My Call to Action at the Annual IPPF Patient Education Conference Staci White I think of my experience with pemphigus vulgaris (PV) as a journey. Instead of focusing on when that journey will end, I focus on how it will evolve. Framing my experience in this way allows me to show myself compassion as I move back and forth fluidly through the phases of this experience, recognizing my good moments, challenging moments, and those that occupy the space somewhere between the two. Being fully present in this journey moves me to seek understanding, be open to connection, and avail myself to being a part of a community of others who are also walking this path.
