Orientation - Aug 22, 4-8pm & Aug 27, 10am-2pm

Drop in to receive timetables, locker assignments and shop the wardrobe resale. Students can familiarize themselves with their locks, locate classrooms and meet some staff and students. Students can meet with Student Services to make changes to their course schedule. Attendance at Orientation is not required. If you can’t make it, there is a designated check-in on the first day of school.

Edsby

Edsby is a secure online learning management system. Parents, staff and students all have access. Edsby is a place to review student progress, find out what is happening at school and communicate with staff. In late August, parents of new students will receive an email with instructions to set up an Edsby account or link a new student to an existing account in August.

Transportation

Most of the school buses serving HDCH are operated by Christian elementary schools. Bus details, such as fees, stop locations etc. are generally handled in connection with one of the schools. It’s ideal to make these arrangements before the end of June, as many schools operate with a small staff over the summer break. Please take a look at the Transportation section of our website to find out who you should contact. HDCH does not operate late busses.

Wardrobe Parental support of wardrobe standards is crucial. • For new items, please visit our wardrobe page on the website. • Gently used items are sold in late August at Wardrobe Sale. • HD does not require a uniform for gym class.

Lockers & Locks

Students are assigned a locker with a school supplied lock. Students will receive their locker information at Orientation or on the first day of school.

School Supplies

Classroom teachers will let you know what supplies are needed on the first day of school. For the first day, please just have something to write with, and something to write on!

The Knight’s Eatery

Our cafeteria serves hearty and reasonably priced meals each lunch hour. The menu is posted on Edsby. Reloadable cards can be purchased in the office.

KnightLights

Be connected and informed about HDCH happenings via the weekly e-newsletter distributed every Thursday throughout the school year.

Re-Enrollment

All current families receive a form to complete to indicate your intention for the upcoming school year. This helps us plan for the size of the school, each grade and for classes. Current families receive priority to re-enroll current students and enroll a new student.
