What is Diastolic Heart Failure?

In simple words, Diastolic Heart Failure or Diastolic Dysfunction starts with an inability of the left chamber of your heart to fill with blood. In turn, this results in a reduction of the amount of blood that is pumped out of the body during the diastolic stage. So, when a person experiences a sudden ache in their heart which is typically connected to the stiffness of the left ventricle resulting in unrest and increased end-diastolic pressure. Normally whenever a person experiences a slight ache in their heart, he/she feels that they are experiencing a heart attack. However, that is not the case most of the time.
