Information/Fiction Information/Fiction C’est par la prise en compte d’un contexte social et culturel que les étudiant-e-s sont introduit-e-s à une politique de l’image et sont amené-e-s à s’interroger sur la réalisation et sur la réception de leurs projets. Que fait un-e artiste avec un appareil à enregistrer, à reproduire et à diffuser de l’image et du son ? Sans se limiter à ajouter des images dans un monde spectaculaire qui en est déjà saturé, il-elle propose un rapport spécifique à son environnement culturel et social. Ce rapport peut passer par la fiction ou l’autofiction comme par le document, la constitution d’archives, le détournement, l’enquête anthropologique, la participation à des communautés, etc. C’est par la prise en compte d’un contexte social et culturel que nous entendons introduire les étudiant-e-s à une politique de l’image par ses pratiques en les amenant à s’interroger autant sur la réalisation de leurs projets que sur les conditions de leur réception.
What does an artist do with a device that records, reproduces and diffuses images and sounds? Unwilling to simply add images to a spectacular world already saturated with them, they put forward a specific relationship with the cultural and social environment. This relationship may involve fiction or autobiographical stories, documents, the constitution of archives, diversion, anthropological studies, participation in communities, etc. Through the awareness of social and cultural issues, we aim to introduce students to a political understanding of the image in practice. The option encourages self-exploration as they work on their projects and the questioning of the conditions of their recognition.
