Can Skinwalkers Swim?
Two worlds, Las Vegas’ rich suburbs and Navajo country, provide contrasting settings for a mystery/thriller and a coming-of-age story as a vendetta threatens a teenage girl. The discovery of three bodies in Lake Mead, Nevada, triggers a murder attempt against Darby Donati, the rich, snarky daughter of the owner of one of Las Vegas’ Casinos. As the body count grows, Darby must not only survive threats on her own life, but learn why and who she really is. As FBI agents work to identify the recovered bodies, Darby escapes a kidnapping attempt and flees to the remote Navajo chapter of Pinon, Arizona. There she discovers relatives she never knew she had. The friendship and care of her equally-threatened great-grandmother and aunt leads her to question not only her identity but her entire previous way of life.
