in Him became a knot that is strongly tied together and I learned to treasure what I have. In a short span of time, this class had made me mentally strong and changed my whole mindset regarding the people around me, the things that I have, and to myself.

HEART YAPOYCO Last quarter's performance task-gave a succinct answer that addresses all of the major elements of De La Salle’s spiritual momentum, relating his own growing appreciation of how this Patron Saint of Teachers influenced his life and the life of the early Brothers, and how his personal vision and commitment continue to influence us today. Christian Education seeks to teach us about the world God created, how our faith is woven into each area of learning, and how to find purpose and meaning through God’s Will for our life. This CLE class is not just having a bible or religion class. Prayer is a way of communicating between me and God. It allows me to talk to him and listen to him so that I can establish a closer relationship with him.

As I went with my CLE classes, I learned that there were proper ways and intentions that are needed to make the most out of prayer, thus I reflected on my prayer life because of this subject. This subject refreshed us about God’s existence and other topics such as our faith and ourselves. With this Christian Education, we learned that God does not only exist on Sunday, but it is constantly at work in the world each and every day. At the very heart of the Christian faith, we are thought to love God and our neighbor. This teaches young people like us to be loving and caring citizens and to show kindness and respect. In addition, our Christian values inform our character to act in an honest, just and responsible way.
